PHOTOGRAPHY CHALLENGE 1 : Views and Sights

Welcome to the first photography challenge of this new forum.

Please remember, ALL submissions MUST be your own work.

Photos do not necessarily have to be new (ie: they could have been taken a year ago) or you can take a new one especially - it is up to you!


The Challenge

Submit a photo (please put as thumbnail or link) of a perfect view in your eyes. Please remember that this is not a challenge for the best view, but the best artistic photo of that view.

It must be of scenary, not objects or people.

Housepoints

All particiapants : 30 housepoints
1st place: 200 housepoints
2nd place: 150 housepoints
3rd place: 100 housepoints

So there we are in Israel, huffing and puffing our way down this huge cliff, when we see a few cows calmly munching. I just HAD to snap a pic of one...do you see HER looking even slightly out of breath? XD Note the Arab village waaaay down at the bottom of the cliff...

This is a photo taken at Cooper's Island (either that or Cane Garden Bay lol I can't remember) at the British Virgin Islands... I love landscape photography, so I couldn't resist snapping multiple shots of this sunset.. lol I had a hard time deciding which one to post here.

Sooo I was at my friend's birthday party and then the sun started setting. And she lives kinda behind a sparse bunch of trees, but through the trees you can see a REALLY great view. So we snapped all these pictures of the sunset through the trees, and I think my hand actually SLIPPED on this one-and it came out really pretty. Sorta like the clouds the painters used to do in those olden days. (When Dumbles was a young man )

Well this is in taken somewhere in India. Maybe five or six months ago...

Icky quality cause it was taken with one of those throw-away camera things but that's a pic I took at the Grand Canyon last summer, with the clouds and rain and sun peeking through, and it's one of my favorites of all those I took.

Can we enter more than one pic? XD


It's the sun shining through some trees in my back yard. I just ran outside and snapped a photo when I saw this contest. =P

Okay. This was taken a while ago when my cousins from Maine and Delaware and Georgia came for my sister's confirmation. We went on this nature hike thing in New York and I took this photo with my camera

This is taken on my holiday trip to Crete - more exactly, on the island of Spinalonga, right next to Crete. There's an old castle (the ruins of it, that is) and there were some great views, but somehow, I decided to pick this pic (lol how that sounds xD).. because of that perfetly green tree, so alone seemingly on top of that wall, under that perfectly blue sky ... ahhh, wonderful XD
