DADA is a subject that I enjoy. The importance it would have in my life would be the academic side of it.

I find them incredibly complex and that the could be used for both good and evil though if used for evil the consequences are well scary.

- What’s the importance of DADA to you and for your magical life?

The importance of DADA to me is that the knowledge I shall gain from learning about the Defenses and the Dark Arts. The importance in my magical life is that I shall be able to protect others and myself when the time calls for it.

The Dark Arts is just another type of magic that many do not try to learn about because of thier fear of it. The Dark Arts can be used saftly if it is used by the right people. There are some evil people who use it for thier own personal gain but I believe that it can be used correctly from poeple who would like to help and protect others.

I do not fear death. Just like Dumbledore said,'Death is but the next adventure in life.' I would not be afraid to risk my own life to save another. Once I had gotten inbetween a fight between two dogs but luckily I did not get hurt. I believe that you cannot live life to the fullest if you fear death. It is a natural occurnce that happens to everyone sooner or later.

- Are you afraid of the dark?

I am not afraid of the dark and my thanks go out to my sister. When we were younger I had wanted the door in the room we shared to be open but she wanted it close so I gave into her and let her have her wish.

- Do you scare easily?

No and I give my thanks out to my brother. He is always trying to scare me when I lest expect it. The only thing that I am afraid of is bees. If I hear the buzzing sound I will quickly look for the source and if I see that it is a fly or some other harmless bug I will remain where I was but if I see a bee I shall run away screaming.

The DADA is important to me because it teaches me to protect myself from Dark Magic. It is very important to know this with Voldemort and the Death Eaters out killing people.

I really don't like the Dark Arts. The Dark Arts are used for evil purposes and to kill and torture innocent people. Dark Magic is clearly not my favorite thing.

I don't really fear death. I would sacrafice myself for someone I loved. Death is nothing to fear mainly because it is going to happen whether you like it or not.

It is extremely important. Without DADA, we would be defenceless when it came to dark creatures and evil doers. We need to learn it, and learn the practical side of it - not just theories.

DADA is very important to me because I use it to protect myself and my friends. It is one of my favorite subjects and without it, I would be at the mercy of the Dark Arts and Dark creatures.

The importance of learning defense against dark arts is to protect myself from those that seek to harm me, also learning more about my enemy and the spells they use can help to give me the upper hand.


What are your feelings towards de Dark Arts?

It's hard not to be intrigued by them. Although I would never be drawn to the dark side I do have a natural curiosity about them. I believe that in order to truly choose a side you must understand both sides arguments ( deatheaters vs order of phoenix). The study of Dark Arts is necessary in order to understand why they are so very dangerous and immoral.

I have no fear of death, but at this age I would prefer, if I could, not to die just yet. DADA can help me stay alive.

-What’s the importance of DADA to you and for your magical life?

DADA can be very useful, especially for me. I am much better at defensive than offensive, and in fact I often imagine worst-case scenarios, and plan out what I would do in the event that they actually happened. From a magical perspective, well it always pays to be prepared, though I own an apothecary in Diagon Alley and have not publicly announced affiliations to any side...but that is basically what DADA is all about--being prepared for the worst.

- What are your feelings towards de Dark Arts?

I believe the Dark Arts can be useful, and their reputation was worsened by the Dark wizards who used them and the way they were used. At times, the only way to fight Dark Arts is by using Dark Arts. I do not hate the Dark Arts on principle, like many wizards and witches seem to do. However, Dark Arts is mostly offensive, and like I already said, defensive is one of my strengths, not offensive.

- Do you fear Death? How much?

I don't fear death. I figure it'll happen to us all eventually, sooner or later. But I do fear the repercussions my death would have on others. I know so many people would be hurt if I died, so for their sake I do my best to stay alive. I would also be very hurt if certain people I care about died, but still it is not something I'm terrified of.

- Are you afraid of the dark?

I am terrified of the dark, but only when I am alone. Oh, but I can only fall asleep when my room is completely dark. The dark calms me. Go figure.

Depends. If someone is telling horror stories about serial killers when I'm camping alone with just them in the forest? Yes. If someone hides under my bed and then grabs my feet? Kind of. If someone jumps out from behind a door and shrieks? For a second. If someone tells me there is a kidnapper roaming the streets? Not so much. If a massive hurricane is coming that is supposedly going to wipe us all out? No. I suppose you could say I am more afraid of direct confrontations than indirect ones. It also depends if it is dark at the time, and if anyone I know is around.

1-I tend to think before I do things, plan an attack and counterattack before they are needed.
2-When I am in the middle of a crisis or fight, I go into automatic, and don't feel my fears or doubts as much as usual--I almost never panic.
3-I am quick at finding an escape route or finding my way out of a seemingly impossible scenario, I am very alert to everything going on around me.

1-I am not good at spontaneous lying.
2-If something unplanned comes up, it will be more difficult for me to deal with it.

That can be catastrophic because when the big thing happens and I realize that the situation is no longer safe, I am not aware of the little things that could get in my way.

Well, without naming which side I'm on, it's always good to know what you're up against, to know who's your enemy. So I would say, a pretty important.

I have my darker moments. Dark Arts are more for a character who likes to attack instead of defense, so I think they're useful in a certain situations.

Not my own death, more like the death of people I care about.

Three: I'm witty. If I need time to think for my next action (and I hardly ever think before acting!) I can use a witty comment or two to play some time.

One: My short temper. If an insult, comment or anything at all hits a weak point, I lose it. Consequences can be deathly.
Two: I'm very stubborn. Yes, I'm one of those persons who really can't just "let it go", so to speak. If a troll comes running towards me with a bat swaying in his hand, I would rather lift my fits up and try to fight than run and give the impression of giving up.
Three: Language barrier. I'm more of a talker who mixes three difference languages in one sentence. A person who stands and waves with her arms while talking with the speed of light, making no sense whatsoever, is exactly what I am!

Well, learning DADA makes my feel safer (and smarter) because I will know how to defend myself in 'tough' situations like dueling.

Dark arts are not really 'dark' unless used in a bad way to hurt others. I think that dark arts can be used in dueling especially if the opposing side is using them too. Overall, dark arts shouldn't be used in everyday situations but when defending like in dueling, I think it's okay.

Not really. In my opinion everyone will die sooner or later, and you can't really be 'sad' about your own death. But I don't want people I care about or people in general to die for the wrong reasons

Only if it's completly pitch black in a unknown places with weird noises.

Like where people startle me I get scared like 'You scared me' Otherwise I'm only scared when watching those extremely horror/scary movies. Or maybe when I'm really really nervous

DADA is very important to me because it's a way to protect myself against dark magic. Which is something that could easily save my life in any given number of situations, also if there is ever another war it could very easily help to keep me alive. It's a very important factor in survival I think.

I believe that the dark arts, though should be feared, should also be understood. As how can you know if you're against something, if you have no clue what it is. I would never practice them, but I do believe that studing how they work is something that is essiental.

I don't fear death. I do however fear what comes after death, what will become of me after I have died... if anything at all becomes of me...

I'm not afraid of the dark, I'm afraid of the absence of light. For instence, if you turn off the lights I won't be scared. Unless of coarse you leave me in a room that's complete and total darkness, where no light can get through. Also, I consider another person that I know and trust to be light, however if you put me in utter darkness with a stranger that could be a pyscho murder... well that's different XD

Yes, I do. I tend to be a bit overlly cauious, esspecially when I am alone. That's when I scare the easiest, I'm a little better when I'm with other people.

Learning to defend myslf again the dark arts is extremely important. There are always going to be dark wizards and witches, and I want to make sure I know how to defend myself and my friends.

I would never practice them, however, I feel that you should always be as informed as possible about whatever you are fighting. So I think knowledge about them and how they work is very important.

For me DADA is essential to any wizard good, bad, or inbetween because everyone needs to be prepared for the evil that is out there and a threat to everyone. I feel it's important to me because its a way for wizards and witches to band together and fight to protect ourselves, each other, and our world. Without DADA we're vulnerable to creatures and spells that we may not even know about yet.

I am extremely against the Dark Arts. I feel that they're just a protection for those to insecure to trust themselves and follow their own path. I think it shows immense strength of character to denounce the Dark Arts because you're showing you're willing to fight for the more difficult side, because some see the good side as less alluring or weak.

I do to an extent, but would never go so far as to try to prevent it beyond normal means of defending myself. I do what I can and accept that it will come eventually.

A fantastic subject full of wit and knowledge, but can be dreadfullly deady in the wrong hands, *hides her own behind her back*, I think that its...fun...yeah that's the ony word I can think to put there. So in short I feel very friendly towards the Dark Arts.

I do not fear death, however I do fear dieing a very stupid selfinflicted death, such as driving off a cliff or angering a hippogryff.

A wise woman once told me not to be afraid of the dark but what's in it...so no I'm not afraid of the dark.

Shocked yes, scared no, you could catch me off guard and startle me but you wouldn't scare me.

It is very important to me to be able to defend myself in any given situation. Because I feel that the Dark Arts are at best inappropriate, at worst evil, I strongly desire to take a stand against them. Therefore, it's doubly important to me to be able to fully defend myself.

- What are your feelings towards de Dark Arts?
As I implied before, I feel that the Dark Arts should never be used against any living creature. However, I am of the opinion one should be trained in the theory at least of Dark Arts. How can one fight something he or she is incapable of understanding?

To some degree I do fear death. That is purely because of my upbringing. I was raised to have an unhealthy fear of Hell, and because of that I feel like I can never be good enough to keep myself away from the place. That's particularly interesting because I don't believe that Hell is what I was always taught it was. I'm not even sure I think it exists. I would be willing to die for a cause I strongly believed in, however.

- Are you afraid of the dark?
Unfortunately I am still afraid of the dark, though not nearly as afraid as I once was. I'm usually able to sleep in the dark if someone else is in the home. However, when I am alone, I have to have the light on in my bedroom. I can handle it if I don't have to sleep, though.

It depends on the situation I'm faced with. If it involves the unknown, then yes, I do frighten easily. Otherwise, I usually have a little more nerve.

i don't really fear death, as everyone has to die.. well not really, but i'm not a fan of the whole horcruxes and elixer of life jazz. i rather fear what comes after death more than the whole death part.

sometimes. i think that there are two different types of darkness, there's the comfortable darkness where everything's calm and such. and then there's the kind of darkness that is very stuffy, and dense, where's it's so quiet that you think there must be something out there, yeah, that kind of darkness scares me.
