RPG Catwalk:Brooke looked around her, surprised by how empty the backstage was. The audience however was once again overflowing, and the sound of the crowd energized the young Ravenclaw model as she applied the finishing touches to her makeup. She could hear both Lily and Rigby talking about how well the merchandise tent was doing and how they were having to increase their orders to keep up with the demand. Thankfully through SPEW they had employed dozens of former house elves to help with the making of the clothes. The elves, some ashamed at their wages but nevertheless dedicated to their work, were all working tirelessly to churn out the high quality Ravenclaw designs for the demanding public.
Brooke looked down upon her own dress, smoothing out imaginary wrinkles. This was one dress the elves wouldn't have to help with, since it was one of kind. It was so beautiful that Brooke felt like a one of the kind as well. She hoped her catwalk did the dress justice. She took a peek of the runway, watching as the handsome horses outfitted in flower garlands and ribbons, were lead up and down the runway by Ravenclaw first years dressed as jockies. The runway itself was rounded like a horse track, and was a shiny emerald green. Her eyes alight with wonder, Brooke could hardly believe that in just a few moments she would step out onto that glorious runway in her one of a kind dress.
Rigby gently pulled Brooke back from the curtains, reminding her that she needed to get in place. Brooke's eyes widened and for a moment she felt out of control. Rigby saw the panick in her eyes and gave Brooke an encouraging smile. "You can do this you know. You look fabulous and I believe in you. Now get out there and show them how its done!" Brooke straightened her shoulders and gathered her wits. She was ready, and a good thing too, because her music was starting.
She stepped onto the runway,, the announcer hailing her arrival and launching into a description of her clothing. Brooke posed and modeled while he spoke, enjoying the crowd's delight. When the announcer was done she took off down the runway, trying to make her movements look as graceful and effortless as possible. It was actually much harder than it looked as she was almost constantly walking at an angle. Still, she knew that both she and the dress looked flawless, and poured that confidence into her strides. She stopped and posed by a beautiful white stallion, the flowers circling his neck gave off a heady aroma and she smiled impishly before strealing one of the flowers for herself.
Brooke completed her circle, throwing the white gladiola into the crowd. The crowd cheered her and , at their loud and vocal demands, made a second turn on the runway as a frantic Rigby hurried to replay Brooke's catwalk music. After her second turn, Brooke waved farewell to the audience, heartened by the sounds of their dismay. She was actually feeling quite smug when she finally made it back stage. She was sure that not only had she sold the dress, but that their bids and outbids would soon be pouring in. Brooke's smugness was dampened somewhat by the appearance of a Ravenclaw Designs elf, hands outstretched, reminding her that she had to take off the dress and hand it over for a through magical cleaning. She sighed as she stripped the divine dress off, never feeling so poor in her life. She would never have the money to buy a dress like this one, but the memory of it would linger forever.
