A look a Death eaters: Bellatrix Lestrange

A true example of a Death Eater’s whose loyalty has never wavered is Bellatrix Black Lestrange. Bellatrix was born 1951 by the parents of Cygnus and Druella Black. She is the eldest of three daughters. Her younger sisters are Narcissa (who made a worthy match by marrying Lucius Malfoy) and Andromeda (who was later disowned in the family by marryng a Mudblood named Ted Tonks). Her pureblood family is one that values power and pureness of a wizard’s blood. The name Bellatrix is Latin for “female warrior”. She was a proud looking tall woman with dark heavily lidded eyes.

In 1962, Bellatrix Black entered Hogwarts and was sorted into the honorable Slytherin house. There she was with her own people and later grew up to join Voldemort’s Death Eaters. In 1970’s she married Rodolphus Lestrange, another pureblood Death Eater, and lived to honor Voldemort and his cause. After Voldemort’s fall, she sought to restore her master of his powers once more. Joining forces with her husband Rodolphus, his brother Rabastan Lestrange, and Barty Crouch Jr, they kidnapped and tortured Alice and Frank Longbottom with the Cruciatus Curse. Hoping to gain information about their master, they used to curse until the Longbottoms minds were completely broken and driven insane. They were then captured by the Ministry of Magic and sentenced to a lifetime in Azkaban for using one of the Unforgivable Curses on a living being. As she was dragged away, Bellatrix insisted that her master will regain power once more. “The Dark Lord will rise again, Crouch! Throw us into Azkaban; we will wait! He will rise again and will come for us, he will reward us beyond any of his other supporters! We alone were faithful! We alone tried to find him!"

Her loyalty was rewarded when Voldemort came back to power and announced that the Lestranges were the most loyal of his Death Eaters and would be richly rewarded. She was then rescued by the Lord Voldemort and resumed her torturing ways. Her last appearance was at the Ministry of Magic where she fought and killed Sirius Black, her own cousin.
