Some things to think about when planning:

-The roles everyone will play
-How much content you want per issue
-What the content will be
-Graphics used
-Set yourself a deadline

You don't need to follow the structure of previous editions - this is a reinvention!

It would be good if the first edition were ready in time for Christmas!

Right, i agree with Amy on this one, it WOULD be nice to have the first edition ready for Christmas so why not set a deadline for sometime around the 15th December, that way there'd be about a week to pull everything together, and make any last minute changes, then it can be dropped/released on 18th/19th Dec.

Also, i have a question, a stupid question, but its still a question. Ive forgotten my question.

Wait, i remember, its about roles. Oh yes! What is everyones roles? Shall we have ONE Editor and a Deputy Editor just to keep everyone in check and make sure everyone is keeping to their deadlines?

DIBS ON AN OFFICE!!!!! Seriously, i'll need somewhere safe to put down all of my ideas and ramblings, my pc gets like formatted every other week its so broken lol, so if no one objects *watches a tumbleweed roll on through*

I just ahd a thought.

We should have a "NEWSROOM" so that we can al post news, no matter how significant it is, and ideas which we ourselves may not be able to run with (think plot bunnies!)

and, aww bless you polly, but i didn't actually do anything on the old pensieve except write Ettie Skeeter articles and take the mick out of staff members, which i still plan on doing xD NO ONE IS SAFE FROM ME!

did i mention i REALLY want to keep Ettie Skeeter alive and mocking people?

I've opened a thread where we can all post random bits of news, and anyone who'd like to turn them into full-fledged stories can go ahead and do just that. Sorry if I shouldn't have, but I hate standing around and TALKING about doing something as opposed to just DOING it.

Oh and I think Ettie would make a great editor too, as soon as she stops dropping random bits of tumbleweed wherever she goes.

Seriously, that girl has like tumbleweed GROWING on her. XD

EDIT: Oh, and I'm SO glad my plea for points was accepted. Even more points than I'd dared hope for... *huge grin*

And ... and... i nominate Streamies for editor! Because i know she can do, she is my partner in crime when it comes to murdering caring for all those Hufflepuffs.

Oh and June, what kind of interviews are you thinking of doing?

We need someone to report on Quidditch and the race for the house cup, I'd not mind doing the House cup article, i have a running idea in my head atm for one. *looks at streamies* its very shall we say MOTIVATING *smirks*

Ooh great ideas. Ettie, June did this great interview with Harry Potter for the School's Out Newspaper. So June if you wanna continue doing that it'd be awesome. You can also occasionally throw in an HE interview. XD

I like the idea of movie reviews section, I add that we should have a book review as well.

What about an editorial? Like have members submit editorials like they do on mugglenet?

That could work...I'm thinking maybe we should have Amy open a thread in the Notice Board or somewhere so that members of the site could contribute. I also need to make an announcement somewhere that I'm doing an advice column. XD

And also, since i work within the fashion retail industry i can tell everyone and anyone what is the latest "trends" at the moment, Head Office sent our shop a huge pack on Saturday stating what is hot etc lol.

Well, one which will more than likely get ppl arguing is the war in Iraq and Afghanistan.

But we could also take a celeb story like Britney spears losing her kids, or how the portaguise police have more then likely messed up on the whole Maddie McCann case

I'd really like to continue the interviews, and I think that's a great idea to include members of HE!

RP article sounds cool, maybe do it as an interview with some of the rp's on the site.

Also, guys we need to agree on a DeadLine AND the editoral team thingy.
