My rant against Powerplaying

This is something not really addressed anywhere, and really only comes into play in a few places: duelling tornament, quidditch matches, and in anything that happens in the Great Hall. However, there really should be a clear guideline on what powerplaying, otherwise known as godmoding, or cheating, is. For example, you cannot just command that someone is thrown against a wall, and then destroy them like that. It doesn't include any possible responses. Same with in quidditch. If you are a chaser or something, you really can't just say that "I flew over to the goals and saw that the keeper was facing the other direction so i scored about five times without anyone noticing." It just doesn't work. Please put rules about this somewhere.

There is a rule about this Kit, in Quidditch anyway.

Those rules are part of the site, but some people just don't respect them. I know how frustrating it can be but don't worry, they are being marked down for it.

Well, I physically cannot continue my duel as it is atm, seeing as apparently my wand was burned up and i'm pinned against a wall, all against my will. But ok.

Lol. I often wondered about this. I don't have an answer about the powerplaying bit besides what Marie's said.

But what I've realized is that you aren't limited in your duels. At all. Your wand was burned up...so maybe you can perform some wandless magic? Maybe you have a poison dart in your pocket that you can throw? Maybe you can take some potion that you HAPPEN to have a bit of that will cause ... something to happen.

If my opponent were ever to say that I was dead, I would reply that I had fainted or something and APPEARED to be dead. You still have the option of replying whatever you want. Hope this helps.
