Teen Hospitalized Over Blog

He's accused of attacking a 15-year old classmate inside a High School. The prosecutor says the boy was attacked from behind and slammed into a locker, "In addition, the defendant then picks up the victim and essentially body slams him down into a hard tile floor."

The 15-year-old suffered serious head injuries. C's attorney, Rob German, says it should have never escalated to this point. He says these two teens and their friends have been feuding for months, "This was not something that came out of the clear blue."

German says this all started shortly after one of their classmates, Ben P., died in an ATV accident. He says apparently there was a derogatory comment made about P. on a MySpace.com page.

German says, "So, it festered and threats were made back and forth on the internet, on my space accounts and my client was threatened and his family was threatened."

The police say there have been at least 3 fights between the groups in the past several months. But, in the most recent incident, investigators say there is video of C. assaulting the other teen.

As police continue to review the video, the 15-year old is in the hospital in the intensive care unit, in serious condition.

Because this actually happened in my high school, I changed some things so that it'd follow the site rules.

But honestly I know the kid who it happened to, Joe, and I find this really horrible. Also it's divided our whole school. Some people saying that Joe deserved what he got because he started it first.

Either way it's horrible that things like this happen over stupid things like myspace. It's just another example of how badly things can go with that site.

...But I don't understand your dig at myspace. Myspace was just another way for them to communicate their feelings, just another medium of speaking, just another way to insult one another. If they'd have made derogatory comments over the phone, would people be blaming the telephone?

After all, he didn't throw him into the lockers using myspace, did he?

No he didn't. That's just how everyone is taking it however, like it was Myspace's fault. And I suppose that's how I've just been taught to see it right now. *shrugs*
