A Look at Death Eater: Lucius Malfoy

History of Lucius Malfoy
One of the highest prestigious Death Eaters is Lucius Malfoy. In 1954, Lucius Malfoy was born into one of the most wealthy and prestige wizarding families. Lucius was the only child of Abraxas Malfoy. The Mafoy family resided in the Malfoy manor by Wiltshire in southeast of England . Entering Hogwarts in the year of 1965, Lucius Malfoy was sorted into the noble house of Slythern. There he met many people who would soon influence his life, such as Severus Snape, Goyle, Barty Crouch Jr, and his wife Narcissa Black. After graduating from Hogwarts, he and several others became Voldemort’s strongest supporters and called themselves Death Eaters.

Being among the most powerful Death Eaters in Voldemort’s circle, Lucius lead many riots on terrorizing various Muggles and Mudbloods. However, after Voldemort disappeared on October 31, many Death Eaters deserted the dark ways and claimed to be under the Imperious Curse, including Lucius Malfoy. He then tried to bribe his way into the goodwill of others by donating to various charities such as St. Mungo’s and being on several boards as well as being on the school governors of Hogwarts. His title was later stripped for blackmailing many members to vote in his favor of having Dumbledore removed at Hogwarts. Although it he seemed to have no job, his family wealth was enough to keep his family, Narcissa and Draco his son, in a comfortable lifestyle. Lucius also used his money to gain powerful ties in with influential people.

When Voldemort’s power rose once more on June 24th 1995, Lucius Malfoy came running back to his side. There he remained a spy for the Dark Lord as he used his many influences in the Ministry of Magic, especially on Cornelius Fudge. However, one night the raid that he lead into the Ministry of Magic to obtain the prophecy backfired and he was captured and sent to Azkaban.

Other known facts about Lucius Malfoy is that he is a very tall regal looking man with pale blond hair, sharp pointy face, and cold gray eyes. He owned a house elf named Dobby until he was tricked into freeing him one day. The family pet was an eagle owl named Pure.
