I liked the movie. Now, I've never read the book, so I can't compare to it, but I thought that it was fairly well put together. I thought they could have spent more time explaining the Seeker's powers, but I suppose they think most people have read the book or something

Possibly and it was quite a big book so there was a lot of things to put into it. The book does go into more detail.

Yes, it's rare for a movie to live up to the books. But I did like the special effects in this movie. Although the family reminded me of the Weasleys. Alex and I were cracking out Harry Potterisms all the way through it! lol lol
