Hospital Wing

Shadow lay back, absentmindedly putting a hand on her injured side.

Natalie sighed.

"I think I'll write to my parents," she said, summoning some parchment and a quill from her dorm, and began to write.

Shadow and Raven talked quietly in their dimension's language.

"Hmm," said Hayley. "I think I'll do the same, as Natalie," and as Natalie did, she summoned parchment and a quill, and began to write, lost in her thoughts.

Dear Mum, Dad and Jane,
Have learned alot this term and as always, I'm studying hard. The Professors are all as nice as usual, with the usual exeption of Professor Snape, who continues to punish me when I hand in an overlong essay or hand a homework in too early.
But not only have I learned alot in my magical education, I have also grown as a friend to all who show kindness towards me; Shadow, Raven, Holly, Hayley, Eliza, Jamie and other such people that I've told you about before, but as always, I continue to worry about there safety. But I'm happy to enform you that they are all safe and well...well...more or less.
The Hogsmeade weekend was fabulous, and as always, for you Jannie, I will enclose your favourite Honeydukes candy.
I have sent this letter, as always, with one of the school owls, so even if you do not send a letter, send the owl back as it isn't mine.

That was what Natalie wrote.

Shadow watched them, and Raven handed her a quill and parchment.
"Send a letter to your guardian."

Natalie smiled at her completed letter.

Shadow began to write her letter.

Natalie listened the the scrathing of quills and moaning of patients for a brief moment, then summoned her schoolbag and starting into some homework.

Shadow continued to write a (very) long letter in the runite language of her dimension.

Natalie did her ancient Runes homework, which was translating a text about medievel wizards.

Shadow looked up.
"Need a hand?" She asked.

Holly snorted.
"NatNerd is the smartest person you will EVER meet....if she needs help.....I need....a new.....monkey,"
She stopped, wandering if what she had said would sound rude.
"Sorry,"

Shadow nodded and smiled slightly, continuing to write her letter.

"Who ya writing to?" Holly asked nosily. Her being nosey and all that.

"My guardian." Shadow replied.

Holly frowned thoughtfully.
"Cool," she said after a moment, "Maybe I should write to my foster people.....havent written to them since Christmas.....oh well,"
George frowned at her.
"I think she should probably let them know youre happy....and that youve made some friends.....they might be worried!"
"Aye," Holly said, "They might,"

Hayley finished her letter and tied it to Elliot's leg. She walked over to the window, and he flew off. "Hmm," she said. "I have Potions homework.....aw well, I've grown to love detention," she laughed.

Natalie smiled.

"Thats my line," Holly said annoyed.
Riley laughed.
"It is actually," he said, suddenly serious.

Natalie finished her ancient Runes work and started on her Muggle Studies work.

"Nerd," Holly conceled in a cough, whilst George grinned and Riley laughed.

Shadow rolled up her letter, and looked out of the window.

Natalie smiled.

Holly smiled bravely. This whole "lets flirt with Riley" thing was going well.

Shadow looked around her friends.

"Holly....invite him to Hogsmeade, will you?" Natalie asked Holly.

"Trying to decide who you like the most?" Holly guessed grinning at Shadow. SHe lowered her voice. "Me isnt it?"

Shadow allowed a smile to cross her face.
"There is no preference." She said.

"Suuuuuuure," Holly said and winked.
Riley grinned.

Shadow rolled her eyes.

"I think thats a yes," George voiced, whilst Holly rolled her eyes back.
"So....you coming to Hogsmede on Saturday?" Riley asked looking at the ground.
Holly glanced about.
"Me?" she asked eyebrows raised.
"Yeah," Riley said.
"Um...,"

"What you guys talkin' about?" Natalie asked suspiciously.

"George, if you go into my head to find out, I swear that I'll send you to another dimension." Shadow warned.

Natalie smiled. She believed she was better not knowing.

Holly nodded to Riley and then turned to Shadow.
"I didnt think of that," she said honestly,and mouthed something at George.

"That wasn't an empty threat." Shadow said.

Georges smile faded and he crawled back to hide behind Holly and Riley.
"I promise i wont," he said, scared.
"You scared my monkey," Holly said, using a sentence she had never used before, "Thou shalt pay!"
Holly whipped out a brown wallet and held out her hand.
"One sickle please,"

Shadow raised an eyebrow.
"At least I warned him."

"You can't fine Shadow," said Natalie, though she was amused.

"I can and I will," Holly said grinning, "Seriously Shadow, one sickle, I dont care how ill you are you scared my monkey!"

((Kidding as usual))

"Sorry, but do you see any pockets on this armor?" Shadow asked, gesturing to the vambraces and greeves she was still wearing.

Natalie laughed at Shadows panic.

"Maybe I do," Holly said raising one eyebrow, "Maybe I dont. Either way. One sickle. You scared my monkey."

"One galleon," said Natalie, putting out a hand to Holly, "you scared my Shadow."
Natalie laughed.

Holly gave Natalie a look.
Riley stood up and held his hand out to Natalie.
"You trillion galleons, you made my Holly think,"

Shadow gave a howl-like laugh, which was soon replaced by a hiss of pain. She put a hand to her wounds.

"Ok...lets stop....are you ok Shad?" Natalie asked.

"Stoppings good," Holly and Riley said in unison, and sat at the exact same time. THey then looked at each other grinning.
George came out.
"Lets be friends again Shadow," he said.

"Hi again George," said Natalie
