EXTRA CURRICULUM: Choir Rehearsal Room

This semesters choir task will involve putting on a full scale performance of 'The Lion King'.

The
choir will need to look through and 'rehearse' the songs from this hit
musical and work together to put a performace together combining their
skills in singing, dancing, creation (ie: costumes, set and design etc)
This can be portrayed in any way they feel best in doing it, for
example: role play, live singing, video recording, posting images etc
etc.

The performance will need to be ready to perform by the end of this school event.

Points avaliable:

Group choir split points: tbc
Each member points: 800

Sign me up for the rpg department, my voice curdles milk, and although my graphics aren't flawless yet, I'd be happy to make some if we need it.

Maybe we could make a program/pamphlet for the musical? That might be a nice touch.

OK, well I can't sing and also, my mic is broken at the moment until I get a new one which is next week sometime. So samples are out of the question for me at the moment.
I'm up for the graphics and rpg though !

Ok, i signed up for this late...so I should (hopefully) be added to the list. If Sharon allows it,(I PM'ed her) I can sing and do voice over. I have a mic and singing is a hobby of mine. I know Marie, Jenn, Raisty and Lily have heard me before. For those who haven't click the links I will put at the bottom of this post! RPG is also a strong skill of mine as well as an obsession. Whatever you want me to do, I am YOURS! XD

My voice is very young sounding so Nala or someone like that would be more suitable for me..lol

But with the I'll do whatever I ment like, if someone really wants something then let them have it. Factor me in last because I'm really going to be happy doing whatever I end up with, and I don't really want anything specific, as long as I'm part of it, I'm good.

You've all heard me singing... I hope. Battle of the Bands, last year. Anyway, I don't mind - if you don't have enough (singers, narrators, etc) I'll do it. I wouldn't mind writing the script, actually.... Writing is my forte :D

Jenn, you should split your post into the three main categories and put those in each category under the headers. Makes things a bit easier

I can't make graphics, one i suck at them, two my psp disk is brooooooooooke so i cant install the tupid thing and its taking 3 days to download. I wot sing, xD not saying i can't but i just won't and ive no idea how to record it so anyways i'll RP *shrugs*

The problem is that I can sing ,but I do not have a mic. That makes things difficult. I do also love to rpg though. I can also draw so pictures / graphics would be fun.

Ok, Raistlin and I are working on "Just can't wait to be king" together. I have the young Simba part recorded. He will be doing the Zazu part of the song and then when he's done we will have both of our voices on the one clip! The wonders of technology!! Excellent considering we live on opposite ends of the world eh?

Is there a possibility of doing something backstage?

Okay. I thought I should update the list becasue it needs to be done. lol. Umm.. Then we can start making commitee's and stuff so that everybody is working on something.

Cast::

Banzai [Skulk, Lurk] : Most quick-tempered of the Hyenas. Best with comebacks. Offsets Shenzi and Ed quite well.

Ed : The stupidest Hyena. Has a Bill the Cat stare.Noted by warts on the tongue. Too stupid or slow
to lie at the right time.
Mufasa : Current King of the Pride Lands. Well-built lion. Thick mane. Brown eyes. Biiig kitty. Father of Simba. Elder brother of Scar.

Nala : Friend and companion of Simba. She can pin Simba in a fight. As an adult she and Simba fall in love, prolonging a tradition they had refused as cubs.

Pumbaa [Simpleton] : A well-padded warthog and friend of Timon. A little slow, but when he catches on, it's surprising what he can do. Has a flatulence problem.

Rafiki [Friend] : A mandrill whose role is of a mystical shaman. Outwardly he appears to be crazy, but in reality he is very wise. Rafiki will also be the narrorator.

Sarabi [Mirage] : Mother of Simba. Wife of Mufasa. Leader of the lionesses.

Scar : Younger brother of Mufasa. Uncle of Simba. Well-chiseled, bony features. Flat black matted mane. Aspires to be King of Pride Rock by deceit, due to his thin size and weak stature. His claws are always partly extended. Has a vertical scar across his right eye that presumably accounts for his name.

Shenzi [Uncouth] : Female of the Hyena trio. Major attitude. Probably the smartest and deals the best with Scar. Most even temper.

Simba [Lion] : The cub of Mufasa. Soon to be King of Pride Rock. Initially a cub, later an adult. Brown eyes. As an adult, he's not as well-built as his father was, presumably from growing up on a diet of insects... Friend of Pumbaa and Timon.

Timon : An outcast meerkat; a friend of Pumbaa. Very self-reliant, quite a fasttalker (like a used car salesman). Stands about 6" tall.

Zazu : The King's loyal servant. A hornbill, which is
a large-beaked bird.


Ok...Here is a list of characters we need to cast...I know a few of you have already started on songs...and I will go back through the posts and edit with those who have already claimed chracters. Since there are so many of us...and so everyone will have some sort of participation...for each character, we need a singer...who will record their voice for singing...each character will also need and RPG'er who will Rpg the actual musical etc..some of the larger rolse may be shared...Each character will also need an artist to do their visual graphics. Each graphic person may have a couple characters to do...as it seems not many have signed up to do graphics. This is all just brainstorming...if everyone thinks this is rubish just let me know...just thought I would try to get things rolling...XD
