Those in the school newspaper team are:

Your first job is to elect an editor.

Once an editor is elected, their first job is to work with the rest of the team to deligate positions of responsibility within the newspaper. Each member of the team above need a title of responsibility and must know what they are working on to create the newspaper.

Once each member has a designated position, it is the job of the editor to pm me (elfie dumbledore) the list of names and titles so please decide on the editor carefully.

Once this task is complete a thread will be opened to begin planning for the creation of the newspaper.

I'll step down from the editors election as I would rather take another position

I vote for Streams cuz I think she has a good knowledge of how to put a paper down ahd what it's needed.

I also think Jenn'd be a great editor too!

Editors need to be able to run the newspaper. I think Lily isn't online in the week? Correct me if I am wrong?
I think Streams and Jenn are on a lot, so they are good picks, as are you Raist. Looking at the top of the register list, Amber, Puppet, and Katie have also all been here every day, followed by Elana, RhiannonMei , and The5Potters. All are good choices for editor, though we need to work together to elect someone who wants to be editor.

I agree that the editor needs to be someone who is not only online pretty often...but someone who can also lead. Someone who can organize the group and keep everyone motivated and on task. I nominate Kate for this. I know she was on her schools newspaper...and I believe she is the woman for the job!

I think I agree with Rai on this one and think that Streams would be a good choice for the job, though I also think that Kate could do a good job, too.

Whatever you do don't pick me, I am a horrible editor *was a substitute editor for the school paper once* Yeah it didn't go well XD.

She would be good!!!

I'll go with whoever, but if you need someone I'll do it too.. I'm fine with anything

OK, well I would prefer not to be editor so I'm good for whoever is chosen !

Well there are 23 of us...so I say we nominate 3-4 people and put it to a vote so we can get started...

Although I'd like to be editor, I REALLY don't have the time for it, as adapting to high school and the MUCH larger amounts of homework (and stupid after school band practice) pretty much take up all of my time.

Dudes - I haven't even posted in here yet and I come to read it and find I've been nominated lol. I'm flattered I am and not sure how to respond - thanks for the nomination. Concerning my ability to be an editior though I'm on everyday of the week but not my usual 24/7. I don't have access to the forum at work during the day but I can send out emails - not sure how that would work and weekends I'm here practically all day. If I had to say I'd pick Kate over me lol. But yes - it's up to you guys - I want the best for the paper in the end - so whatevers best is find by me.

Saw that my name was mentioned as one who has been here a lot and yeah, that was true until today (school started). I'll take a smallish job, hehe. I would love to be editor and was suprised and pleased to see my name mentioned somewhere lol but school's going to take up most of my time again *sigh*

However, I've got some religious holidays coming up within the next few weeks and I may not be on as often...and it's very busy at work now, too. After labor day and all that. Besides, I usually prefer not to be in charge. I nominate Kate as well. ^^

I called Kate this morning to ask her...but it's still like 8:45 here so I'm sure she is still in the land of sleep....but I am positive she will be more than happy to accept the position. I will make her get on here asap...if they've already taken the computer down...I will let you all know her answer. Yay!

EDIT: I spoke to Kate and she would love to be our editor! Yay!!! She will be on later...but is right now in the middle of moving. Yay again!

Sounds good - lol hopefully we can get a large majority done today but just curious - what sorts of jobs will be open to give out for this?

Thanks for the vote for editor! I really appreciate it, even though this week has been crazy for me with the move and my father-in-law's hopitalization.

Okay, I have updated the list- Ame is assitant editor coz she's already done a lot of the work for me! XD

kjmut and Lilyflower are on Arts and Entertainment, Puppet Master is Travel and Leisure Writer, June is our Creative Editor, Lily is our Sports Editor- which is very fitting since most of the wizards sports world revolves around quidditch, and the capable streams is on classifieds. June, I also signed you up for a Main News writer.

I really think this is going to work out, and I am excited to get this project started! Tonight I will assign some of the tasks if they have not been claimed, but it's just to get the ball rolling.

The list has been updated. Points to address:

Jenn- I would like comics to be HE bases (as the newspaper will have a hogwarts/he feel to it) However, you do not have to draw the actual comics out, we can figure something out!

Ginny, yes, Living and Community is HE based.

June, we will have a news room meeting to toss around ideas for news stories.

Streams, Etta just switched to a titanium bat, I wonder if she's looking to list her old gold bat? XD

Me or Ame will be in touch with each of you individually, and Elfie will be starting a thread for us.

I still need positions filled, and I want to get Elfie the list tomorrow. So if you haven't signed up, please do. Otherwise a position will be assigned to you, remember this is a creative task, so all of the jobs can be as fun as we make them.

Streams.... hmmmm, I might have a used foe glass to sell... either it doesn't work or I have no enemies. If it is broken, it can still be used as a mirror...

Hum I dunnot exactly what I'd do with this but both Crime Reporter or Politics Writer seems rather interesting xD
