Welcome to the second Seven Before Seven Challenge: the drabble challenge. The challenge will close at the end of the tournament.

The challenge here is simple: write a drabble using the prompt given. A drabble is a short, self-contained fiction, which should ideally be exactly 100 words long.

I've never tried to write a drabble before, so I hope it's all right. It’s exactly
100 words, so I guess I succeeded in that.

Hermione dipped her hand into the crystal clear water of the stream, and sighed. It was a hot summer day, and she was incredibly angry with Ron. How dare he suggest that she not go on the Horcrux hunt? How dare he?

She started as she heard footfalls approaching; from their heavy tread she knew that it was Ron. Great.

“Hermione?” He sounded unsure. She turned, and saw he wore a worried frown.

”Yes?” She asked, somewhat impatiently.

“I’m sorry.” Ron replied simply, shrugging slightly.

Hermione felt her heart warm and smiled, deciding to forgive him. How could she not?

well here's my first attemt as well...

Ginny paced her room, He loved her that was deffinate, but he had to leave her for that, for that Hunt! Ginny sat down on her bed her head in her hands and silently began to cry.

There was a nervous knock at her door, "Ginny?" it was Harry's voice.

"Go away!" she yelled.

The door creaked open and Harry entered, he took her in his arms.

"I'm sorry Gin," His voice was filled with sorrow as he continued. "I just don't want you to get hurt." he looked into her eyes and he kissed her. "I'll always love you"

Just for Ginny

“Fight it, Harry!! Fight it!”

Her voice cut the air, and his laboured breaths slowed. She saw the determined look on his face, and stepped forwards to help.

“You have to—gah!” He clutched at his side, toppling onto the floor. Her hand reached out to him. “No! Please… get away from here!”

Pausing, she let her hand fall, and turned from him. Feet moved away, stopping once.

She looked back, and saw those eyes. Those bright, emerald eyes, piercing her heart and her soul, stopping her body of all reasoning.

But just for that moment. Just for Ginny.

ha 109 words it was 110 but I cut it

“Harry!” Ginny screamed, the storm snatching away her words. “Are you out there?”

The furiously pounding rain came down in torrents. She was dripping and trembling, and yet she stood there, unmoving. The trees all around her shivered as the wind blasted through them. Wiping the rain and tears mingling on her face, she waited for Harry to appear through the trees. She wanted so badly to tell him…anything. He was too angry to be rational…she knew something unspeakable would happen if he didn’t come back to her, right now.

Dead leaves swirled around her as she fell to her knees in the mud, sobbing. Harry did not come.

It was over… They had lost… And Malfoys don’t lose. Draco tore off his Death Eater’s mask and turned his wand. “Avada-” he began, but was cut off.

“Don’t Draco!”

He opened his eyes, and there, in front of him, was the only reason why he might want to live. A small smile appeared on his face and Draco slowly lowered his wand.

“Hermione…” he murmured in a voice full of love.

The girl before him smiled. “Come with me,” she said and held out her hand.

Draco looked into her brown eyes full of tears...

He took her hand.

Harry watched as Ron and Hermione danced somewhat ackwardly past him. Tonks and Remus were pressed together, barely swaying to the music, Bill was twirling Fleur around as fast as her lavish wedding gown would allow. Suddenly Harry felt a hand on his shoulder.

"Harry, be a dear and go rescue Ginny from Fred." said Mrs. Weasley.

Harry crossed the floor to Ginny, who looked breathtaking in a backless midnight blue gown. He cut smoothly between her and a spastic Fred. Dancing closely it was easy to pretend that they were back together, but when the music ended, the finality of their parting shook Harry to the core.

I got it to exactly 100 XD

Harry sighed as he got up, the war had just ended about a month ago and it got harder to deal with the pain of loss each morning. He headed down into the kitchen of Number Twelve Grimmauld Place, the place that had served as the headquarters of the Order throughout the whole war.

“Morning Harry,” came the voice of Hermione.

“Morning,” he said simply sitting down at the table.

She walked up behind him and wrapped her arms around his shoulders. “It’s gonna be okay you know.”

He smiled as he looked up at her. “Your right, it is.”

one summer morning at hogwarts there was a young boy and girl.the boy was handsome and his name was ron weasley.the girl was bautiful and her name was hermione granger.and the nice pair had a best friend.he was the famous harry potter.well harry potter went looking for the last horcruxes.they were spending there nights at a relative of hermione's.well hermione was outside on the front porch and singing the song becuase of you.and ron came and said "hermione you sing bautiful".and she said "thanks".and ron notice that she was crying and he asked her "hermione whats wrong?"and she said "you know whats wrong?whats wrong is that i cant keep it inside anymore!ron i love you with all my heart!" and ron said "i love you too"and hermione said "i love you too too much!"then they started to get closer to each other and hermione huged ron and kissd him and they got married and had little ronnie and wendy hermione weasley.and they lived happelly ever after! (i know its bad but i was in a hurry!i just want points for gryffindor!)

This was the very first time I ever wrote a drabble, I hate having to make it short But somehow, I managed to make it to exactly 109 words Hope you like it and it isn't too confusing ^^

He didn't hear the screams of those around him, couldn't move to help. He had known that it was bound to happen, but why did it have to happen so soon? And why did he choose exactly this day?

He was lost, immobile, staring into those cold, gray eyes. It was certain. He had been the only one to know where the wedding was held, and now Death Eaters were all over that place.

An old question: Which feelings lie behind those eyes? Now, the realisation: there weren't any. Slowly, Harry lowered his gaze, turned away, forcing himself to face the apparently obvious truth: Draco Malfoy had betrayed him.

After examining the thestrals, Luna turned around and saw that Neville was standing right behind her.
“I think there’s a Amorbicho (Spanish for lovebug) around here” Luna said in her dreamily voice.
“Wh-“began Neville but Luna already started to explain.
“It’s a bug that goes around and once it bits you, you fall in love with the closest person around” Luna answered then gave Neville a peck on the cheek.
Neville started to turn pink then he staggered backward falling down onto the ground. “Yea, I guess that thingy is around here” Neville said quietly as Luna started to smile.

Draco lowered his wand as every possible particle of emotion drained from him.
“you’re not worth it Hermione" he muttered.
Hermione once sneering with all her might blinked at the unusual use of her name!
"wh-what did you...call me?" whispered Hermione enough for Draco to hear.
Draco was already walking away looking down. He heard Hermione’s footsteps behind him, stopping dead.
"Leave." he said plainly.
"No." Hermione walked towards Draco until a foot away from him and stopped.
"You don’t want this, Granger"
"I’m not sure i know...” said Hermione, last seeing a blue grey blur passing her eyes...

It was the night of Bill and Fleur’s wedding. Harry was dressed in a classical black suit, with a green tie to bring out his eyes. It was Hermione’s suggestion and he couldn’t say no. Hermione was in a blue dress that was low cut in the front and didn’t have much of a back to it. Harry had grown to love Hermione’s company if not love her.

Harry walked up to Hermione and twirled her around. “Come dance with me please.” Harry asked smiling.

Hermione gasped as she was twirled around. “Harry you scared me. Dance, Harry for you.”


(I had to cut so many words it's not even funny.)

Ginny looked around she was in the chamber of secrets again and she had been for hours now. Feeling around in the darkness Ginny began searching for her wand again.
"Crucio" Cried the Dark Lord
"You will be reunited with your dear Potter soon"
It was many hours after that, that noise could be heard in the distance footsteps of people running.
And suddenly the dank room was filled with light
"Ah Potter so nice of you to join us" voldemort said pointing his wand at Harry. "Die like a man"
"Ginny run and get Help" Harry cried
"Save youself"
And they were the last words Harry ever spoke to her.

It's Finally Over

“It’s over it’s finally over!” shouted Hermione. She ran over to Ron and hugged him. Ron couldn’t help but chuckle at her hyper joy.

All of a sudden Hermione noticed something was wrong. “Ron, where’s Harry?”

Ron’s face fell and they both looked around frantically. They finally saw him not that far off. They bolted over to him.

“Harry, Harry, wake up…” she cried shaking him. Ron knelt down and held tightly to Hermione as tears fell down her face. “He’s dead. Why him?”

“I don’t know Hermione, I don’t know,” Ron spoke as a tear fell down his face.

Oh my gosh this was hard. 100 words?? whew that was a challenge but because I took off so much it's kind of crappy. Oh well here it is. 110 words.

“You said that it was over. That we were over.”

“I can’t do this without you Ginny. I thought I was making the right choice for both of us. But I was wrong. I need to know that you’ll wait for me.”

Harry removed his right hand from her face and searched for something in his robes. His hand emerged holding a small silver ring.

“It was my mother’s. I found it last week. We’re meant to be together. I love you.”

Tears stung her eyes and she bent her head. Harry lifted her chin and saw that she was smiling.

“I’ll wait for you,” she said, “forever... and always.”

Harry was showing incredible amount of skill in the duel, all his curses showed incredible power and accuracy that made seemed to make voldemort falter

Suddenly, a Death Eater that dueling Ginny made her stumble right in front of Voldemort who just shot off the killing curse.

Suddenly, a golden glow seemed to shoot out from Harry like weaving tentacles and envelop Ginny. The green curse touched the golden circle and rebounded onto Voldemort who fell to the ground shock still on his face.

Harry wraped his ams around Ginny and they both smiled at the victory of the Light

Ok so here it is, hope you like it 108 words.

She came to a stop after running the fastest she could. She just couldn't deal with it. She came to a clearing in the forest. Slient and peaceful, a perfect place for her to think and relax.

Suddenly she heard a familiar voice "Hermione? Are you alright?" She turned and there he was with a worried look on his face.

"Not Really." she said approaching Ron, "I don't want to lose you, I tell you to be careful and you never listen. And don't risk your life because of me-."

"Hermione," he interrupted. "I do it because I love you," he said as he hugged her while she cried.

A Friendship in trouble

Lily stirred quietly as she was waking up. She glanced at the clock on her side table and gasped as she threw the covers back and jumped out of bed.
"Dang! Late again."
Dressed, she quietly exited the dorm and rushed down to the lake by Hagrid's hut. This was the third morning in a row she had been late, and she knew he would be upset. They'd begun these covert meetings at the start of their 2nd year and they had become a daily ritual. She loved Snape so dearly, but their lives were quickly heading down different paths.

These were all so brilliant and I enjoyed reading every single one of them.
