You will be allowed a maximum of 6 posts each and you may use both spells created by you and known spells from HP.

You will not be marked purely on how long your posts are, yet you will be marked on the following:

* Eye for surroundings
* Defensive and offensive spells (both what spells are used and how well they are used)
* Knowledge of spells
* Eye for detail (both your own posts and others posts)
* Inventiveness and creativeness as a whole

Please avoid one sentence posts. Try to develop your duelling posts into more than one paragraph.

Kaitlyn walked into the Dueling room and looked around. It was medium size and had Grey walls along with it being cool from lack of a fire in the fire place. She pointed her wand at the fire place and said " Inferno!" A fire burst into the fire place and it started to warm the room immediately. Kaitlyn than looked at the Grey walls and than at her blue robes.. " I need to be cameoed." She thought.. " Campono!" She said and her robes changed to match her surroundings.

After a few minuets of standing she went and conjured a chair in front of the fire place to wait for Polly. The fire was warm to her and she had great thoughts of last dueling tournament. She had a blast dueling with her friends and she couldn't wait to start back up again. Her opponent for this round was Polly. She didn't know much about Polly's approaches ,but she figured she could figure it out pretty fast. She smiled as she thought of Polly and how fun they where going to have. Hopefully she would arrive soon so the duel could start for the moment now though Kaitlyn sang a few familiar tunes and waited for polly.

Walking into the duelling room Polly looked around at her surroundings. The bleak grey walls stared back at her. There was little light coming into the room and what light that was in the room was coming from a small fire place.

Polly was dressed in a pale blue gi with small ballet slippers on her feet, only held on by the small band running across it. Her reason for choosing to wear a gi instead of robes was simply that she found she could fight better in a gi than anything else. It enabled her to do the moves she wanted quicker and easier. Though she could not hide other things with her robe.

Upon entering Polly saw that her opponent was the Hufflepuff prefect kjmut smiling tentivly at her Polly walked to the small space where she would fight. Looking down at her feet she placed her self into sitting stance. Which looks like your croutching. Instead of how sitting stance was normally done Polly had herself side on in sitting stance. Her left side facing kjmut. Her wand held across her body in her right hand.

Focussing her mind Polly remembered her qi exercises. Breathing deeply she felt all thoughts evaporate from her mind. Stepping away from the sitting stance she moved forwards on her left leg into front stance with her right leg bent. Her foot slapping hard onto the floor she cried "Expelliarmus." And waited to see the effect.

gi - The Martial arts outfits worn, you know the ones that look like PJs ^.^
qi - Its a state of mind.

Kaitlyn watched as Polly Walked in. She noticed that she was dressed in a pale blue gi with small ballet slippers on her feet. Kaitlyn stood and bowed to her dueler. She than pulled out her wand and cast the chairs way so that the floor would be clear. She held her wand tightly in her hand and watched Polly's potions , focusing only on what she had to and not thinking of anything else. Her smile had been wiped away with a look of determination. Now was time to duel and to think only of her wand and Polly's wand and what they where doing.

Kaitlyn saw Polly cast quit a fast spell and Zelda yelled " PROTEGO!!" A shield formed between the two and she held onto her wand as the spell hit. " She is fast" Kaitlyn thought as she sliced her wand and the shield disappeared. " I need a good attack." Kaitlyn thought as she pointed her wand at Polly's arm... " incidere!! ( Cut)" Kaitlyn said as she sent a spell that would cut Polly's arm and hopefully make her slower for it was her right wand arm.

The spell Polly fired had been quickly deflected. "Darn" she muttered it would have been nice to disarm her opponent straight away. Shifting her stance slightly so she was in L stance Polly hardly had time to react as a spell was fired at her, moving quickly too the side. Polly smiled in quite self satisfaction. Re-focusing her qi she sent a silent spell which shot out small arrows from her wand. All aimed at her opponent. As she held her wand firm and watched the arrows fly from its tip she let out a small gasp of pain.

Looking down Polly saw that a small cut was running on the inside of her arm, blood trickling down it. She had obviously not dodged the spell as she had thought. Wincing in pain she tried to use her qi energy to block out the rhythmatic thump of pain pulsing through her arm. Moving into her tell tale sitting stance she poised herself again. The arrows still heading towards its target she cried "Expelliarmus" in another attempt to disarm her opponent.

L stance - Where the shape of your legs is in an L. Your front leg is more or less straight and your back leg bent supporting most of you bodys weight.

Qi - a state of mind. I refer to qi energy meaning that by focusing or clearing the mind I would be putting my 'spiritual' energy into place to try and block out the pain.

Sitting Stance - Sort of like squatting. Your legs should be parallel.

Kaitlyn focused on Polly and noticed a flick of her wand ,but she didn't say anything. She didn't know what to do until she saw several small arrows flying towards her.. She fell to her knees and covered her head. Than all of the sudden a sharp pain arose in her leg and in her arm.. she looked and to her horror a arrow was sticking in on the backside of her knee here her leather armer didn't cover. She than looked at her left arm and noticed where a arrow had ripped her robes and braised her elbow joing. Knowing she was going to have to get the arrow out of her knee she quickly put up a protection shield so she wouldn't hopefully get hit. With her right hand she pulled on the arrow and pain soared threw her knee..

She still sat there for fear that she might fall if she stood up.. " Lets do something funny." Kaitlyn thought as she raised her wand and said " mellis flatus ( honey blast.). A jet of honey soared over to Polly and if hit would make her delicious and sticky. After the honey attack Kaitlyn raised her wand again and said " pluma flatus ( feather blast)". If this would hit polly after the honey it would stick to her and make her look like a ball of feathers.. Kaitlyn smiled thinking of what polly might look like.

Polly watched in horror as her arrows hit her opponent. Although they were fighting she was still Polly's friend. Breathing slightly Polly waiting for her opponent to rise before the challenge should commence. As she waited for this Polly remembered the tale that he mother used to say to her a lot. Ask a question she would say. And it was always my cue to ask 'When does a warrior strike.' She would then answer 'a warrior waits until the time is right. When the enemy sleeps and drops his guard. When his weapons lie forgotten in the stillness of the night, that is the time for a warrior to strike.' Pollys opponent was not asleep but she was lying on the floor. This would have been the correct time to attack.

As this thought crossed Polly's mind her opponent fired a spell at her, she obviously wasen't as helpless as she appeared. Jumping up into the air Polly fell into a cross stance. Her hair and arm getting splattered with the sticky substance that had been shot her way. "Yuck" she muttered whipping it of. As she was doing this Polly was oblivious to the feathers that flew her way covering her. "Nooooooo" she cried as it went all over her mixing in with the sticky substance. "Leux" Polly cried as her wand let out a blinding light, mixed with small balls of fire. On its way to the opponent the fire balls began to destroy the room they were in.

A sneer spread across Polly's face, she loved destroying things. Giggling to herself she pulled her wand over her head and cried 'Augumenta' where water gushed all over her washing away the honey and feathers. Dripping wet with water Polly moved into ready stance her wand pointing forward.

Cross stance - Cross stance is where in this case you jump and land with your legs crossed. The left foot would be flat on the ground with the right foot behind it. Only the ball of your foot should be touching with the right foot used as a sort of wedge to stop and hold the cross stance.

Ready stance - The front knee is beant forward leaning over your foot so you can't see it. The back leg straight behind you. Most of the weight is placed on your front leg. The one thats bent.

Kaitlyn watched as the honey and feathers hit her opponent.. She couldn't help but laugh. This might not have been the best spell to make her opponent slower or disarm her ,but it was funny and Kaitlyn needed that more than anything right now for she couldn't hardly walk dew to the arrow that had gone threw her knee! With all the healing charms and everything type of magic known to man nothing could beat laughter.. for they say laughter is the best medicine. After laughing a bit Kaitlyn felt better and she tried to stand up.. After this she tried to walk a bit ,but fell flat on her face.. on the ground again it was apparent that she couldn't walk. So she looked at Polly.

Kaitlyn looked to her horror again to see that fire balls where coming her way and that her opponent somehow had gotten the feathers and honey off of her.. With the fire balls coming her way she covered her self in her cloak.. she already had a protection charm up so hopefully this would work.. When she looked up she noticed that everything around her was burning.. " What does she want to do.. kill me.." She thought at the site of the two chairs by the fire in heavy flame.. She pointed her wand at her two chairs and said.. " Aquamenta!!" water shot out of her wand and hit the chairs. She did all of this without loosing site of Polly.. She smiled at the two not wet chairs and than looked at her leg.. She was still laying down and with a dull pain in her leg now.. She still couldn't walk ,but it appeared that her laughter had helped the pain. After this she noticed that part of her cloak had been singed.. " How did that happen." She thought as she get ready to attack Polly again.

Arrows ,and fire.. the easy attacks where now over. Kaitlyn aimed her wand at polly and said " levitas offendo ( Lightning strike)" . If hit Polly would shake violently and might have several burn marks to her skin. Kaitlyn watched as a bolt of lightning came from the blue and headed strait for polly.
