Odd Thomas

Dean Koontz has written three novels about a young man named Odd Thomas. He's 20 in the first book and he can see dead people. What struck me most about the first novel, and now the sequels, is the voice of Odd. It's told in first person, and the character is just perfect, earnest, sincere, funny. He feels compelled to help people and sometimes he has dreams and feelings when something is going to happen. He also sees bodachs which are these blach shapes that always come around when there is going to be destruction on a large scale. Read the book if you get a chance. Imagine Cole from 6th Sense all grown up and what he might do with his gift. Plus Elvis is in it, the real one. Three books so far- Odd Thomas, Forever Odd and Brother Odd.
