Journal of Eris Baggins
I met with merlin today. We spoke about the future of wizard kind and decided to aid the wizarding community by setting up a council. Myself and Corrina and her sister Halla and Husband Dwailin have agreed to aid with the preparations.

Meanwhile, Corrina is blooming. The baby should arrive soon, a brother or sister for Narik. We hope that they will someday both attend Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardy - Merlin believes little Narik is already showing great signs of talent.

The goblins are also beginning to revolt as are the giants. It seems that a war may be brewing and I forsee changes for the future, though what changes, I can not tell.

I was chosen to play on the quidditch team - finally! I have the chance of the beater position and can't wait. My enemy Liko is a chaser for Gryfindor and I can't wait to accidently toss the bludger his way a few times.

Dumbledore took me aside earlier today and spoke to me personally about my 'behaviour'. What does the old fool expect from a Slytherin. The sooner Snape takes over the school the better.

Dwailin Got sorted into Gryffindor - the traitor. I know mum will be pleased though I am sure that dad will be annoyed. Dwilin has let the family down!

3. Family Blood line information (Wasn't sure exactly what you meant by this, hope I got it right. XD)

The Nittrells were Muggles nearly as far as Grandpa Nittrell can recall, except for one great-aunt named Jane. As far as Grandpa Nittrell knew, Jane went mad when she was just a child, about 11. She was sent away to an insane asylum so that she could be taken proper care of. Of course this was way before Grandpa was born and he used to think it was just a nonsense story. He never met his great-aunt Jane.

The Bloominghams were a 'new' halfblood family because Viola Bloomingham, née Switch, was a Muggleborn; and Chester was a half-blood. The Bloomingham family has been mixing blood for generations, their blood hasn't been pure since the late 1700's.

Jackson Nittrell (Joel's dad):

I have a feeling John is conducting business dishonestly. I gave the poor boy a job at my factory because I felt badly for him, what with his mum and dad gone, and me not wanting him to end up on the streets. But of course his mum was ill from way back when and she never taught him proper morals.

He is 24 now, but with the principles of a 15 year old. I sometimes wonder if he is mentally ill. He is extremely talented with numbers--he did in one week the books I had been working on for the past few months. And yet, I wonder. Is it normal for someone to be so quick, so brilliant?

But all this was just quiet stirrings of doubt, when my customers started complaining. Of course, there are always complaints, now and again...but Mr. Siebard claims he was charged too much, and the good man NEVER complains. There is nothing else for it--I shall have to confront John sometime soon. But oh! How I wish things had turned out differently...

Eddy J. Nittrell:

Went off into the forest today and came back with a stash of food. Oswelia was impressed, though of course the food didn't actually come from the forest. I snuck down to the kitchens earlier, asked for the food, went to the forest, hid it there with some good cover-up spells to hide the smell so that animals shouldn't be attracted to it, and then I appeared with the food later on.

Oswelia's mouth was wide open. I swear it was touching the rug in the common room. She was stammering and muttering and nearly threw a tantrum. She was watching the whole thing from the window, incredulous, but now she's lost the bet and she has to try and bewitch McGonagall tomorrow.

She should never have agreed, McGonagall is SO gonna give her a million detentions. Not to mention a severe bawling out. Ah well, it's her problem, not mine. Let her keep that in mind the next time she attempts to gamble with the mighty EDDY J. NITTRELL!

It used to be Joel and Marianne's, as is evident by the fantastic garden. But they moved out when they got older and the house became too large for their liking. It had to be tweaked magically though, because Joel and Marianne liked their Muggle conveniences while they lived there. The garden does have many magical plants though. Marianne loved plants no matter where they were from, as long as they didn't interfere with the radio or TV.

10. What does your characters name and their family name mean?

Eddy Joel Nittrell--his name is Edmund and Joel after his grandpa. Edmund--means 'rich protector'. Nittrell was the name of the village in eastern Europe from which Grandpa's ancestors fled, sometime in the mid 1600's. They took the name of their village rather than their family name because they were escaping the law at the time.

Pandora's Father (Ekachakra)

My daughter Pandora has married a pure blood, unlike my other daughter Acacia who I have disowned. How dare she betray her family blood line by marrying that blood traitor. I would have guessed it from Pandora at one point but she proved herself worthy of the family name.

Acacia is also pregnant with that mud bloods child. I shall not allow my wife to see them, although she begs. I shall not rub hands with the blood traitor.

Pandora is 20 now and she is the apple of my eye. I shall never disown her. She has married true and her children shall be raised true also.

I managed the simple transfiguration test today and think I came out tops. McGonagal seemed happy with my attempts anyway, and at least it gets my older brother off of my back from saying I am so behind all the time.

Bae is slightly scary at times. He left Hogwarts to work in Gringotts - if you ask me, he is more Goblin than wizard. I am worried that he is mixing with the wrong crowd.

They say that Voldemort is back. Bae seems pleased with this which is frightening. I heard him and my dad argue last night and then Bae stormed out clutching his arm. I am worried that he has joined them...

Hainsworth is Origin Anglo-Saxon Locality. The farm or place in the forest or grove, from haine, German and Saxon, a wood, and worth, a place inclosed, cultivated. British and Welsh, the estate on the river.
Netherwood means the lower wood.

Family Blood Line Information:
The O’Malley family is a pure-blood family originally hailing from the South of Ireland. Although they are quite fond of Muggles and their ways, and readily accept anyone into their home, they are quite proud of their pure-blood heritage. Vernon O’Malley was the proudest man ever to be seen the day his son, Louis, married Petra as it meant their pure-blood line was to continue for yet another generation. The Nash family was equally as proud, as their only daughter Petra was to carry on their own pure line and marry into another pure-blood family. Currently Chase O’Malley is engaged (though his parents believe he is too young), to one Camile Lakeson, who hails from an American pure-blood family. It seems the O’Malleys will continue to be a pure-blood family for the foreseeable future. All members of the family have been placed into the house of Slytherin at Hogwarts.

Today is a joyous day. Marlene has blessed us with our first child. A boy who will someday carry on the O’Malley name. We shall call him Vernon, after my dear brother who passed almost 3 years ago now. He is beautiful, with the blackest of hair and bright blue eyes. A pure-blood child – never shall the O’Malley line be tainted. He will make us proud.

My child is what being a wizard is all about. Not like the Giddens family. Just last month they welcomed a half-blood into their home, branding our small community as some kind of Muggle-loving half-breeds. It escapes me why some Wizards chose to set up home with a muggle or half-blood. Why do they insist on wiping out pureblood lines ?

I will never understand it, but I won’t let it bother me at this moment in time. I am content with my new son and will eagerly await the day he joins us with another pureblood family.

The Journal of Kayla O’Malley
Well, I’m back at home for Summer. As much as I love seeing my Mum and Dad again, I really miss being at Hogwarts. I’m a little scared that we won’t be allowed to return after the holidays though. There are lots of rumors around that the Dark Lord has returned. My Mum has told me not to pay any attention to them, but my brothers say that we should prepare for the worst. Chase believes that another war is coming, and that scares me. But I guess all we can do is carry on living our lives t the moment.

Chase is waiting on his exam results. I bet he’s passed them with flying colors – he’s really smart. A lot smarter than Frederic. Mum and Dad are starting to get really annoyed at Frederic – he keeps acting up in school and seems to be constantly on detention with McGonagall. They keep telling me to follow in Chases’ footsteps and make sure I work hard in school. And I do try. I love Charms, it’s my favourite subject and I always get top marks in it!

I just hope we can return to Hogwarts. I’ve only been there for two years and I don’t want it to end so soon!

The O'Malley Manor has been i nthe family since the 1800's when the first batch of O'Malleys moved from Ireland to south-east England. Petra and Louis decided that after moving in they would completely gut the place out to have a slughtly more modern feel. They employ a Muggle gardener who keeps the gardens looking fantastic - although there is a charm place on the poor fellow to prevent him from remembering doing the gardens.
Shown are just a select few of the rooms inside to show how modern the place now looks. The two bedrooms shown are those of Louis & Petra and Kayla. Kayla is quite fond of the colour pnik and so her bedroom is completely this colour.
Also shown are the kitchen and lounge - both of which look fresh and new.

Character & Family name:
Kayla: Wanting an original name for her only daughter, Petra O’Malley decided on the name Kayla. Louis wanted to name her Philipa, but Petra deemed this too old-fashioned. The name means ‘Beloved’ in Gaelic, a language spoken by Louis’ own Grandparents.
O’Malley: The O’Malley surname is a Gaelic name and has been the name of this family for as long as can be remembered. The name means gentle and smooth – things that this family have come to be. Earlier generations have not been as gentle, however the way the family stands today, is one of the most gentle families within the Slytherin house.

Family Blood line information
Nathaniel is from a pure-blood family as far back as his family tree can count, something that he holds great pride in. Don’t worry, he isn’t prejudice against any other blood type, but it’s something he enjoys to trot out for the simple fun of it, he’s actually quite fascinated about how magic is kept in the family, considering how his cousin was a squib. Jennifer, his wife, was a pureblood as well. Their son, Cal, met and married Elizabeth Killingston, who ended up being a muggleborn (her parents were quite amazed at how their family had no magic as far back as they could remember), thus having half-blood children-Stanley, Charlotte, Evan, and Sky. At first, The Clevelands were a bit put out that their family tree was ruined, but as time went on, they grew rather attached to the Killingstons, and occasionally go over to each other’s houses for nice games of Parcheesi.

Today Nate showed his first sign of magic! As Catherine was setting down the stew for dinner, Nate clambered in his high chair for a bowl of the stuff, which we have not yet allowed him to eat as Catherine says that the ingredients, specifically the medicinal unicorn hair. So, Catherine gently made him calm down, and told him that although he was a big boy, he would much rather eat his special soup with the centaur shaped noodles. Well, you’d be surprised how much Nate reminded me of Catherine when she was annoyed. He squeezed his little fists together as his face grew red, and then he founded them on the table, shouting nonsense words. And I’ll be a flobberworm if my bowl of stew didn’t lift up off of the table, soar over Catherine’s head, and promptly plop down onto Nate’s high chair.

I’m going to copy this entry and send it to mum and dad, they’ll be ecstatic to hear about this, indeed, they’ve been asking to know ever since Nate was born. They seem to think that a baby can do magic as soon as he opens his eyes, despite knowing that is clearly not the case. It is my belief they just want to brag to their neighborhood friends about what powerful grandchildren they have.

I completely cannot get over this momentous day…Catherine and I can hardly believe he showed so early-his brother Charles didn’t show until he was two, and Nate is barely 18 months. It seems as though our boys are already showing signs of competition.

I just got back from the Halloween Ball at Hogwarts, it wasn’t as fun as last year, but maybe I’m just sad that Brandon didn’t show up.

…Ugh. Now I’ll have to hide this book tonight extra well, because if Alisa ever found out that I’ve got a crush on Brandon stinking Black…I’m pretty sure I would never, ever, hear the end of it. I suppose I partly can blame myself…after all, I’ve been denying wanting to have anything to do with him, so if I so much as mention him in a positive light, it attracts attention. Oh well, I suppose I can handle it.

…..Gah, I’ve smudged the ink because Margaret started talking in her sleep and startled me. I don’t even wanna know what “Mumblenimble…let me kiss…purple hippos indeed…” has to do with whatever kind of dream she’s having. And besides, speaking of dreams, I’d like to have a few of those myself…Good night.
