Enid Blyton Books

Ahh, thinking of Enid Blyton's books takes me back to my childhood. When I was younger, I would mainly read Enid Blyton's, over and over and over again.

The Famous Five was my favourite series, I had every book (still do :D), and read them so many times. I also loved the Mallory Towers books, The Secret Seven, The Five Find Outers, The ____ of Adventure books, The St Claire's books, The Enchanted Forest, The Wishing Chair...

And there are more, I'm sure. But yeah, if you'd asked me when I was 7-11 who my favourite author was, I would have said Enid Blyton.

Did anyone else like her books?

Oh I love them...in fact, Enid Blyton, JKR and Namcy Drew Books are actually the only ones in my mini library...

They were the books that actually got me interested in reading, I remember the day clearly. It was The Magical Faraway Tree (magic calls to me, beckons me...mwahahaha)

I was in my friends house who liked reading (he was 5, I was 8) and he had Enid Byton books. We were staying overnight, he wanted to play with power rangers, there was nothing else to do but flick through a book....

I WAS HOOKED LINE AND SINKER!!!!!!!! Phew!

OK, after talking about Enid Blyton books yesterday, I went and found my box of Blyton books (not that hard to locate actually, still in my room), and found all my Malory Towers books...and yep, I read one :D

The first is only 150 pages so I read it in about an hour - a lot shorter than I remember! It's so funny to read, because I can actually remember reading it when I was younger. The story is pretty much as I remember, and it's fun going back and re-reading my favourite childhood books.
