With a site like H.E. its needed to keep the username more or less the same for reasons such as knowing who you are, house points etc. Though if you really want to change it or there is a valid reason such as your username was Eva smith and you got married to john jones and wanted your username to be Eva Jones then yes. But you would have to pm elfie to see if she will change your username for your.

Yes, with a site like this where we award housepoints etc. it's not possible to have people changing usernames, as we need to keep track of who's who.

If there is a valid reason as to why your username should be changed (eg. a matter of safety), then that would be OK. If this is the case, let Elfie or I know.

Polly - people shouldn't be signing up with their surnames, so if a situation like the one you described arose, we wouldn't change someone's username to their real name anyway username 436937
