If the task is a fail (4 or more members do not post their challenge) then 200 housepoints will be lost from the base housepoints

Each housemate that participates will also be awarded 50 housepoints each

You will need to write a short article (as though for a newspaper or magazine), reporting on an incident/s that has happened in the Big Brother House. Make sure that it is in the style of a magazine or newspaper, and is at least 200-300 words long.

BB’s house is one of the safest in the country. Everyone knows it is impossible to break in. But can we all sleep peacefully in our beds? I’m sorry to break the news to you mates, but the answer is NO.

There is in fact a large gap in security that BB has done nothing to fix. The greatest danger in BB’s house is hidden within, between the housemates themselves.

That’s right, mates. Don’t bother to lock your doors and windows. BB has taken care of such trivial security measures. But let me enlighten you about how dangerous many of the individuals at BB’s house really are.

Have you ever heard of ‘Jenn’? She parades around like a normal housemate, but admitted to locking an innocent individual (Seamus) in a closet for an extended period of time. What did she have to say for herself? "Opps, I was cooking and completely forgot about Seamus." Whether Seamus suffered permanent damage from being locked away for so long remains to be seen.

Then there is a ‘Caree.’ This reporter was a witness when Caree burned books to start a fire, which she then used to toast marshmallows. Is this sane behavior? I think you will agree with me when I say it isn’t.

A ‘streams’ was allowed to become completely inebriated, a ‘Jesse’ was allowed to use excessively powerful spells to kill some cockroaches, a ‘lifey’ admitted that she found the idea of locking boys in cages amusing, a ‘Snape’ caused a sudden thundershower in the garden for no good reason and a ‘Ginny’ was allowed to play earsplitting music.

All in all, mates, you would have to be mad to want to enter that house. And I am exceedingly grateful that the inhabitants cannot break out.

New Hottest Trend!

That’s right you've heard it first here at H.E. magazine. This reporter has caught up with the newest trend that started right here in our very own H.E. Big Brother Household! What is the new trend sweeping sites across the web? Well we've got the answer! The new "in" thing this season is hit lists.

Recently I caught up with Fated4Hp who just got into this newest trend. He had this to say, "Hit lists! Of coarse I'm at the top of everyone’s! I mean come on I'm the devilishly handsome death eater! Everyone is scared of me! Including you! Hahaha!"

After that I took the time to catch up with a also person into the newest trend, Elana. "Well actually I just started mine last night so I still have to work out some kinks in it. Actually I typed it in Word!" she told me.

"Why would you do that? Why not just get up and get a piece of paper?" I asked her.

"Well because the paper was too far away," She replied. Then headed back to working on her hit list.

New Romances in the Big Brother Home

Good morning/afternoon/evening my wonderful readers! Welcome to this week’s latest gossip, told by none other than me, Elana! Well, there have been several new romances that have blossomed within the walls of the Big Brother home, including one between the H.E.’s official owl, Caree (Caroru), and a new student and wonderful addition to Ravenclaw house and our amazing Quidditch team, Jimmy (Castledown). Jimmy, now a member for only 13 days, had been asked by Prinny (littleprincess_01) to marry her the day he joined, I believe. He agreed, but that engagement was short lived, for she discovered his obsession of Quidditch. Well, it must have been for the best because now he and Caree are happily married. Though it does not seem that way from the outside, their continual whompings and whackings are signs of endearment.

Even more exciting news! MarieC, the H.E.’s lovable matriarch, has been married to none other than Raistlain the Wizard! Little did we all know of the pair’s secret admirations of the other, but they had a wonderfully quaint wedding on the morning of Wednesday, November 08, 2006.

Also, my informants tell me that there has been another pair of lovebirds seen in many threads around the site and especially in the BB home. Seems like belonging to separate Hogwarts houses don’t matter in love, these are another Ravenclaw and Gryffindor pair, just like Car and Jimmy, and since they’re on opposing Quidditch teams, that makes the games between the houses a wee bit more difficult. They are described as being ‘sickeningly sweet at times.’ Wait…this looking too familiar. Oh, they’re talking about me and Drake!

(omg Amby *cracks up laughing* The sad and funny thing is.....I actually said that. Well, it's done now and was easier to do in Word XD)

As we all know, Challenge 2 was a room designing task. It more or less tested our nerves. Well, did anyone design an escaped window in any of the rooms? No? That's right, no escape window! This only makes people that are worried for the safety of us, people like me, think why this happened. Did everyone think that the house is safe? What if there would be a big fire and no escape window, and Big Brother would be asleep? Here's what I got out from the Big Brother when I told him that I had designed one in the diary room:

Caroru, Big Brother already found the escape window. Big Brother would like to remind you that the house is surrounded by strong wards to keep people in and out. It would amuse Big Brother if someone tried to escape. Big Brother likes to have a laugh whilst watching the escapee grow three heads!

Doesn't this sound like Big Brother would think it's amusing to see us try to escape? Not to worry, as an excellent detective, I asked about it!

Caroru: So, is BB saying that it's amusing to see if one of us tried to escape?
Big Brother: Trying to escape is frowned upon, Caroru.

So now one can only ask, what is Big Brother's plans for us? He could easily put out a fire and laugh evilly as we burn to death... lovely! Just remember, when we're burning down, take some marshmellows with you!

This is all I have to offer of the mystery of the escape window, that will remain as a mystery! Have a nice day.

It seems very odd but it is also true, lately people have been catching the house's furniture on fire to "keep warm." Is this really the reason why everything is going up in flames or is it a conspiracy? It is a likely possibility that these people who are setting things on fire are hoping to "accidentally" burn the house down. People need to be notified about something like this it is important that they know there is things on fire before it gets too out of hand. People could fall into the fire on mistake then they could burn to death. This is a problem that needs to be confronted. I know for a fact that a chair has been set on fire in the kitchen and in the bedroom there was a blazing fire made from magazines and newspapers in the middle of the room until Delta thoughtfully put it out. However people glared at her when she did supposing that they wanted the fire to remain.Why would this be, do they want the house to burndown? Even if it was a little cold this is no reason for fire, people could use heating spells and and if, by chance it happened to be a mistake that the fire came about, it should have been pout out immediately and not left there. this problem needs to be broadcasted so that nobody is hurt in the fire.It would be a terrible fate to be klled just because someone else was being careless.

Magic Mayhem in the BB house

Since the start of the exciting new series of HEBB, the housemates have had just over a week to get to know each other. the strong personalities of the housemates have already caused some tension within the house. This tension has already started to cause problems, with two of the housemates already having transfigured each other into various animals, and several duels having to be forcibly prevented by Big brother.
These events have led to a debate over the issue - should wands be allowed within the HEBB house? They seem to undermine the rules of the house, as housemates are able to contact the outside world and summon magazines and newspapers to tell them about events outside the HEBB house.
After serious consideration, BB has decided that all housemates will be deprived of their wands until their eviction from the HEBB house. this has caused some annoyance within the house, but BB has ruled that it will be safer for the housemates if there is no chance that underhand housemates will attack their rivals with magic. It will also add to the challenge for the housemates to live like muggles for their time within the house.
Wands may be returned to certain housemates for good behaviour and if they are required for future challenges.

Your reporter can now bring you (nearly) exclusive news of the first real fight in the HEBB house, and I dont mean a pillow fight! (Pillow lover chick is not a housemate!)

On Friday 10th Novermber, the HEBB bedroom cameras witnessed a physical rum bottle fight between two housemates, raistlin the wizard of slytherin and mariec of hufflepuff. Two predominant housemates of opposing hogwarts houses battling to gain that number one spot?

The fight left Dancing sunset of hufflepuff cowering under the bed as curses began to fly around the room, yet she still had time to take a few bets on the winner.

Unfortunatly, (or fortunatly), this reporter witnessed the intervention of another slytherin, none other than the head of slytherin house, severus snape, pulling a garden hose full of water over the troubled pair. Many were left wondering why he didnt use his wand, yet it seemed to do the trick as shortly after mariec left the bedroom

But did this stop the fight?

This reporter can reveal that some time later a petrified frozen mariec was found in the garden. witnesses were said to whisper the name severus snape as the culprit.

Could this be the start of the war of the houses?

LOOSE EMOTIONS and TEMPERED DUELS

It seems people here in HEBB are not as they seem. Rule breaking, drinking activities and even saying mean things to another participant of the HE Big Brother household. Now, we all understand that this is a competition, but let's not get too caught up into the game where it goes out of control.

Recently, there have been many people who have found themselves crying over the acts of another member. Whether it be over having a pet in the household, which we all know is banned or having an argument.

Some even just feel left out of the group. I think many of us are taking this competing way too far. We should all just relax and fun, It'll take a load of pressure of emotions running through.

There are also many arguments running high in the HEBB house. Some have even led to duels- one being between MarieC and Railisitn The Wizard. This isn't appropriate. What have led the HEBB members to act on their emotions rather than sitting down and talking it out?

Dog Lovers and Cat Lovers Clash in HEBB??

Last weekend it was a calm, peacefull evening in the Living Room of the H.E. Big Brother house. Housemate Life is 42 among other housemembers was calmly enjoying the fireside warmth and the softness of her dog's fir when one Dancingsunset came bursting in, followed by one of the sweet lovable dogs of streams. The girl Dancing seemed utterly put off and offended by the dog, saying she preferred cats. Life immeadiatly jumped to the dog’s defense and called for a truce between cat and dog lovers, despite being allergic to cats. Now all are living peacefully once more and Dancing has even agreed to provide kittens from her cat’s litter. Lifey would dearly love one!! Hopefully this brief disagreement will not spread throughout the house of Big Brother and Hopefully all of the animals in the HEBB house will continue to live in harmony. This does raise the question of “should pets be allowed in the HEBB house?” Only time will answer, and hopefully favorably. Now Lifey shall continue to ramble aimlessly for thirty four words because she is unable to write two hundred words on this incident. She really does admire the fact that everyone has been very nice and has been keeping their socks picked up and clean. Dirty socks do bug her a lot.

BB House Second Eviction

Yesterday was the day of the second eviction from the BB house. This was an emotional time for all the nominees who included

The final eviction saw us with the following people leave the house:

romance_lover with 24% of the total votes and also M@d H@tter with 18% of the total votes.

Many people were distraught by the fact that jess (romance_lover) had to leave the house, so much so that Moony has decided to protest. She is currently in the process of making signs.

As I was unable to interview jess I chose to interview jimmy, (Castledown), who was somewhat shaken by jess’ eviction.

1. How did you feel about jess’ eviction?
As a loving son, I should probably fight her corner *cough* Errrm, I was surprised to be honest, I would have thought that people would have voted off the dead weight first. You know, the ones who haven't done any assignments or even posted in the House. Yeah, very surprised.

2. You don't have to answer this question, but who did you nominate and vote for eviction?
I nominated and voted for the inactives, as I said. I was gonna nominate Caree...but...you know. She'd hurt me.

3. What is your game plan? Do you have one?
I'm using an intricate system of levers and pulleys to make my puppets dance. There might be some blackmail and extortion in there...and base, base alcoholism, but we don't speak about that.


4. Would you like to say anything else?
Soylent Green is people!

As you can see jess’ eviction was very shocking and quite unexpected but we do hope that jess will have fun watching us nutcases inside the house. =D

we have heard from the powerful Big Brother that the first time in HEBB history there had been an early eviction of someone who has done all the challenges. I as the reporter i am would like to interview the amazing girl who has done it all but still got the boot. Seeing the fact i am still in the game and our wonderful boss has prohibited me from talking to anyone outside the house settled for second best and decided to search the house for a person who would give comment. After many hours of having stuff thrown at me (apparently people don’t like a microphone in their face while either sleeping, eating, bathroom, ) But i did find someone who was just sitting around and watching charmed this brunette let this dirty blond reporter interview her under certain rules. (no talking while charmed was on or no spitting on her i had trouble completing the last part) And this is what amberg93 aka Amby

Q: "So do you think this was a part of the game or a major unfairness and cruel act?"
A:” well um it is obviously part of the game that people get evicted but in this case I think it was unfair"

Q: “ with this happening this early in the game how high do you think tensions are going to go?”
A: “ while obviously since someone has been evicted that has done everything the game itself is going to change including the people so of course the tension is going to be high”

Q: “ Are nervous you may be next to get the boot?”
A: “ Of course I am didn’t you see me freak out in the garden, bedroom, god get a life and I’m on you!”

Today we will look at the reactions after romance lover, aka jess, got evicted from the house. Housemates and veiwers are all asking the same thing. How did this happen?

It seems true that Jess only got put up for nomination vote due to not sending in her nominations, so why oh why was se one of the ones voted out of the house?

This reporter can only think that it was due to fear, yes thats right readers, fear of the strength of the housemate. A slytherin, cunning, yes, but did she deserve to go?

It has been seen that a housemate is already starting a protest to bring her back in, but will big brother listen?

This reporter will bring you more news as it comes in

Contestant Runs Riot


Normally mild mannered Marie C has sparked outrage in the HE Big Brother house with her recent behaviour. Your fearless reporter has finally agreed to speak out on the truth behind the mask which is Marie.

“It’s not easy you know,” complained one Big Brother contestant who wished to withhold their name, hi Swifty! “We have to pretend that Marie is like, really quite and shy but since she came into the house her true colours have showed. She is and always has been a major pain in the butt.”

At this point Swifty was dragged away screaming for forgiveness by Marie who is looking rather murderous. As I have just explained to the once kind hearted and friendly Marie, it is only my job to bring the truth to you all.

Many house mates have been found crying their eyeballs out over the actions and stroppy behaviour of their fellow house mate but refused to comment. The final straw came for Big Brother personally when Marie kicked the Diary Room door in …. Wait news just in …. That was me.

U, this is, was, your fearless reporter, reporting live from HEBB when Marie is running riot!!! RUN FOR YOUR LIVES!

EVICTION SHOCK
As another day dawns the housemates all began to wake up. One by one they craw out of bed and into the living area sitting with there duvets huddled around them. Although nearly all off the housemates are wake the living room is deadly quite because the housemates are trying to get to grips with the fact that they have lost two of there housemates romance lover and M@d H@tter. It is deadly quite without them two and the rest of house is tying to get to grips with the fact that they are gone. In an interview romance lover showed how hurt she was by the fact that her housemates had voted her out and it was unfair that she was not even nominate but she was still evicted by her follow housemates. M@d H@tter has yet given an interview about her experiences maybe she is very upset about being evicted. Well this weeks nomination show that the votes and go anyway. With the next weeks nominations just days away who will go this week?? Will it be a more quite housemate or loud housemates?? None knows until that days comes we will just have to wait and see………

House of Fights
Is has been one exciting week in the HEBB house. Tension’s rising and the first strategies reached surfaced. Apparently people are mostly interested in targeting people that can be very strong opponents instead of the weak inactive ones. Everyone wants to win no matter what.

A conversation of “hit lists” rose in the chat room. Amberg was the starter of these hit lists but people seemed to like the idea and followed the trend. Ginny’s apparently the no 1 target for almost everyone. She’s considered one big adversary and that way become a target to be wiped out. After all nobody had forgot her awesome victory in last year duel tournament.

We also watched an attempt of escaping from the house by Dancingsunset. Thought she was discovered by the brave contestant Raistlin The Wizard who tried to warn Big Brother and for that saw himself involved in fight with Dancingsunset. He was later saved by the woman of headaches MarieC.

Curiously after being saved by MarieC the two started a bloody fight in the Bedroom. From tinkling to biting it was an ugly scene. Bets were made but the conflict remained a tie.

So hit lists, targets, fights, there’s a lot of tension going on in the house and it’s only the beginning. We can only expect for messier events later in the game where people true colors will be painted. Will we assist an expulsion? Only the future can tell. Stay tuned and keep reading our newspaper.

Conspiracy at the Big Brother Household!

It has been a rollercoaster ride of emotions, words and actions at the HEBB house for the last few weeks. Now, of course, the second evictions are upon us, with romance lover and M@DH@TTER being evicted, under somewhat dubious circumstances. Is the Headmistresss, Elfie Dumbledore, leaning on BB to eliminate choice competitors who threaten her hold over the Grangullean Dynasty? (for further details, see our inlaid pamphlet “Know When You’re Being Lied To”) The Quibbler thinks this is possible.

And of course, with the eviction of Jess, we’ve opened a new dimension of voting in the House. The tactical vote. Will Housemates now be voting off those they see as a threat rather than those who would be easy prey later? With the amount of Tattermedallions floating around the area (known, in many circles, to cause feelings of resentment and sow discord in family situation), we think maybe. Either way, this promises to be a fun and interesting few weeks ahead of us at HEBB. We will be following the news anxiously, assuming, of course, that the seventh Goblin revolt does not spread to the immediate area. The Ministry Goblin Extermination squads, led by Mnstr. Rufus Scrimgeour himself, are working overtime to (illegally) subdue them. We at The Quibbler can only shake our heads in dismay.

Is it Big Brother or Sound of Music?

The hills, or should I say the house, has been overwhelmed by song and dance, from bedroom battle of the bands to dining room dance off. Is this happy thoughts with a sprinkle of tinkerbell dust, or is it as simple as a spell?

The question then lies, who is it who would create a spell to bring the housemates to a song and dance finalle? Is it one of the housemates? Or is it Big Brother?

"You are the sun,
You are the only one,
My heart is blue,
My heart is blue for you"

This reporter will get to the bottom of this, if she stays imune from the all singing all dancing spell long enough.

Yes readers, that is the biggest question in the HEBB household today! Where has the rum gone?

After a rum bottle fight not more than a few days ago, Big Brother asked for all alcohol bottles to be brought to him, (to drink we are left wondering?). This has sparked outrage between some of the housemates, one even refusing to hand back their bottle claiming it to be a present from Captain Jack Sparrow.

The question is, will it ever come back into the house or will alcohol be a rare thing inside the house?

Book of Life

It was recently reported that a quiet Slytherin named Delta has been found around the HEBB house reading a book entitled How to Survive Big Brother. She was first noticed by Ginny and Brunette who were currently setting up a fire. She advised them against the fire and put it out, sparking an outrage that culminated in Ginny, Brunette, and Delta seeking other pastimes.

When this snobbish and cunning Slytherin was asked about the book in her possession, she smirked, a wide grin on her face, and replied haughtily, saying that one should just buy their own copy if they want to know. Upon further investigation, our news team learned that not only was Delta reading this montrously huge book in the middle of a fun house, but had written it herself! Imagine the nerve of her, trying to sell her own book to us poor columnists! This only serves to solidify yours truly's deragoratory opinion of Slytherins.

For what we have seen so far throughout this compeition, Slytherins have lived up to their name. Hopefully, none of them are as vain as this Delta that yours truly has just encountered.

If you look at our average for challenge completion, the answer is no. Out of three challenges, we’ve failed…three. In this house member’s opinion, something needs to be done. But what? I asked this question during a chatroom interview, and Gryffindor Amberg93 suggested the following:

“PM all the members and remind them” Would that be enough? Jennifer_Williams, a Hufflepuff, said that more drastic measures should be taken. She said that,

“(Give them) threats to let Jesse say his speeches all day in every room, oh, and lock the door to the bathroom so that nobody can use it.” A slightly more…terrifying idea, but perhaps it would be more effective. So, perhaps we should start out my PMing them and flooding their inbox, and if that still doesn’t work…well then give Jesse and intercom and let him speech about the joys of the ship Dramione until the cows come home. And when the cows do come home, we’ll make them sit down and listen to him too. Think of the cows people! Do the challenges!!

Finally, as I feel I’m getting slightly off track, my advice to all of you slackers in the BB house, is to “Buck up your ideas and buck them up fast!” (Thank you Miss Wilson :D), because you are costing us house points. And if you won’t think of the entire BB group, think of this-most of us who put in nominations for voting like to put in the names of people who don’t do challenges.

Only a couple of days since the opening of the Big Brother house, and already so many things have happened.

First of all, 4 members of the house already left: Caribbean Princess, purelyhermionegranger, M@d H@tter and Romance lover were evicted from Big Brother, the latter causing quite a surprise among a couple of members. The rest of the house is currently nervously waiting for the 3rd eviction which should take place soon.

In the most important event of the house can be counted in, apart from the evictions, naturally, the kitchen of the house being put on fire. Also, a few members of the house were known to have gotten drunk and an invasion of croatches made a couple of girls scream and run for their lifes.

Of course, a house full of so many different people could not be without fights. The rather snobby member MarieC has been known to make a couple of ennemies while Streams of Silver annoys a few with her paranoia and dogs. An unsuccessful attempt of escaping the house was discovered and later on reported to Big Brother, who was known to said that it didn't really matter if people tried to escape and that he was only looking forward to see people with three heads. To this I say: be careful with what your wish for.
