Day 161: What does 'hallows' mean?

...for some reason, i'm gonna say Halloween xD Because... i dunno. Maybe someone dies on Halloween xD Anyway, i have no idea, because... i just don't lmao.

'Hallow' means saint, right? And Draco called Harry 'Saint Potter' a few times, right? And... um... I DON'T KNOW, don't look at me like... like... that! >.<

as much as i want to say Godric's Hollow i think it might be Halloween

idk maybe it has to do with both who knows except for J.K, her, editer, her...ect. lol

I'm more swayed by the argument that hallows refers to the Horcruxes. There was the theory of the hallows relating to Arthurian legend, of which there was a sword, a chalice and some other things I can't remember :D

I said something else. I listen to mugglecast and pottercast, and they seem to think that hallows refers to gallows as in hangman, the thing the guy hangs from. There are many refrences to hangman including the game we played to find out the title.

Hallows and gallows are completely different though... I can't see how that's related at all. How will gallows come into play? That doesn't make sense to me.

i totally not sure but since discovering the title of the book, ive felt like theres a connection to all 3. So i just closed my eyes and went ip dip dogs ssshhhh nd finished my lil rhythm and i clicked Godric's Hollow.

But like i said, i feel all three are strongly connected with the title of the book and something which Car and Cat said makes me go OH! because of course, Halloween is all Hallows eve, the night when the spirits and witches and demons etc come out to play.

And as then Car reminded me of the whole "Saint Potter" remark which Draco made. The day after Halloween is All Saints Day, a day of rest and celebration.
i would go as far as say we'll see the big battle take place at Halloween nd then celebrate teh day after, but .... JK already did that didnt she, the night the potter's were killed.

Me says it has somethign to do with the horcurxes - because they're something like "sacred" objects (at least to LV XD) and they're deadly ...

I think it refers to the horcruxes as that is a huge thing in the last book

im gonna say godrics hollow cuz we already know harry is planning on going there and maybe something exciting will happen there. I think it would be kind of cool if voldemort gets killed there, but i dont know, i could be completely wrong i was kinda puzzled at the title when i first heard it

I say Godric Hollw too. Death began there and I think death will end there too

I think its halloween as halloween is otherwise named all hallows eve, plus halloween is a huge aspect within the whole story
