The Half Blood Prince Film

All right, so I know OotP isn't even out yet, but I think they're going to start filming it pretty soon.

It's just been announced that David Yates is directing HBP - he is the director of OotP. I think this is pretty good, because so far the OotP film looks very good.

I'm just glad Cuaron isn't doing it! Thank god!

Yes, I think they will. They have to seeing as it takes up half the book. This book will be rather tricky to make though. They only have so much footage and this book is so...thick! I imagine they might cut out some of the quidittch and the little relationship bits.

I'm gald Cuaron isn't directing either. He wasn't very good with the PoA. David Yates seems to be doing a better job. The OotP seems specatcular!

What are the bits you hope they wont cut out?
The after qudditch kiss is the main one for me but I want them to also show the dean/ginny kiss and the reaction of Harry.

Naomi Watts will be playing Narcissa Malfoy. Joseph Fiennes and Stuart Townsend have also been cast, but their roles have not yet been announced.

Hm, I'm really anxious about this one - so many little details they shouldn't be allowed to cut ... I mean, all the Voldie memories are pretty important and interesting but I have a slight feeling they will be hocus-pocus-gone, cuzz there's not much action in them...

As to Naomi Watts .. well, I don't exactly know her, but she looks nice and well, I hope she'll be a great Cissy

I've always had this vision of Narcissa Malfoy in my head... Haughty, beautiful, cold.. yet there's also another side to her. The side of her that loves her son and that emotion even overpowers her loyalty to her Lord.. So I hope Naomi portrays her well, otherwise I'll feel disappointed.

Lol Daniel Radcliffe fan girls are gonna dislike this movie or have much envy for Bonnie Wright because they should kiss in this film as they do in the book - but they may not because they cut Quidditch out of the films...

They couldn't cut out the kiss as it's a huge plot point - a whole chunk of this book is Harry realising his feelings for Ginny, and the other relationships.

Plus, I heard Dan Radcliffe say he was looking forward to those scenes, so I think they'll include them.

Yeah but don't they kiss after the Quidditch thingy i havent read HBP in a while - but if there is no Quidditch where are they going to put the kiss? I hope it's not at the Funeral or something like that - like how in POA where they ended Harry with the Firebolt...

They may put Quidditch back into the HBP film - I've heard nothing to say it won't be there.

Well, apparantly the casting reports were false. Pity..although there's usually no smoke without fire, so we may yet see it to be true...

I think Naoma Watts is perfect for cissy she actually looks sort of like I pictured her. I hope that it is true and not fake.

You know, Naomis Watts is a good acrtress, but I also think Nicole Kidman would have made an excellent Narcissa Malfoy too.

Naomi Watts is a nice Narcissa, but I have to agree with Brunette. I never thought of Nicole Kidman, but now that I look at that picture and I just saw one of her new movies...she really does have that aura of Narcissa Malfoy about her.

Yea she is pregnant, but its supposed to be due sometime before they start filming, which is October or something. IDK!

Hero Fiennes Tiffin has been cast as young Tom Riddle, and Frank Dillane is playing teenage Tom Riddle. I haven't seen any pics of those two...

Hepzibah Smith
The Gaunts
The Prime Minister

Nothing about this on TLC or MN yet, so I'm not sure if it's true. I'm not too bothered about the prime minister or Hepzibah, but I'd've liked to have seen the Gaunts.

Yea i would like to see the gaunts too!!! If they dont show it than it might ruin the movie; anyway i want to see how it will be in the cave??? i hopes it is good

They've definitely cut the Gaunts, as I said in my previous post.
