Holiday Headbangers - Chaser

Aliza rushed on to the pitch - she was the first person to arrive and was glad of it. She missed the first game and was really ashamed! She mounted her broom and flew up in to the air, glad to be there again. And she loved the Holiday Quidditch - its was such a welcome relief from the stress of House Quidditch. xD

As she was waiting in the air she remembered the games from last year. They were absolutely comical. She wondered if this game would be even half as fun. Last time, she spent half the game making out with the gorgeous Milo Ventimiglia.

(Team four - Chaser)

Wooohooo, second game of Holiday Quidditch!, Cris thought merrily while sprinting towards the locker rooms. She got dressed, grabbed her fluffiest cap, that said "4", yellow on red, as a sign that she belonged to team 4 but was a Gryffie, grabbed her broom that she had hanged some bells to, and went outside.

"Hey there, Mum!", she shouted. "Are we the only ones? Awww maaaan...". Hoping nevertheless that the others would appear soon, she got an idea. "Maybe they'll come if they see some pretty fireworks," she reasoned and took out her wand. Since she had done the fireworks over at the Gryffie Spirit Month in December, she still had some pretty ones in her pocket, which she dug out and layed on the ground right next to the entrance to the pitch. She wasn't worried about them hurting the players either, since they were based on magical-non-harm-fire, but they could get confusing during the game.. oh well, who knew, maybe some Seeker started chasing fireworks instead of the Snitch... she chuckled at the thought.

Muttering a spell that would keep the fireworks exploding during the whole game, she started them - wooohooo, they were of all possible colours, in all sizes and shapes! Unfortunately they couldn't be seen so well at daylight, so, hoping that her student-magic was strong enough, Cris shouted "Nox!", pointing at the sky over the pitch and indeed... well, almost. The sky wasn't quite as black as she had wanted, because light from the areas untouched by the spell was shining through, but it was ok - dark enough to see the fireworks and light enough to play, just like a late afternoon.

"Ummm...round 2?? Why wasn't I informed?" Streams growled, loping onto the field in a terrible hurry. She didn't seem to notice that an owl was perched on her head. "What are YOU all laughing at?" she grumbled. "People have been late before..."

With a long sigh, she straddled her broom and headed for the hoops. No nonsense. She was however surprised when a screech sounded above her head and claws dug into her skull, and she forgot to hold on tightly with her knees so that her broom flew out from underneath her and she was holding on only with her hands in a classic Starfish and Stick...

Some would say that Juliette forgets things right after you tell them to her; others would believe that she just happens to zone out often. And, both are most likely true. She had missed the first Holiday Quidditch game; claiming that she was not informed. However, we all know that she just has been zoning out quite often lately. Her hand gripped the broom, her fingers intwining with the polished wood. She began the get ready to take flight. Mounting the broom. Bending the knees. Pause.

She had been up all the night before with worry. After all, the last time she was on a broom she happened to take a Bludger; or rather the bat....to the head...even before the game had even started. She claims she had no idea how it happened. But, she did learn one thing; well two that day. A) Never give a blonde a bat and expect her not to be hospitalized. and B) Never had two Moco Latte's with French Vanilla minutes before you have to play a game of quidditch.

Bering her normal, ditzy self Juliette tried to calm herself in any way possible. Taking deep breaths, she actually almost started hypervenilating. Hmmm, maybe not that. Instead, she began to sing to herself. You know, like outloud with her tone-death voice. It was the only way she got to sleep the night before.

"Juuuuliiii in the skkky with qquuuallfflllessss."

It was of course to the tune of "Lucy in the Sky With Diamonds"; but this was more comforting then singing about a girl named Lucy that she never met. The singing and also two things helped her finally decide to take flight. A) She was not playing beater and thus did not have a bat in her hand. And B) There was a Moco Latte with French Vanilla waiting for her in the common room as soon as she was done.

So checklist: Broom mounted. Knees bent. And PUSH! She was up in the air; yet to start hypervenilating because of worry. As long as she did not have to touch a bat again, Juliette may live. However, some may contradict that. Her eyes quickly scanned the arena trying to see what everyone else happened to be doing: and what exactly she should be doing as of this moment.
