Your Jobs or Future Jobs

I couldn't find a post on this, though if there is please excuse me, Im still working my way around the site.

I was wondering what other people either do as a job or what you hope to eventually do as a job.

At the moment I work as a School Receptionist though I am thinking of a career change soon

Well, I have a part-time job as a sales assistant in a clothes shop. It's actually an OK job and the money is great ! :D
But as I said it's only part-time seeing as I'm at University full time.
I have nay idea of the career I actually want - it will be something to do with theatre or PR.

Well, since i'm still in school (for three months or so, WOOOHOHOHOOOO) i'm working as a waitress at this café nearby. It's quite good, because i get paid alright, and i'm bringing more customers there.... according to my boss. Only negative thing is that i have to wear this horrible skirt thing.... ugh.

But my dream job would have something to do with music. In August i'm going to an art school where they study art in different forms, like music, drawing and writing. So that's pretty cool.

Atm I have no job Im just too lazy and I have my mum and dad to give me money atm hahaha
But I really want a job in media or music I would love to DJ but it is really hard to get into but anyway if all fails Liam said i can tour with him soooo BRING ON THE TOUR loool

I have a Saturday job at Boots, which is a chain health and beauty store. I work on the tills, and I've been there for just over two years, and to tell the truth, I'm getting really fed up of it.

It's just so monotonous, boring...doing the same thing every Saturday, having to ask EVERY customer if they have an advantage card...

Plus I don't like the new girl But, I'm going to stay there until the summer, when I'll have to leave anyway because I'm doing a year abroad next year. So I may as well stay and save up as much money as I can.

when i garduate i want to go to collage and once i get out of collage i would like to get a job involving special effects. i think it would be cool to have a job like that

I get electric shocks too. When I come off the tills and walk up to the staff room, there's a code on the door - which gives me electric shocks as I punch the number in. I also get them from the gate that's the way into the till area lol

I wanna be a teacher some day XD But really right now I'm too young to have a job, though I might get a job at Michigan's Adventure this summer XD But I really don't want to XD

Hmm... I don't know what I want to do. I'm looking at a uni course in SOMETHING to do with science, hopefully Chemistry... but I sometimes think I'm a stage manager at heart, even though I kinda only discovered backstaging just over a year ago....

Well right now im too young to have a job but when im 16 im looking to get a partime job in a book shop untill im 18 which then i will be going of to uni (hopefully) and study history and drama.
Id love to be either a drama or history teacher. But also on the side im going to have my own Judo club and hopefully write a story that sells lol!

no job right now ... blahhh.

And later... weeeeeeeeeeeeeell. It would be my dream to study arts (graphics, if everything goes well) and maybe draw ads or magazine illustrations. Oooor "just" sell *coughcough* my erm works. Which, looking at the horrors I draw now, seems very far-fetched. XD
If not I'll ermmm.... do something with marketing or whatever. XD

I currently work in computers as a personal assistant. It is flexible part time work which is great as I can continue with it longer than I could with a full time job as the time for little elf arriving draws near.

I will be going back to this job hopefully after little elf is born (February time) though my main job will be that of a mum.

When I get out of collage I want to become a teacher or something in computers. I did concider about becoming a director or a writer of a book one day, i hope so. I love to write so that last one would be perfect.

I actually want to be a teacher.

At the moment I'm working in an alteration shop where we do like... pants hemming and dresses too, and sleeves, and waists, and stuff like that XD I do pretty much everything, like taking the mesurements and preparing the clothes. The only thing I don't do is the sewing XD

I have left my job! I am no longer a Boots employee :D

I'm starting (next Wednesday, 10am, to be exact) my new 'school' which is not exactly school... (we have different system in Finland...) it's in swedish 'närvårdare' the career i'm aiming for, or the line i chose. But i'm not going to be one :D It's pretty much a 'nurse school', but i'm aiming for air hostess (which i would become easier since i get the first aid schooling during my first or second year) or something to do with teenagers, rehabs and such.

...sounds very complicated, but it's really not :D

I was a receptionist at a real estate office...so pretty much i didn't have to do anything. it was sweet

now i am unemployed...oh um, i mean- i'm a full time college student...who is supposedly too busy for a job, lol.

well, i'm only 13 but i'm hoping to be either a writer or go into publishing business!

Well, I want to be a journalist... and If that dosnt work, I always thought I would be good in a career that had to do public speaking... but I still have a while to decide.

I'm planning a career in veterinary medicine (probably equine), and writing, drawing or riding in my spare time.

On the "present job" part - still no change, aka no job xD

Future job - well, probably not the "artist" path anymore. But I've basically got two major options: something more "artsy", to do with advertising or in general some marketing stuff and something "mathsy", like accountancy or finance or banking or something the likes.

For the moment, I'm really undecided, and I can find arguments for and against both options. I guess I still have a lot of time to take this decision, but ... it's bugging me. XD

I was all about the psychology thing, until I realized I would have to deal with other people's problems on top of my own - and besides, I'm bad with problems xD

Anyway, as I am studying myself to become a nurse, I'm pretty solid there :D I can branch out, hehe.. actually, I have to make my choice soon - maybe on the children's ward, but then again, it's not as much fun handling the death of a baby than the death of an adult.

Not that it should be fun at all - it's just more educational, in my personal opinion!

I have worked in three gas stations, three fast food places, a pretzel place, and two hotels. My current job is as a Night Auditor at a Hilton Garden Inn. I love it (most of the time), but it's not the career I would choose for myself. My true dream is to be a stay-at-home mom.

I currently havn't worked yet, but I want to be a vet, or vetinary nurse. I have a back up plan if I can't do either of those though, I wouldn't mind being a secondary school biology teacher.

Well - for a student job - I've got this e-mentoring for 9th graders lined up for next term, which is gonna be pretty cool. It's basically about giving them their first notion about Japanese, answering any questions they might have and ... yeah, eventually turning them into little crazy Japanese-language-loving freaks like me.
Am also volunteering to mentor first years in the Business School at my Uni. :D

On the career-side of things, I was recently thinking to do a master in Economics and then some PhD or the likes and stay in academics, dong research and teaching to students. It's a bit of a crazy random idea, but the more I think about it, the more it appeals to me, because it's basically a way of studying my whole life. :D Oh and later on, after doing that for a few good years, I'd love to work for something like the UN or the World Bank and help with development issues. :D

.... Surely, I've only had one Economics course so far, and that was a pretty easy starter, so we'll see how things develop when I hit the hard stuff. XD ... but one can have dreams! XD
