Mr & Mrs Granger

We don't know much about Hermione's parents, other than that they are dentists.

I'm not sure what to make of them to be honest. The impression you get is that they don't worry about Hermione as much as they should, or perhaps she hasn't told them that there is anything to worry about.

Do they know about the situation in the wizarding world? Do they know the danger their daughter is in?

What are everyone's thoughts on them?

Well, assuming that Hermione's a smart witch, i don't think she would have told them about all the dangers. I think, as Muggles, they would have flipped. Most likely. Just imagine, if your daughter comes home sfter her first year and says "Mom, Dad, guess what!? I ran into a troll and we totally beat it up, isn't that like awesome!?" xD I know my parents would flip. Maybe send me to mental hospital for that matter... anyway! Didn't Hermione also say, when she got made a Prefect, that it's something her parents know? So maybe they do know some things, not all of it though...

yea, I think that she's honest with them, but not completely, she keeps things from them, like Dean? does. It would be stupid to tell them nothing at all. THey do seem detached though dont they? I think that they let Hermion elive her life but they obviously care for her taking her on vacation and such..

I dont know, maybe she told them part of the truth. It could be, she helps them undrestand so they know they can back off at times but I think thety care

Well I would be to if I were them. They witnessed Arthur and Lucius attacking each other ehich proably freaked them out. But they proably heard things frmo Hermione that scared them, like she was attacked by a troll and yea.

Would they perhaps be more in the last book does anyone believe?

I doubt it. They dont even occur in minor moments and this just Harry ROn Hernione and possibily Ginny by themselves prtty much I would imagine hunting for horcruxes, so why would they be a big part?

Hermione loves her parents, I think they understand her as a witch. I do wish they talk bout her parents more though!

Hermione is smart. I think she told them a few things, but certainly not the whole truth! There is very little known about her parents. Though, I think she might tell the whole truth once she tells them, she's not going to school to go hunting for horcrxes

I have always thought that the could not care much about her yeah they are her parents but we never hear of them writing to her and she always leaves them at the holidays to be with Ron and Harry. If I was at Hogwarts I know I would go home at all the holidays to visit my mum I would miss her. And that is what I don't understand. We also know that they don't know everything Hermione has said before she told her parents that anyone serious about there O.W.Ls would be staying at Hogwarts.

I think that they do care about her but they don't really know what to do with her. They don't know the magical world and I think they feel that she's erally out of their control.

I don't really have many opinions on the Granger adults because all we really know is that they are dentists but I think they care about Hermione a lot.

How would you feel if your daughter was away for most of the year doing things you thought were impossible. They probably miss her alot. I would if she was my daughter.

Yeah, espicially if they knew what she went though some of the time but I don't think she ever told them about her adventures did she?

I agree. It just shows that Harry could have been WAY better off with a different family, but he needed them for protection!

I do not think Hermione would tell them about EVERYTHING, but some things (not big thing) she would tell them. I also think they are quite brave for coming to Diagon Alley with Hermione ( see COS)

Yeah, they were definitley brave. I'm not sure how I would have felt surrounded by people who could turn me into a toad if they wanted to!

I don't think they were brave they didn't know that they were hiding anywhere, I think Hermione was the brave one doing it not them for doing it

I agree Pickles....she was brave...but I like to think she brought the back and reversed the memory charm

She did though didn't she? Didn't it say she did? I can't remember, well ofcourse she did, the way she told Harry and Ron about how she delt with it told us that she really wanted to get them back... Wouldn't you? Ofoucrse they were brought back, don't amke me think other wise lol

i think her parents don't have a clue what hermy was up to at school. i think she probably told them everything was hunky-gory.(that is a real term)
