Dorothy swam back up to the water's edge and pulled herself up out of the water. She then used magic to dry her clothes. Dorothy took off her shoes and slid her feet into the water. It was decidedly cool, and the giant squid's tentacles tickled her toes.

Dorothy picked up a flat, smooth stone and rubbed her fingers over it's grainy surface before throwing it on the lake so it skipped a couple of times before disappearing.

Shadow turned her head away, unsure of what was happening. She had never been allowed to socialize when she was younger, and was slightly afraid of what was going on.
