"Alright - who took my inserts!"

Alexa frankly searched high and low throughout the entire dressing room but couldn't find them even if her life depended on her. Honestly was the world out to get her today?!? She had been late, didn't have time to pack her things and obviously had forgotten them at home. Sadly she looked down at her flat chest - all she saw was nothing in her mind when on the contrary she was perfect in every way. Modeling wasn't for people who lacked confidence and yet she lacked confidence in herself when there was nothing wrong with her to begin with. Standing up - hands pressed on the edge of the mirrored vanity she kept her chocolate brown eyes averted from the mirror. A sigh escaped her perfect lips - chaos was all around her in the background with designers screaming, models hurriedly getting ready and agents making new deals for future fashion shows. All this had been going on and yet in her own little world everything stood still for a few moments. Finally she took a glance in the mirror - she didn't see a beautiful swimsuit model. What she saw was a scrawny little nothing. This was turning out to be a horrible day but she had to block that all out. This was her job after all and soon enough there was a banging on the door to hurry up. Probably the person with her costume as well. She held the robe she wore tightly around her and yelled.

"It's open!"

And in walked one of the stage helpers with her outfit wrapped in plastic. For such little material it had been taken with great care. Nothing less for Lily's designs. She may have seemed like a tyrant during the show but really she was a sweet thing and adored the girl. The woman barely said two words as she left the outfit on the couch, hearing the door quickly close behind. Alexa still stood in front of the vanity, back turned towards the door. Not another word was said. She was glad hair and makeup had stopped by earlier. Her blondish-brown locks had been left hanging down her back while a clip held her bangs back in a half up. Bronzer had been used anywhere you can possibly imagine. After all - she was supposed to be a swimsuit model and as a swimsuit model you had to have long legs and she did standing at a tall 5'11" height. Her frame may have been thin but her curves gave her shape more flow. To anyone but her she was gorgeous the way she was. But she didn't see it that way. Walking to the back of the room she grabbed the delivered design and unzip the plastic to reveal what she would be wearing. This summer's hottest fashion made by Lily herself. Her black strappy heels could be seen as she slipped into the bottom half of the bikini making sure the ties on each side were secure and wouldn't fall off. The top piece she wrapped the straps around the back of her neck like a halter top. When all was finished she took a good look in the mirror - the color was perfect for her. The material giving off a metallic color of steel, reds, oranges, yellows and black. As she turned in the light it was skin - Lily had outdone herself this time. But it barely covered her and she felt practically naked at the moment - she wasn't. Where had all her confidence gone? She was gorgeous but she would never believe it. Grabbing the hairspray bottle she sprayed her bottom so the bottom of the bikini wouldn't run as she walked on the runway. After all that would be highly embarrassing. What had this little number cost all together? A whopping 3 galleons.

Bracing herself one last time she put in her large golden hoop earrings and left the room ready to greet the day. She hoped Lily wouldn't notice anything missing but the kind Ravenclaw Head of House just gave her a smile and a wink and then proceeded to go off and yell at some stage hand. She would have laughed if she wasn't so nervous. Nodding her head when she was given the five minute warning she walked towards the catwalk entrance. It was in the middle of the afternoon on the beach. A little windy but she didn't care. The were on a raised stage and the ocean could be seen in the background. A perfect setting. The sun gave off natural light so they hadn't needed anything special. And out of nowhere the music changed and that was her cue to walk out to - an old classic by the beach boys - Girls on the beach:

Feeling the beat she pushed everything out of her mind and without a second thought she stepped out onto the catwalk hips swaying side to side as her arms would surprising stay somewhat still. Cameras in all directions went off but that was the furthest thing from her mind - she just looked straight ahead and not at the crowd. It was a long catwalk but nothing she hadn't done before as her locks would bounce around her shoulders. Reaching the end she'd have to make a pose and she would. Stopping hands on both hips as she would lean her weight on each leg - slightly slip apart and finally make a quick turn and head back down the catwalk. She had done her job and it was over - finally exiting the stage only to be met by her mother handing her a bag telling her that she left them in the car. Exasperated all she could do was say:

"Mom! Thanks but it's over now..."

RPG Catwalk:

Darby watched from backstage as Alexa wowed the crowd with her gorgeous swimsuit. Lily had done such a great design with two piece! Her right foot tapped in time to the musis as the Beach Boys song played. She grimiced slightly as Rigby tugged on one of her ponytails, trying to tame her long blond hair into submission. Good luck, Darby thought. Rigby finally gave up, and just starting curling the ends so that they flipped up a little. Darby half listened as Rigby instucted her to make wind when she walked so that she would have her hair bounce and flow as she modeled on the catwalk. Mostly her mind was on the runway. This could be her big break!! Rumors were flying that Elfie had connections with top modeling agencies, and that some scouts might possibly be in the audience this week. Darby crossed her fingers and let out a long breath.

Suddenly Rigby was shoving her towards the curtains. It was her turn! Her music started and she was off, her long legs extending out as far as she could reach, Darby was a little grumpy that Rigby hadn't let her wear high heels, but she would make it work. She paused, one hand on her hips and stared confidently out at the crowd. As she made her way down the runway she could hear some cat calls from the audience, but she wasn't embaressed. She had worked hard to get in shape for the runway and now she was confident that she looked model perfect. At the end of the runway she kicked a little of the sand that outlined the runway. The lights on the runway were soft blues and whites and flowed like ocean waves across her like water. She felt like a mermaid on exhibit.

She stuck out her hip to one side and pulled on her ponytails like a little girl before twirling and starting back. The cheers grew louded, especially from the school's male population, and Darby worked on hold in her laughter. Pausing now and then to turn and strike a pose, she continued to make her way backstage. She felt sure that all the practice Rigby and the rest of the Ravenclaws had demanded of her had paid off. She was ready for Paris and New York! Darby turned to give one last smoldering glance before exiting the runway. Backstage she twirled with happiness, accidently smacking Rigby in the side with her canvas bag. She apolgized profusely, but Rigby just laughed and told her what a great job she had done. "We're already getting orders for your bathing suit in our merchandise tent!" Rigby told Darby excitedly. Darby grabbed her wizard robes and hurried to see for herself.

"I can't go on yet - I'm completely bloated. Do you not understand what I'm trying to tell you?!? I don't think you want a whale walking down the runway! I know I signed up but there is absolutely no way you're getting me on that stage! You don't want Tina the talking tummy making an appearance!"

Bridget was exasperated she couldn't understand why they didn't see what she was talking about. She wouldn't make one move out of the room and she knew she had to go on like - now. They tried to reassure her but that just wasn't working in the least bit. She saw herself in the mirror that morning and couldn't understand why they didn't see it. Despite all the screaming around the back stage she could hear the Boys of Summer in the background which meant Darby was walking on and she was scheduled as next in line for the show. This couldn't come at a worse time - what was she supposed to do! She couldn't very well prance around in a skimpy two piece looking the way she did! Bridget wanted to shove everyone out of the room and naturally Lily would be informed soon enough of the predicament - she could hear the yelling all the way from here. Bracing herself for the worst as she saw the infamous Lily come towards her. Of course asking what was wrong she tried to explain again:

"Lily I can't go on like this - I won't! I'm totally bloating right here!"

Of course that was met with loud disapproval - the tyrant. She had to go on or her credibility in the business would be ruined. Well thanks for nothing - here I was trying to save you embarrassment. She hoped Lily liked the whale display because that's what she was going to get!! Angrily picking up the design made by Lily. Despite today she adored the little tyrant but she couldn't help but feel upset about the entire affair. She didn't even notice one of the women trying to hand her tums. In truth there was nothing wrong with her. She was just imagining things probably because this was her first big gig on the runway. After all this WAS Lily and she was one of the top designers for Ravenclaw Fashion. Of course she'd be nervous!

A sigh escaped her lips releasing the tension that had built up. Pulling out the swim suit she slipped into the bottom half - shiny lavender with periwinkle flowers dotting what little material was there. In was high cut on her thighs as well and the ties on each side rested on the curves of her hips. Slipping out of the robe she donned the matching top - deep cut and the smallest straps holding the garment up. She looked fabulous in the ensemble - her tall 5'10" frame, slim waist, long legs - all to the perfect cut of a swimsuit model. Bridget wouldn't admit it but Lily had outdone herself - the material felt like a second skin and she felt perfectly comfortable even if she was practically bear with the few exceptions. Her belly button ring hung down and she donned her favorite silver hoop earrings. She hadn't needed any makeup, no tanning bed - she was perfectly natural. Her dark highlights were such a contrast to her blonde locks. She wore in down her back with the bang pushed to the side. Slipping into the black platforms raised her height by just enough. Perfect. What did this cost? She didn't want to know but she decided to find out when Lily walked back in nodding her approval.

"4 galleons?!?"

She couldn't believe it. Shaking her head she had no time to really think about it - being warned not to destroy it. She knew what she was wearing was a fortune to the average wizard. Pulling herself out of her daze she walked to the entrance of the catwalk. The beach in the afternoon was a perfect time. She saw a stray pair of sunglass lying on the table and she took them - using them to cover her eyes - smirking she felt more at ease hidden behind the shades. And she felt better about her problem. When Darby came back off she gave the girl a smile and she got a wish for luck in return. It was her time now. And soon enough We've Got the Beat came on full blast by the Go-Go's!

That had been her cue and without thinking she came out from behind the screen to awaiting cameras and onlookers. The glasses hid her eyes giving her mystery. One hand rested on her hip which followed the sway of her hips - she hadn't tripped once and the long runway ending. Leaning to one side then the other she stopped and without second thought she lifted the sunglasses revealing amazing crystal blue eyes. With a flirty wink the glasses came back down and she walked back down the catwalk - stopping one in a while for a picture. Her heart beat was racing she couldn't believe it. When she got back behind the screen she leaned her back against a nearby wall and breathed a sigh of relief. Crystal blues peeking out under long lashes she could see Lily standing there with a smile.

"Don't look at me like that! I could had a tumor or something which caused the bloating and you still would have made me go on!"
