The Lestranges

The main reasons I hate these characters is due to the torture of Nevilles parents. I actually think that Bella is the main character of these three - she is the most evil one which is cemented by the killing of sirius black.

Yes, I agree. Bellatrix is horrible - you could even go so far as to say manically insane :D

I think there's more to her than meets the eye though... I think she'll play a large part in book seven.

Although I wouldn't like to see Neville become a killer (although I imagine a lot of the characters will have to kill, or at the very least, injure) - it would be justified if it was Neville who killed Bellatrix in the end.

She'd be getting her just desserts.

I agree with you that we havent seen the last of her and also with Neville, though I think it would be apt for neville to kill her, or perhaps he will simply attack and body bind her so she is thrown to the dementors. Nevilles character seems to lead up to something like this throughout all the books and it would be good to see him finish off the one person who led to the demise of his parents.

The other thought, though, is that Nevilles parents actually manage to become less insane and finish her off themselves

That would be good...although I don't think there's any way for them to wake up. I don't think it's JKR's style for all Voldemort's spells to be reversed when he is defeated (this I have seen in a lot of fanfics!)

I don't think there's any way for Bellatrix to be redeemed (as is also seen in a lot of fics). She's evil through and through and won't change.

I agree - there is no redemption for her - she is plain evil, and I think she will die for certain

I think that she has no need for him. She has soon become 'close' to voldemort and perhaps strives more for his acknowledgement than her husbands who she perhaps sees as simple tool

Do you think that Bella is more devoted then her husband, becasu ein the trial she seemed more passionate and less sorry than he did.

I think her appoligetic passion derives from her evil nature. She couldn't care less if someone else got into trouble as long as she was still close to the dark lord

Bella whoa she is like amazing lol! I love her to bits such an amazing caracter I hope that we will see a lot more of her in the next book.

Bellatrix is- simply put- my FAVORITE character ever. (next to percy and ron XD)

Gah, I just don't know where to start here XD Most of you know I play her on way too many sites, and it really ticks me off when people play her wrong. She's more than just another crazyily evil follower! She's made a name for herself other than just a death eater, and with Voldemort's numbers and expectations, that's pretty impressive. I also hate when people give her an arranged marriage (though this is partly cannon; according to JK she took a pureblood husband because she was expected too) I think her parents would have at least expected their eldest daughter to have enough brains to pick one on her own. BELLA/RODDY LIVES ON!!!

Well, my opinion of Bella is quite...err...strange...
I find Bella at one time in her life; the in control female type. She knows what she wants, and does whatever it takes to get it. Of course, it would start off small like grades or a boy; then grow into an obsession like getting the Dark Lord's respect. I feel her relationship with Rodolophus was arranged, of course. Very old school of me. But, just the way it seems, I believe that in the end it would have been Lucius/Bellatrix. Bellatrix a fire that would be hard for Lucius to cool; Lucius the only one that would have a shot at controlling her. Hmm...

Roddy I find a bit weak. Just a arrogant French boy that does anything to gain the attention of Bella (his Belle). I feel that he lives in his brother's shadow and thus tries to find a way to shine.

Rabastan is one of my all-time favorite characters. I find him to be close to Lucius in a respect basis where they are close friends. Rabastan being the quieter, studius one. I find him to be interested in the Dark Arts; but not for the pure evil of it- but by the attraction of power. He would always be attracted to power and intelligence. (maybe friends with Dolohov?)

I know these characters are evil, and I dont stand for what they did. I love them for their passion, dedication, and trust. Haha, they are my favorites. Gahh, they are so awesome XD

I was recently wondering about there marriage. How could Bellatrix marry this man even though she was in love, quite passionatly with Voldemort. I think she was more involved with the Deatheater than he was.

Bellatrix probally onle married him because her parents wanted her to :/ think about it... She dosnt seem to care much about him, she ran off with Voldemort, and let him be sent back to Azkaban... she loves Voldemort, not Rodulphus.

Thats true. We don't see much of her husband though. It seems like a really odd family dynamic. I do understand her parents wishes to have her marry a pureblood though.

Yes, it is very wrong. He was her cousin and all, and to kill a man is unforgivable. :[
and, although it dosn't say it, I think it is very possible she killed Tonks and Lupin too. (or does it say it?)
She is just horrible. But she has that passion in her for the Dark Arts, dedication and all that good stuff. haha.

I must say, I wish she had developed Rodulphus a little more though... he seemed interesting. And we see him one time, in Azkaban in the movie. Other than that, he plays such a tiny role. (Good for Fanfic though!)

I think Bellatrix's husband was really hussed up. I would like to see him maybe in DH scene were theres the big meeting. I would love to see him give Voldie looks because Bella loves him so much lol

I think Bellatrix deserved her own thread. The other two barely matter to the story aside from Neville's family (which Bellatrix could have easily done without their help). She is my favorite villian in the series, and one of my favorite villians ever. She is pure evil, but in a way that is unlike Umbridge, or even Voldemort. I think that in the end, if Voldemort had died and she had lived, she would have followed right along in his footsteps and been a pretty big threat on her own. Though I am glad Molly was the one to kill her. She is one of those villians that you love to hate, like Joker in Batman.

Exactly. You can't help but love her despite the fact that she's evil evil evil. She's such a dynamic and intriuging character. I agree that she could have been a very big threat on her own. And like you said, I'm glad that Molly was able to finish her off as well. She definitley deserved it.
