| You may now start your test. If you successfully reach the end o the test you’ll find me your DADA professor, ready to give your grade. There’s a path you must follow to reach me.
Remember if you don’t post for a month your test will be closed. Check the guidelines and focus on the things you’ll be marked for.
A warning at times I may need to god-mod either to point you in some direction or to test you or if I think you’re not skilled enough for something you’ve done, however how you cope with it will only benefit you.
When a question is made try not just plainly answer it, express your feelings towards it.
That’s it good luck.
-------------------------------------
It’s dusk and you’ve reached the entrance of an old forest. There are some old fallen trees on the ground surrounded by twigs and barks.
You see a red arrow floating in the air pointing the direction you must step over the trees to follow it. What do you do? Step over the trees or go around them?

| I think about it for a minute. On the one hand, it never hurts to be careful. On the other hand, I see nothing unusual about the trees. They really look just like regular trees. To make sure, I shoot a spell at the nearest fallen tree. "Rilevazione Magica," I mutter. (Magical Detection) If any sort of magical spell were on those trees, they would glow blue. But nothing happens.
I decide to risk it, how dangerous a creature would be in a tree log? And I lift a leg carefully to step over the trees, making sure not to touch them. | |

| Hint: identifying what you’re facing will give you more points and will probably help you finding a way to defeat it. ------------------- Streams was stepping over the trees when the amount of twigs and barks surrounding the fallen tress seem to gain life and take into the form of a flat-faced little stickman with brown eyes and long sharp fingers. The little creatures gather around Streams their fingers despite its size are really sharp and inflict and as two of them start to crawl up Streams legs they inflict a considerable amount of pain. As Streams dwells on what to do she looks both directions from where he had came and also more inside the forest where another floating arrow can be seen… | |

| "Stupid, stupid," Streams muttered under her breath. "How could I have forgotten about Bowtruckles? How?" She had been distracted, she usually was when beginning an exam. She took a deep breath, vowing not to make such a ridiculous mistake again. Keeping one hand free so that she could shield her eyes if necessary, Streams waved her wand and yelled, "Stupefy!" But the creatures were very thin and moving fast, and it was hard to hit them. Cursing under her breath, Streams had another idea and figured it was worth a try. After all, she WAS in a forest...
"Accio woodlice!" she shouted, cupping her hand. Woodlice rose from all around, forming a small cloud and dropping neatly into her cupped palm. She grimaced as they tickled and crawled about on her hand, and tried not to look at them as she knelt on the ground and extended her hand, offering the woodlice to the Bowtruckles. As the creatures grabbed the treat, Streams strode off in the direction of the next red arrow, stopping to briskly rub her legs where the Bowtruckles had scratched them. Though there were no more woodlice in her hand, she could still feel that crawling effect and shuddered slightly as she hurried on. | |

| Streams walked a few more feet until she reached a bi-furcated path. Both drove inside into the depths of the forest. Two red glowing arrows could be seen poiting in both paths. One of the path is free. The other one is guarded by a small cat-like creature with spotted fur, outsize ears and tail like a lion's. The creautre looks at you interested. What are your feelings towards it? Which path will you chose? | |

| "Hmm," Streams pondered as she came to the split path, and then saw a little creature standing resolutely in the middle of one path. "Oh!" Streams exclaimed, approaching slowly so as not to scare it away. "You're a Kneazle, aren't you? I wonder what your name is..."
The Kneazle didn't move so Streams drew closer still and wondered if she dared to touch it. Who would abandon a Kneazle in the middle of such a forest? The poor thing...shaking her head sadly, Streams reached into her knapsack and drew out one of the two tuna sandwiches she had packed in case the test took longer than anticipated. Her stomach WAS growling, come to think of it. So she sat down at the side of the path and pulled out the other sandwich as well.
She carefully opened the first sandwich and lay it down a couple feet away. The smell of tuna wafted through the air and she could see the Kneazle's whiskers twitching...pretending to ignore the Kneazle, Streams ate her own sandwich, and grinned when she saw the Kneazle hesitantly and then more happily and confidently sniffing and eating the tuna Streams had left for it.
"Oh...you're such a sweet boy, aren't you?" The Kneazle came over to her slowly and rubbed against her legs. "Are you...purring?" Streams asked delightedly. Carefully, she stroked the Kneazles soft fur. "I really need to be getting on...you can come along if you like though. Maybe I can guess your name...or give you a new one."
Smiling, Streams headed down the Kneazle's path, the Kneazle walking at her side. | |

| Streams and the Kneazle walked alongside through the path for what it seemed to be a long time. Night had settled when Streams reached a field full of holes on the ground.
Streams looked back the Kneazle was a few feet behing its hair was raised like when cats feel threatened or ready to attack.
Streams stood in the entrance of the field deciding what to do. The red arrow above pointed to the end of the field. | |

| Streams walked along steadily, glad to have the Kneazle by her side for company. "So what's your name then sweetheart, hmm?" They kept to the path as Streams tried out random names, but in reply the Kneazle would yowl in disgust. Finally, at twilight, Streams hit on a name the Kneazle seemed to find satisfactory. "What about Ailill?" At this, the Kneazle purred, rubbing against her legs. "Ailill it is then, my little elf," Streams said contentedly, glad to have Ailill with her when it grew dark.
She reached the field and watched Ailill's reaction carefully. "Not good, eh? And you're very perceptive..." she stopped at the edge of the field, thinking about the possibilities.
"Could be a giant's footsteps...but no way did a giant pass this way today. We'd have seen the birds take flight and heard it from a long way off..." she muttered under her breath. "What else, what else...maybe gnomes? But what would they be doing here in the wilderness? They prefer cultivated gardens."
She shook her head, confused. Maybe Ailill simply didn't like the creatures present in the field, but that didn't mean they were dangerous. "Maybe Nifflers?" she wondered aloud.
She took a few steps back and stood behind a tree. Ailill followed her, still looking upset. Streams thought hard for a spell that might reveal the creatures in the field without hurting them. Grinning, she decided on "Scoppio di aria." A blast of cool air blew steadily from her wand and she stepped forward, holding her wand in front of her and waiting to see what would happen next. | |

Streams walked free of harm for at least half the field then suddently from the wholes little creatures started to pop up. Small goblin-like creatures or was it more dwarf-like? About four feet tall and glowing vicious red eyes.
There werw about 50 of them, all looking maliciously at streams. The kneazle jumped to scratch one of the creatures but was quickly surrounded by 5 of them who started beating the animal.
The creatures soon realised the stream of air wasn't gonna hurt them so they raised their feets, showed their teeth and got ready to beat their new victim to death.
The next red arrow could be seend 25 feet away in the end of the of the field. | |
