Welcome to the maze, Gemma!

You find yourself at the beginning of a huge maze composed of gigantic green hedges. Using your knowledge of spells, especially Charms, you must find a way out of this maze. Numerous obstacles will be presented to you and they need to be passed in order for you to move on through the maze. Tall leafy walls rise up on both sides of you. The sun shines brightly and there's nothing in sight... at the moment. Step into the maze and begin this adventure. Remember to role-play your actions, show your knowledge of spells and charms, and to be creative. Your first obstacle will follow your first post. There will be ten total challenges for you to complete before you're done.

Wow - this is a huge maze! I thought it would be a tiny little thingy one could overcome easily....

Those were the first thoughts of Gemma as she came near the Charms Maze she had signed up to get through with the help of her Charms knowledge. Checking that her wand was still sitting safe on the inside of her robes where she had tucked it, she wondered whether she should have brought further equipment other than the bottle of water and the cookies she had in her small bag. Considering the size of this maze, getting through it might take a lot of time.

Oh well, if it is necessary I can always conjure up some food and water, I suppose. So now I shall step into this giant green thing...

Taking three brave strides forward, Gemma actually entered the maze to go looking for the first obstacle.

Gemma starts to hear digging in the ground, and out of the ground by her feet pop garden gnomes. These pesky critters start grabbing onto her robes and shoes, trying to bite through.
