| I do believe that it will all end one day.... For one thing i have a religious mind about it also... Also I had a science teacher say that one day the sun will burn out because there wouldnt be enough gasses on it so if there isnt a sun to warm our planet then how will live continue on. Many might say that by then we will of had came up with a solution to this promblem but I believe that even if they did that this soltution would no last very long. | |

| Personally I think many 'disasters' will build up and on one final day, the world will just end because of the disasters. If anyone have watched the movie 'the day after tomorrow' those disasters are what I mean. Maybe the first week we'll have extreme flood, the next week we'll have a blizzard 24/7. But all in all, the disasters will happen all around the world and on one final day, the world cannot take all the stuff happening on it and earth will just collapse. | |

| Alright, I have my own personal religious beliefs in here. So I apologize if it offends anyway.
Alright, I don't know if all the unvierse will come to and end. That part I'm still strongly unaware of, it all depends, but the world will come to an end eventually. I believe that, mostly because of my religion. I'm not sure how it will come to an end, as there are so many predictions about it. But I know that I do strongly believe that an end will come. And when it does, I think I'd rather be dead then actually be here. Once again that's got to do with religion, because of two things I'd rather be dead. One, if I'm not rotting away in Hell I think that it'd be an interesting, and horrifying event to be watching. Also, I don't think that the end of the world would be a plesent thing to be there for. So I think that I'd rather just not be there when the world comes to an end.

| I'm not really sure how I feel about this but here it goes.
I just want to point out that the World is not the whole universe. There aer many things behind the Earth and I am not sure that the whole universe will ever be fully dimished. "The Universe is everything that physically exists" from Wikipedia. This includes everything beyond this galaxy through eternity. This is really hard to answer because I don't think the universe ends. I've always seen it as something that just goes on forever and ever.
I don't think it ends or has any boundries whatso ever. Therefore, I don't think it could ever really end. I mean parts of it could certainly be destroyed and recreated or just disappear but the universe as a whole could never fully be eliminated.

| Ahem before we begin I need to get this out of the way.
*Brings hand to her face* “It’s the final countdown, dun dun dun.”
Ahem sorry and now to the real thing.
I personally think that one day the whole world is just going to go pop. Well not quite like that but I think that one day the whole world will be destroyed. Because of the rate of pollution being used the o-zone layer is currently being ruined whilst we speak. If this continues it inevitably will ware down the o-zone layer and the sun rays will come down and we will all melt. Not only that but we are also killing the world with our new technology. Right now as I’m typing this I am adding to the mass of pollution that is going on. Not to mention if I leave my TV on standby. Were all killing the penguins SAVE THE PENGUINS! Were all destroying the world and when we come home from school go into the kitchen turn the light on and come out the move to the living room put the TV on and go on your lap top wilst the house lights are all on is really just killing the world. Yet to us this is all perfectly natural. Yet this is not a lecture on global warming but that it what is going to happen. And yes I know we are trying to do things by ‘going green,’ but even the big go green people are adding to this. Only this morning did I see a ‘go green’ van driving around trying advertise by catching people’s eyes, if that’s not wasting resources then I don’t know what is. The answer is really staring us in the face, if we want to save the world then we will have to get rid of all technology, though of course that will not happen and we will continue to make more and more things making the world in much more of a bigger state. All the billions of people that are on a computer now are adding to this and it is only a matter of time before the o-zone layer will ware down and we will either go pop or melt. Take your pick. So yes there is a ‘final countdown’ though of course will we not know the date that it will happen and we will not even be alive when it happens so that is why I think many people are still ignoring the thing that the earth is either going to pop or melt in many years to come.

| The End Will Come
As time went on, people natural guessed the world would end. Why you ask?? That’s a good question. Let me do some research.
Through the years prophesiers have predicted several prophecies about the world coming to an end. Some examples are the millennium and end of the world; this however if quite funny as none of them have come true.
The main reason for all the predictions about year 2000 was because it had 3 zeros. That pretty much was the main reason. And the world was going to end up in the Stone Age all over again. This never happened. Hence I wouldn't be able to type right now.
Christians however believe that the end of the world will happen; due to the bible. The last chapter Revelation is apparently the stone marker for the world coming to an end. When this chapter is carried out, plague, floods, famine and even death becomes a clear sign of what is to come.
That being said, I however do believe that the world is coming to an end. This does not mean right now, but sometime in the future. The main reason is either going to be by some greater power such as GOD or by humankind. We in the end will destroy the earth and everyone or everything in it.
Lets face it. Everything comes to an end in life and death. We were formed through life and will die in life. The earth is made on the same matter in which we were created. No matter what your belief is or faith, death is inevitable.

| First off, the universe by some definition is “everything that exists anywhere”. If being so then if it ever did end it would also end all religious places such as Heaven and Hell. If it did it would surely disprove some religions such as Christianity since God is said to be all-powerful and nothing is supposedly greater than him and I doubt he would let that happen, nor any other deity. So if the world can end then it first of all proven that nothing is all powerful and disproves pretty much every religion I can think of. I have yet to choose a stable theory or religion since I am someone who tends to think on millions of different ones. Personally I can not picture the end of the universe since it goes beyond my thought capacity. However I can picture the end of the world. The movie Titan A.E. seems very probable in the sense that Earth ends and we possibly have good enough technology to live in outer space. The world is one place and not everything thus making it an easier concept to grasp it where destroyed instead. Now I am sure many of you have heard of the Mayan calendar theory the world ending in 2012, on December 21 to be exact. Another thing, which in a sense corresponds with the Mayan calendar theory, is that every 26,000 years there is an alignment between the December solstice sun and the Milky Way galaxy. This will next happen on December 21, 2012. This is pretty much why the Mayan’s chose this end date to their calendar of 5,000 or so years length. From this date many people have decided it will be the end. But as some scholars such as James O’Dea, President of the Institute of Noetic* Sciences (IONS), I believe it is not the end of the world, or possibly the universe, but instead a rebirth. Now a rebirth can happen in different ways. First off it can be destruction of the world, but with survivors or possibly completely new people. I mean we showed up some how out of what I suppose is nowhere, so who is to say it won’t happen again. In other words a partial or total rebirth of earth, or the universe, itself. Like a start over at the beginning or close to the beginning. Second, it could be a new age of enlightenment, or a sort of harmony of the world. Complete peace isn’t possible of course unless there is nothing, but it is possible to have a serenity over the world. Now for those who have seen the movie Serenity, you can probably better understand my following theory of sorts. In the movie River has a sort of vision, or dream, of her being younger and in a class where society seems to be perfect. Of course it does have a darker sense to it. It has a feeling of the erasing of emotions in my perspective. Without emotions I believe we could live in a sort of peace because there would be no anger or fear. Also it would make killing seem alright. I do not believe killing is right but without emotions would any of us see it as wrong? When you see someone die your reaction is triggered by emotion so if there was no emotion you would not react and just walk by as if nothing happened. But also there is a possibility of just stopping everything because there is no point to anything resulting in a population just doing absolutely nothing. Two other ideas of the end are global warming and of course a disastrous war. Global warming is something that is being more and more talked about lately with the movie The Day After Tomorrow and Al Gore’s An Inconvenient Truth. I happened to watch The Day After Tomorrow (TDAT) today and find the entire concept of the movie believable except the rapid recovery at the end of the movie. I personally see it lasting at least a month to a year rather than about a week or two. As for Al Gore’s documentary, I found it quite interesting and a bit terrifying, as with the events in TDAT. Global warming, in my opinion, is a serious matter. There is no need to end the world sooner than it should. As for war, I find it very possible. Humans kill and it is quite possible it will get to the point where we all die. World War III may be approaching and it could lead to disaster with all of this explosive technology at our exposal. These two theories are logical and preventable, but of course mankind will probably do nothing to prevent it. And last of my theories of tonight will be that of overpopulation. This has been one I have been thinking of ever since I started reading the Shadow Children series. It starts out with Among the Hidden which explains there is a two child limit to all families, in other words a population control law. Any child who has two older siblings or more is known as a shadow child and is illegal. As much as I hate the concept of limiting children and killing those who are illegal, I have to say it is a rational ruling, even if it is cruel. Population increases more and more each day and the earth only has so much room. Unless other planets become inhabitable or we find an effective living environment with more room, we will have to deal with overpopulation. A population control law is an effective way to deal with this no matter how much I disagree with it. Anyways, overpopulation can lead to less plant life due to more land needed for living. This will lead to famine and of course with all the water we drink, possibly a draught. That of course can lead to death and the end of human kind. Now with all that said, what are all your opinions of my warped mind’s opinions on the matter? Sources: Serenity (excellent movie) The Day After Tomorrow (another great movie) An Inconvenient Truth (a fascinating documentary) http://www.december212012.com/ | |
