| Tour of the Hogwarts Expiernce Big Brother House The Bedroom:With only a few beds, but loads of contestants, it was hard for each member to find a bed. Instead some had to result in sleeping on the floor. There were absolutly no seperation boys and girls and therefore, the bedroom was co-ed. A red rounded button, however was pushed by an unknown housemates, which expanded the room three times as big. The remaing Housemates that were sleeping on the floor, were finally able to get themselves a bed before anyone else came in to claim one. The Living RoomA place for Big Brother member to relax and have fun. It is equipped with a big screen television,a pool table and a large bookshelf. It was also a place of party and drinking Rum. Beside the fact that there were also duels, it was still a number one place for members to come and enjoy themselves. The GardenWith gorgeous plants anf flowers, the garden was marveled at for it's beauty. The pool and hot tub only added to the scenery along with furry little critters. Some even attempted to escape the stress Big Brother was causing by climbing over the garden hedge. Although it was impossible to leave because of a special barrier Big Brother put up himself. The Dining RoomNot the most popular room in the house. After the spinning and orange slime that fell from the ceiling, many tried to avoid the room. But it's most gorgeous feature, being a beautiful glass chandiler was very enchanting that some Big Brother members were entranced by it. The KitchenDespite the fact that there had been a hole in the roof at one point, the kitchen was yet another place for small talk over meals. The best meals were made by our very own members; whether it was Lobster or a cuisine. Although, when it came to cleaning up, it was a disaster area. But, that's why we have wands. The Bathroom Where would the members be without a bathroom? It is used by both genders, but privacy is always respected. Many Big Brother members may recall the infestation of roaches it had. They were all exterminated, but rats soon took it's place. But it didn't stop Big Brother housemates from using it. The Diary RoomBig Brothers's Sancturary. A place he provided fo us to spill what was on our minds. Whether, it was a secret or a problem we had amongst the house; he was ther to listen. And answered as best he could. Some of us were even quizzed, recieving extra houspoints! | |

| “Rum, Party Buttons and the World Beyond the Wards—What Do They Have In Common?”
an inclusive essay of escape attempts, compiled by Silvers and written by Streams
Many housemates are under the mistaken assumption that ‘escape’ would mean to literally leave BB’s house. Allow me to enlighten you, my dears. Nearly every single housemate has tried, at some point, to escape. Whether the escapes were successful or disasters, whether they were subtle or blatantly obvious, I will now prove to you that most of the housemates spent a majority of their time in BB’s house escaping.
Housemates would often express a desire to have parties, even if they were feeling sad and not at all in the mood of a party. Why did they do this? So that they could escape from their feelings of despair and sadness, or just cover it up by partying.
One particular housemate always got herself drunk…if continuously getting drunk isn’t a form of escape, I don’t know what is. The minute she turned sober she would drink some more. Obviously she couldn’t handle the pain of living in BB’s house, and preferred to forget about her dire situation in the easiest way possible—by drowning it out with rum.
You may argue that perhaps this housemate was just addicted to alcohol. That is definitely true. But why was she addicted in the first place? Because she was trying to escape. I can prove this fact because the very same housemate once tried a more literal form of escape. She located an escape hatch and would’ve used it, but made the mistake of telling BB about it. Perhaps she was drunk at the time. Anyway, BB promptly got rid of the escape hatch.
I have been fortunate enough to procure this interview with a housemate who tried a more obvious attempt at escape. In this interview I shall address myself as Streams and the housemate shall go by the title of AN for anonymous housemate:
Streams: So I heard you tried to escape over the garden wall?
AN: Yes. Yeah, I just couldn’t take it anymore, and I thought maybe there would be a break in the wards…
Streams: Two housemates were with you at the time, correct?
AN: Yeah, they followed me over the wall. They didn’t realize what I was doing at first. Then my dog, Spike, leaped over the wall as well…*stares into distance, glassy-eyed*
Streams: So what happened once you were over the wall?
AN: Well, my dog found a break in the wards, and he got through. Then I tried getting through…*shakes head sadly*
Streams: Well, what happened, then? Why are you still here?
AN: BB was just as smart as I thought he was. I got stuck in the ward.
Streams: Merlin…
AN: Yeah…after a while a housemate freed me. But then BB was angry and sent crocodiles and vultures after us.
Streams: Wow…how’d you get out of THAT one?!
AN: It wasn’t easy, I assure you. To make a long story short, I ran for the house and just made it before the vultures tore me apart. But I’m not gonna try such an obvious attempt at escape again. I’m resigned to my fate, whatever it will be.
The housemates may not try such a blatant attempt again, but last I heard the more subtle escape attempts are still occurring. One can only hope that none of the housemates will commit suicide as a final escape attempt…that would be quite horrible indeed.

| EIGHT FAILS IN A ROW… Every week, in the Big Brother House, there are one or two challenges posed to the housemates to complete. If the conditions of each of these challenges are met, then the challenge is won, and more points are added to the housemates’ pot and to the housemates who did the challenge. These challenges are not hard, yet many have been failed. The first eight challenges were, frankly, complete and utter disasters. One of the main reasons why very few people attempted these challenges was because of the rarity of active housemates at the beginning of this event. Another reason was the huge number of housemates there were. Maybe there were too many, but towards the end, we started to see a lift in the challenge do-ers…There could be hope for us yet… These are the first eight challenges and how many people did not do them…
- Challenge 1, not done by 11 people.
- Room Design, not done by 10 people.
- Banner Challenge, not done by 13 people.
- House News Update, not done by 17 people.
- Housemate Doll, not done by 17 people.
- ArtPad, not done by 8 people.
- Luxury Items, not done by 6 people.
- Alphabetical Housemates, not done by 13 people, although these were all people at the end of the alphabet who did not have time to complete the challenge…

| “The Eminent House of Big Brother: A Personal Report” by streams of silver Well. I hardly know where to begin. My experience in BB’s house has been a long and emotional roller coaster ride. When I first arrived, I was scared to death (no pun intended—I am dead serious!) that I would be poisoned by a housemate who was really a spy masquerading as a housemate. I made sure to test all the food on my plate for poison, and continue to do so before I eat anything, even if it is under lock and charm in my personal trunk. I well remember the day when two housemates, who shall remain unnamed in this article, pretended to poison some food they made in the kitchen. I did the usual detection spells, and when I couldn’t find a trace of anything unusual, I took a small bite. I then had to run for a glass of water, because the dish was heavily spiced. It ended up being pretty good, however, as long as I had a drink nearby. I made some escape plans with one housemate, and nearly escaped with a couple more housemates and a dog, but more details of that horrendous escapade can be found in an interview I submitted to another article in this very magazine. More recently, I lost my bed in the luxury challenge, and was the first to think of sleeping on the floor in a sleeping bag. It is quite comfy actually, and I enjoy snuggling up inside with a book and my dogs. As time went on I grew less suspicious, but rather disconsolate about my situation, at times exploding at housemates in a way to get rid of all the emotion stuck inside me, and at times just bursting into tears. A particular housemate was very nice to me once, when I couldn’t contain my tears. I will never forget how she tried to comfort me. Though I wasn’t very receptive to her sympathy, it still was nice of her to try and help me. Just when I had given up on the notion that BB would plant a spy in our midst, he proceeded to do just that. Talk about reverse psychology. But the spy was far less subtle than she should have been, and I realized at once that there was something fishy about her; therefore I didn’t treat her with the same contempt at her rude behaviour as everyone else did. However, I guessed wrongly about who she actually was, and ended up writing a long speech praising BB in order not to lose any points…. I finally started meditation in order to control my emotions. I recall a housemate thinking I was insane when I sat cross-legged on the icy pool to clear my thoughts and to relax. Then I turned into a superhero. My brief stint as a powerful superhero had its ups and downs. I loved shooting those arrows that always landed on their targets, and no longer needed to meditate to release my desperation and anger. Several duels and fights broke out among us superheroes, and they were excellent for taking my mind off the E word. One superhero in particular liked to annoy me, and that has continued now even after our superpowers have abandoned us. This particular housemate, who shall remain unnamed even though I would dearly like to mock him in a public article, seizes any chance he might have to torment me. This is distressing at times but now the arguing is keeping my mind off the E word and my tremulous future. Recently I got my revenge on him though, when I insulted his personal habits and he took me seriously. I actually had no idea that he had never visited the bathroom, but the next time I entered, he was in a private bath, mumbling to himself. I will always remember with a smile how he took a bath at my whim. So what can I say? Life here is rocky and uncertain, but isn’t it that way everywhere? At least here the end is defined by the E word. And thank Merlin I have my darling boys with me. | |

| Inside the mind of Aurelia Sapphire
Jenn walked into the BB Living Room and grimaced at the thought of having to interview Aurelia. She let out a deep sigh and looked around.
“She’s late…how not surprising.” Jenn muttered to herself.
“If you want my cooperation you shouldn't talk about me under your breath.” Aurelia commented with a distain look at Jenn as she sat down on a chair in the corner. “Get me a drink, soda would do. No ice though, magically cold.”
Jenn ignored her comment and sat down a few feet away from her. Pulling out her notepad, she immediately started asking her interview questions to get it over with as soon as possible.
“So Aurelia, how did you find the experience in BB house?” Jenn asked with her quill posed on her notepad, prepared to write as quickly as she could.
”Dreadful, everyone was so mean to me. Why are you asking me these questions anyway?” Aurelia asked with a glare, mad that she was obviously not going to get her drink.
“Because usually when people get interviewed…they get asked questions.” Jenn said sarcastically. “Now did you feel differently before you joined BB and after you joined?”
Aurelia snorted before replying. “I decided I didn’t like the housemates after I had joined. Before BB, I had been looking forward to it.”
“What was your favorite part?”
”Showing off my double animagus skills. I love showing them off.” Aurelia said with a rare smile.
“Not surprising…” Jenn muttered under her breath. She cleared her throat loudly and continued. “Who was your favorite member, I know you didn't have any but you MUST choose?
”I hated everyone. Although if I had to pick it would be Snape – at least he said hello to me.” Aurelia said as she looked pointly at Jenn was Jenn as one of the many that never said hello to her.
Jenn ignored her again and looked down as Raist advised her to do during this interview as she should never look at evil directly in the eye. :D “If you could say anything you want to the remaining BB members what would it be?”
”Give me back my bed!” Aurelia yelled as she jumped up in anger.
“You DO know that it wasn’t your-“ Jenn stopped shouting and shook her head. “Let’s get to know you a little bit…erm…What's your favorite color/food?”
Aurelia looked at Jenn as though she was crazy. “My favourite color is pink, obviously. And I like pasta, though why you want to know that I don’t know.”
“Excuse me for trying to make conversation.” Jenn snapped. “Tell me a little bit about your family.”
“No.”
Jenn let out a sigh. “Cause devils don’t have family.” She said with a cough. “Last question. Who do you think will win? And no you cannot say you will sneak back into the house and win.”
”Streams of Silver. She has a cool name.” Aurelia said hauntily as she admired her bright pink nails.
Jenn smiled as she was looking forward to the next part of the interview. “That’s all the questions I have for you thanks!” She said brightly. Standing up, Jenn walked over to Aurelia and grabbed her shiny hair. Using all her strength, she started puling with all her might.
“What are you doing?” Aurelia yelled as she struggled to get loose and started kicking Jenn.
“You’ll see…” Jenn panted with the effort and kept pulling. Suddenly with a loud pop Aurelia’s head came off! “Why hello Amy.”
Amy rubbed her head and smiled. “You could have just asked me to take off my Aurelia costume you know.”
Jenn shrugged. “I thought my way would be more fun. Now let’s get inside the mind of Aurelia shall we? Literally. So Amy, whose idea was it to place a mole into the house and how did the plan come about? Was it because we were too boring you had to create drama?”
Amy tapped her chin as she thought for a moment. ”I can’t actually remember now if it was mine or Elfie’s idea to have the mole. But it was one of us – and we registered the account well in advance so it wouldn’t look too suspicious.”
”What made you decide to BE Aurelia's character? Mean..rude etc.”
”The whole point of the mole in the house was to try and stir things up a bit. To be honest, I sort of made her character up as I went along, and had her react against the housemates.”
Jenn winked. “And I think I can say for everyone that you played the hated housemate character VERY well. So how did you find the experience?”
”It was so much fun! Especially when I had her stealing people’s beds and becoming a double animagus, then talking to Rai on MSN and having to pretend I was outraged at her behaviour – that was fun” Amy said with a wide grin.
”Was there anything you wish you could have done differently?”
”Not really…I liked the way the Aurelia saga played out.” Amy said with a shake of her head.
Jenn winked and leaned closer to Amy. “Who do YOU think will win? Off the record of course” ”I couldn’t possibly say But of course, I wouldn’t object if a Gryffindor won!” Amy said with a wink back.
“I think I’ll strike that from the record and say you wanted Hufflepuff to win.” Jenn joked.

| HEBB: An Inside Look by Brunette
Okay. Now, when I signed up for Big Brother, I didn't expect to get this far. I just did what I had to do, post a little bit in everywhere and could only pray I would win this. As I look back, I feel that this was a wonderful expiernce! For me, that is. You see, when I first signed up I was a newbie and I really didn't know many of the members in the house. I guess you could say I was a little bit intimidated about conversating with everyone. So, I was a little shy, just keeping to myself. I met a few friends then as Big Brother members slowly thinned, I became a little more confident!
I was causing havoc, trying to sneak out, joining in the parties we had in The Living Room. It was all very fun! Yet, the only thing that kept me on my feet were the evictions. Once a week someone was evicted and I would hope it was not me. I swear luck must've been on my side because as the evictions got to doubles and the triples and then quadruple, I was never once nominated. It made me apprieciate Big Brother even more. So, I worked twice as hard on the challenges and pushing others in Ravenclaw to do the same.
Now, as I sit here writing this. I couldn't be more grateful! I'm in the top eleven! I'm still very nervous because now everyday someone gets eliminated. I know that I could be the one evitced in a second. The pot of housepoints is huge and everyone hopes for that First, Second or Third place postition for a piece of it. Even, if I do not win this even, I'll be happy that I was still around for the final rounds. I met people, got more active, become more confident. This event worked wonders for me and I had alot of fun pariticipating. It's a shame that it's drawing to a close, but all great things must end at some point.
As a final word: Go Ravenclaw! I hope we win this for our house!!

| All about Me...Jenn
Wow, final 10 and I’m still in the Big Brother house. I must say how surprised but grateful I am that this I’m still here. Twice every week my stomach would clench whenever I checked the Eviction nominations to see if my name was on there. And the two times it was, I would be nervous until the next day when I find out I’m safe.
I must say my journey at the BB house was quite interesting. I entered the BB house fully expecting it to be the Real World. To my dismay, I found out it was not. Yet found some popcorn on the table and decided to stay. Little did I know I would not be allowed to leave until evicted! Then I chose my bed in the bedroom which was the corner bed by the largest closet I might add. I figured I would have plenty of room for my clothes. Which later became stolen by Seamus, my closet not my clothes. Yet I suppose since we’re engaged now…he should be allowed to sleep in my closet. :D (*hugs and pets her TWO leprechauns Padfoot and Charms*) Then I’ll admit I was the one who pretended to poison poor Streams. It was hilarious to watch her reaction though. *sigh* our games of Truth or Dare. Certain invisible locked cages…
Then we went through many challenges and arguments. I’ll admit I left to get some peace and quiet many times and would disappear for days at a time. I came back for certain time when a Aurelia joined the house. I tried to extend an olive branch to the newcomer yet it was unfortunately snapped in two!
But overall I had a blast in the house and grew closer to many people. It was full of heartache, excitement, and fun! Those of you who didn’t sign up…you don’t know what you missed! lol

In the Big Brother House the contestants dedication to the house was put to the test in the form of weekly challenges. It was a chance to earn house points and a chance for the members to prove how dedicated to the competition they really were. In fact many eviction votes where a deciding factor in voting.
Challenge 8: Alphabetical Housemates
The Alphabetical Housemates was quite possibly the most difficult challenge of them all. All members had to post in username alphabetical order. To organize this challenge several patient house members compiled lists in Alphabetical order and sent reminder messages to other members.
