ROUND 1: GROUP 5 : Snapes_girl V Fated4HP

Nancy quickly walked into the dueling arena and saw that she was the first to arrive. She tucked her long blonde hair up into a ponytail and removed her cloak to reveal her beloved set of Slytherin robes. She took her wand out of the pocket of them and thought about what kind of protection she could give herself.

She was shocked to see that she would be dueling her HE Hubby in the very first round. Not only did she not want to hurt him, but she knew that he was a very experienced dueler. No normal spells would work for him. She would need to be very creative.

After a few minutes of thought, an evil smirk began to appear on the corners of Nancy's red lips. She quickly pointed her wand at herself and spoke in a low tone. "protezione contro l'incendio de Phoenix" (phoenix fire protection). A soft orange glow expelled from her wand and wrapped it self around her, enveloping her with an orange/yellow radiant appearance. This sheild, and the heat it held would work well with any oncoming spells casted directly at her. The heat from the phoenix fire would simply melt the spell away before it made contact with her flesh.

Nancy then placed another charm apon herself. "assorbirlo e rendere più forte" ( absorb and make me stronger) Now any spells that were casted apon her into her phoenix fire protection would absorb the powers of the spell casted, making Nancy even stronger than she already was.

Nancy felt satisfied with these two spells. She thought for a few moments and decided she would have a surprise for Jesse to walk in on. She pointed her wand at each the torches that lined the walls and muttered "estinguere" (extinguish). Each time she uttered this spell, slowly, one by one the flames simply dissapeared from their torches. It grew darker and darker with each torch she extinguished and when she got to the last one she stopped. She needed a small amount of light to be able to place her obstacle in just the right place.

Nancy pointed her and towards the floor nearthe door to the dueling arena. "scorpion gigante" (giant scorpion) Nancy whispered and a huge scorpion appeared next to the arena door. Nancy was a scorpio and thought this would give the duel a nice personal touch. "entrata del apon di attacco." (Attack apon entry) She shouted while pointing her wand at the scorpion. The scorpion would be ready for Jesse when he opened the door to enter the dueling arena.

Nancy then pointed her wand at the last lit torch and uttered the spell to extinguish it. The room became pitch black. Nancy then uttered the lumos spell and lit up the tip of her wand. She used the light to guide herself to a far corner in the room and she leaned herself against the wall and waited for Jesse to arrive. She uttered "knox" and the light from her wand went out. She pointed her wand in the direction of the door and clutched it tightly, ready to use it when her opponent arrived.

~Jesse approached the door to the dueling arena and could feel a strong uneasiness in his body. Though he didn't really expect anything less as he was dueling his wife after all. He brushed his blond bangs out of his blue eyes that shone with determination and steadily pushed open the door~

~No sooner had he taken one step than out of the darkness there came a large scorpion. As it's venomous tail made a swing at him, Jesse was able to leap out of its path and to the left of it. He pulled out a small vial of purple liquid and drank it as quickly as possible. Then he spoke the words "Protegga da veleno (Protect from poison) and felt the swirling liquid he'd drank flow through him protecting his insides from the venom of the scorpion if it got lucky enough to sting him.~
~He drew out his wand and pointed it at the large beast ~ "Ustione alla morte da hellfire!" (Burn to death by hellfire) He watched swirls of red flames burst from his wand tip and crash into the scorpion.

Then his eyes shifted from the creature that was now burning and raised a brow~ The room was pitch black and he smirked as the darkness was his ally and both he and Nancy thrived on it. This meant that she was somewhere laying in wait of him. A rather crafty way to start off the duel he had to admit.~
"Hmm...let the fun began." He chuckled darkly. Then he opened his hand and tapped his palm three times with his wand tip and in a calmed yet firm voice he said. "Entusiasmo orizzontale dei venti persi (Horizontal Rapture of the Lost Winds)
And at that moment winds began to blow in horizontal patterns, being so strong that they loosened a few stones in the walls and sent them hurling across the arena with great force. He wondered if his little wifey was going to be able to fight against such a powerful element~

Nancy stood there in the darkness as silently as she could. Her body was still leaned against the wall in the far corner of the room. She heard the door open and her heart raced with both nervousness and excitement. Her opponent had finally arrived, her Husband!

She heard him walk into the room and within a few moments she saw a flash of light. She could see the room brightly for a few moments as Jesse set the scorpion on fire, but as quickly as it came the fire was out and the room became darkened once more. She did get a good glimpse of her Husband though and she knew his location.

"Hmm...let the fun began." She heard him say from across the room and her eyes sparkled in the darkness. This match would be a lot of fun, as they were both experienced duelers and knew how each other worked.

Just then Nancy heard Jesse utter some kind of italian spell and immediately a very strong wind began to blow. It was a wind like she had never experienced. Jesse was a crafty and creative wizard and Nancy expected something like this. Before she had time to react, she heard loud cracking sounds around her, accompanied by crashing sounds as well. Stones were being loosened from the arena and flying across the room in all directions.

She quickly pointed her wand towards the right side of the room and shouted, "die Fackeln neuzünden" (relight the torches), imediately the torches on the right side of the room lit themselves, though the strong winds made them flicker immensly. She looked to her left and saw a boulder come flying towards her, the strength of the wind pushing it along quite quickly. She threw herself onto the floor and layed on her stomach just in time as the boulder had just missed crashing into her. Several more had fallen close by. She quickly pointed her wand in front of her and shouted, "eine Turbulenz verursachen, um die Winde aufzusaugen und sie in oblivian zu saugen!" (create a vortex to absorb the winds and suck them into oblivian)

A large black cloud formed in the middle of the room and began to swirl in a counterclockwise motion. A black hole formed in the middle of the cloud and slowly began absorbing all the wind into it. After a few moments the wind had diminished to nothing and the room was as still as it had been before her opponent arrived. Nancy stood back up on her feet and pointed her wand at the vortex and uttered "evenesco." The vortex vanished into thin air.

Nancy looked over at her Husband and spoke to him in a soft voice. "Some women get showered with flowers and jewlery. I get showered with rock boulders. Does my baby know me or what?" She flashed him a devilish smile and winked at him and then thrusted her wand forward and pointed it straight at him. She looked deeply into his blue eyes with her green ones and focused hard. "Unleash die Feen der Schwärzung." (Unleash the fairies of darkness) She whispered and watched as severl small black fairies with blood red eyes erupted from her wand. They were little more than 4 inches tall. They quickly swarmed around Jesse like a swarm of angry bees. She then whispered, "meinen Konkurrenten angreifen." (Attack my opponent) She stood there and watched as the fairies began to obey her command.
