Capricorn, The Goat, is the sign of the achiever. Once Capricorns overcome their shy and reserved nature, they can be terrific partners. They are naturally introverted and cautious but they are definitely faithful when it comes to a relationship. A partner who is very supportive of them emotionally and generous in giving them the very much needed confidence boost is what the Capricorn needs.

One of the best things of being a Capricorn is their sense of humor. It is most of the time the trait that restores order to their worlds. No matter how subtle their humor is, it involves contact and interaction with other people although it is self-contained. Capricorns are best in things that most other signs (except fellow earth signs) are weak at. Capricorns are also prudent, reliable, perservering, determined, ambitious, careful, and hard working.

The bad thing about Capricorns would be their extremely rigidness, pessimism, and often depression in interacting with other people. They also tend to be emotionally cold and inhibited at some times. They are also not very open to spontaneous activities that may cause a drastic change in their usual style of living. They are most of times gloomy and depressed when dealing with others. They tend to take control of the situation that often results to them being authoritarian. The prudent and cautious side of their nature can be taken to extremes resulting in the unsociable realm of the miser. Other undesirable traits of Capricorns are harsh, ruthless, cold, over exacting, way too conventional, miserly, and a wet blanket to enthusiasm.

Capricorns are most compatible with the star signs of Cancer, fellow Capricorns, Scorpios and Aquarius. Most of them cannot get along with Libras, Geminis, Sagittarius, Leos, and Aries. Their complete opposites are the Cancerians.

Some known Capricorns are Dick Whittington, Mao Tse Tung, Nostradamus, Isaac Newton, Richard Nixon, David Bowie, Kate Moss, Isaac Asimov, Muhammed Ali, Marilyn Manson, and George Burns.
