Direction Badge

You must complete the following to earn your badge;

1. From Entrance Hall to Defence Against the Dark Arts Classroom

Go up the Grand Staircase three floors, and take the right hand corridor five doors down. After that, you'll come to a fork - take the left, and go down it fifteen paces. Turn to the right at the ever-growing HE Family Tree painted on the wall (new family members names are automatically added), and at the end of that corridor, the classroom's door should be in front of you.

2. From Games Room to Library

The Games Room, being on the second floor, is two below the Library. Head out of the room and make your way down the corridor to the left until you reach a side staircase. Take that up to the next floor where it ends, and you should come out at a sharp corner. Turn to the right and there will be another small staircase around twenty paces away. Take that up to the next floor, and head down the corridor to the right. Keep going until you've passed The Studious Hippo (one of the many statues randomly arranged around the castle), and behind it is the door to the library.

3. From Prefects Bathroom to Hospital Wing

Situated at the top of one of the turrets, the Prefects Bathroom is a long ways away from the Hospital Wing. Head down the spiraling staircase until reaching the end at the second floor. Go down the corridor to the left until reaching the Grand Staircase (soon after the Portrait of Many Ships), and then go down that to the first floor. Head to the right of the staircase, and you should see the wing.

4. From Head of House Office to Headmistresses Office

From the Head of House Office, go down the short corridor to the statue of Frolicking Hippo in Tutu, First Study, and make a sharp right so that you are facing the wall. Tap out the beat of the school song on the wall, and a doorframe should appear in the wall. Go through and keep going for forty-seven paces. After passing the statue of Frolicking Hippo in Tutu, Second Study, there should be the entrance to the Headmistress's Office in front of you. Elfie and the Hippo will let you in if you sign up for whatever event is going on ^^

5. From the Notice Board to the Trophy Case

The Notice Board and Trophy Case are quite close to each other - most of the time, that is. The Notice Board moves around the site periodically to make sure that everyone sees its notices, so if it is not in the Trophy Case's hallway, check the entrances to the Houses, and the Community. If it's no where to be found, it's probably found its way back to its usual spot.

6. From Potions class to Examination waiting room

Make your way up from the dungeons and into the Entrance Hall, for starters. Look across the Hall. There are sixteen doors on that side, each with a different use, and some without one and waiting. The center opens into the Great Hall, so make your way there and then turn to your left so you're facing the back of the Entrance Hall. Go past four doors, and then three more, and if you've come to one with a pale purple boarder around it (to check for cheating spells on wands and quills), you're there!

7. From Gryffindor House to Slytherin House

For being "mortal enemies," it's surprising how close together these two houses are physically! (In the HE Castle, anyway.) The Gryffindors have a tower, and true, the Slytherins are in the dungeon, but it's really not that far apart. Go down the spiral staircase from Gryffindor Tower, which is the closest in to the center of the school, and you end up on the second floor. Turn right and keep going until you've reached the Grand Staircase. Go down that into the Entrance Hall, and take the third door from the back on the left hand side. Take the stairs down into the dungeon, and go on until you've reached another of the Hippo Statue Series (this one makes the entrance to Slytherin House quite obvious - it is pointing a wand, narrowing its eyes, and has been charmed green). Duck behind the silver and green banner behind it, and you're there! But only if you have the password, of course.

8. From Hufflepuff House to Ravenclaw House

These two Houses are set up similarly to Slytherin and Gryffindor's, but are located on the right side instead of the left! The Hufflepuffs are on the first floor and there's a shortcut up to Ravenclaw Tower instead of taking the Grand Staircase and a few more - from the Hufflepuff entrance, go behind the Grand Staircase and you'll find a door. Open it and you'll see you're in a - erm - hidden library. Head to the far right corner where the section of Centaurian history literature is located and pull out The Truth Revealed by Juarian. Behind it is a button - a bright red button - push it. The wall beside you will reveal a door. Go in and head up the short staircase, and you've reached the base of Ravenclaw Tower! The more obvious entrance is located near the top of the castle (those tricksy Ravens XD) to discourage other Houses from interrupting their study, but this way is taught to the firsties their first day. If you see another Hippo Statue (a robed one named The Thinker), then you're there! Not saying how to get in though ^^

9. From professors lounge to Quidditch pitch

It is a long trek from the professor's lounge to the Quidditch pitch - you've been warned! From the professor's lounge, which is located near the HoH office and Headmistress's office on the second floor, take the fittingly named Purple Hall (you'll be able to tell which it is) to the Grand Staircase (if the purple blends into blue, you've missed the staircase) and head down and out. There is a path worn down by the generations of Quidditch players and fans that leads down the hill and to the pitch. You'll be able to see it once you get outside, so you shouldn't get lost.

10. From Great Hall to Event Hall

This one's simple enough. From the Great Hall, look directly across the Entrance Hall. You should see a pair of huge doors that are decorated to reflect the current event. For example, during HEBB2 the doors are the entrance to the BB home, so isn't it fitting that they look like those doors? Walk across and head inside!

11. From Badge Burrow to Media Rooms

The Badge Burrow, which is in the dungeons (it is a "burrow," after all), is a ways away from the Media Rooms. The Media Rooms are on the sixth floor and almost directly above the Burrow. Get out of the dungeons by following the light, and take the Grand Staircase to the second floor. Go to the left, the Purple Hall, and take a quick right into the first little staircase you see. Up, up, up the stairs until you get to the sixth floor. Once there, take a breather, and then walk down the Golden Hall (which is really more of a pale yellow) until you reach a very colorful Hippo Statue - Hippo of Art - and then you're there!

12. From Debate Classroom to Hogsmeade

Now, the HE Hogsmeade is a mini replica of the actual Hogsmeade, and this one's so much easier to get to since it's on the HE grounds! The Debate Classroom is on the fourth floor, so just take the stairs down and outside. Go down the steps and the road leading up to the castle for fifty paces, and then take a right. There should be a path winding down towards the Forbidden Forest, but don't take it into the Forest - it's forbidden for a reason! Once you see a bank and the thestral racing course and the lottery shop, you're there!

13. From Battle Arena to Photography Corner

The Battle Arena and the Photography Corner - opposite skills, opposite sides. Naw, just kidding. We don't separate people because of interests! They're actually just down the hall from each other. From the Arena, go down until you've counted five doors on your right, then turn to your left and go inside.

14. From General house common room to Filches filing cabinet

From the GHCR, which is in the middle floor, middle area, take the Grand Staircase down to the first floor. Look around. Do you see a dingy gray door with papers leaking out from under it? If you have, don't go in there - that's something else. Look around again. This time, do you see a shining manilla door? That one's the one you want - he made the door match the filing folders! Isn't that wonderful?

15. From Artist Alley to Muggle Studies Classroom

The Artist Alley branches off from the famous Purple Hall on the second floor. The Muggle Studies class is also on that floor, so it's just a matter of navigating the halls! From the Alley, turn onto the Purple Hall and head down into the Blue Hall (past the Grand Staircase). Head off onto the first side hall after Hippo in Hat, Third Study, and it's the first classroom after the tapestry portraying the legend Finding of the Hippo.

1. From Entrance Hall to Defence against the Dark Arts classroom
Head out of the far door of the entrance hall (the door with the purple hippo symbol above it), follow the corridor all the way down and turn left, up the small staircase infront and first door on the right.
2. From Games room to Library
Out of games room door, turn left and take first right. Go down one flight of stairs on the grand stairway. Go down the left hand corridor and follow around corner and down steps in front. The library is ahead of you.
3. From Prefects bathroom to Hospital wing
From prefects bathroom go straight down the stairs in front of you, all the way down until you reach the entrance hall. Turn right and through archway, down corridor counting three doors. The fourth door is the hospital wing.
4. From Head of house office to Headmistresses office
This is a simple one, though the headmistresses office is under a invisability charm so without the password you wont be able to see it. You go left from the head of house office and follow the corridor all the way down. You will come to what looks like a dead end. The office is hidden behind there!
5. From the notice board to the Trophy case
This is another simple one. You are in the entrance hall. Turn around and face away from notice board. The trophy case is right in front of you.
6. From Potions class to Examination waiting room
Go out of potions room and follow corridor all the way. Go up the steps and round the corner on your right, up more steps. Cross the entrance hall and follow the right hand corridor to left of stairway. Count five doors and then you are there.
7. From Gryffindor house to Slytherin house
Turn right and take 2nd left. Follow the back stairway which is hidden behind the portrait of the donkey from Shrek! Go all the way down and through the curtains. Turn left and it is the first door on the left.
8. From Hufflepuff house to Ravenclaw house
Go down the carpetted stairway to the floor below. Turn right and follow corridor around corner. Head down the small steps ad into a reception area. Take corridor to your right and it is the first portrat on your left.
9. From professors lounge to Quidditch pitch
Turn left out of lounge and head all the way down the corridor until you reach entrance hall. Go out of main doors and follow path to your right down the hill. You are now there!
10. From Great hall to Event Hall
Go out of main hall doors and through entrance hall to the outside. Turn left and follow path to side of castle. You will see a large building standing alone in front of you. This is the event hall.
11. From Badge Burrow to Media rooms
Take the first right and go up two flights of stairs. Head down the corridor on the right. You are now in the media corridor.
12. From Debate classroom to Hogsmeade
At the back of the debate classroom there is a hidden passage way under the small notice board. Password is: Yummy! Go down the ladder and follow the long lighted passage. You will come out near the wishing well in Hogsmeade.
13. From Battle arena to Photography corner
Battle arena is outside around the corner from event forum. Head down the path in front of you back to main entrance hall in castle. Go up staircase to 4th floor. Turn right ad down corridor. Take first door after the zigzag corner.
14. From General house common room to Filches filing cabinet
Follow the corridor straight ahead to the entrance hall. Turn back on yourself and go through door on right. Go down the steps and to cellar. he filing cabinet is right in front of you!
15. From Artist alley to Muggle studies classroom
Follow the alley to the end and head up the hill past the quidditch pitch. Head into castle and turn right in entrance hall. Take the left hand door and follow corridor and up two flights of stairs. The classroom is the 2nd door to your right.

1. From Entrance Hall to Defence against the Dark Arts classroom
First off, you are going to want your wand in your hand, as sometimes the Dark Arts professor lays traps for the unaware student. Just keep a simple defense spell forefront in your mind and you should be fine... hopefully. Now to get to the Dark Arts classroom you are going to take the main staircase up seven flights. If the staircase shifts, always stick to the right hand side. On the seventh floor you will find another hallway marked by a painting of an old wizard and his herd of goats. Three doors down, on the left hand side is the classroom. If you have the opportunity, let another classmate enter before you do, thus alerting you to any potential dangers.

2. From Games room to Library
If you are unfortunate enough to have to tear yourself away from the Games room to go study in the Library you are going to want to take a left down the hallway as you exit the Games room. Take the back staircase up two flights and turn right- the Library will be right in front of you. I'd recommend performing a simple silencing spell on yourself before entering the Library, as noise in any form is not tolerated by Madam Pince.

3. From Prefects bathroom to Hospital wing
First, I hope you enjoyed your bubble bath, you suck up. Anyways, try not to slip in your pampered bathroom as you exit and take a left. When you come to the next hallway, veer right. Stay straight until you see a statue of mermaid (you know, like the one that adorns your precious Prefect's bathroom). Then you can bloody well ask her how to get the Hospital wing.

4. From Head of house office to Headmistresses office
From the Head of House Office take eighteen steps to your right. You are now standing in front of the Headmistresses office.

5. From the notice board to the Trophy case
First you should really check the notice board to make sure that you haven't missed anything. Now turn left, like you're heading towards the Great Hall, but instead of keeping straight take the staircase in the corner down one flight. It will take you to a hallway lined with glass cases containing every Trophy ever awarded at Hogwarts.

6. From Potions class to Examination waiting room
Although one should never want to leave my Potions classroom, at times it does become necessary. If you wish to proceed to the Examination take a right as you leave my dungeon classroom, but keep a careful eye out for a staircase on the left side. If you pass it you'll just end up deeper under Hogwarts, and trust me, that's not a place you want to go. So, take the first staircase on the left side up three flights. On the third floor take a right. The hallway twists quite a lot and has many forks in it. Stay to the right, completing a circle and you will find yourself in the Examination Waiting room.

7. From Gryffindor house to Slytherin house
Huh, well, I can't imagine why anyone would purposely want to go Slytherin house, but assuming you have suffered some kind of head injury, I'll humor you. From the Gryffindor house (located in one of the many towers to grace Hogwarts castle). You'll take the staircase in front of the Fat Lady portrait down two flights. Wait a few seconds for the staircase to shift to the left, and continue down until you reach the main floor of Hogwarts castles. Turn left at the end of the staircase, and head towards the back of the hall. On the right hand side will be a statue of Sorcerer Elston the Elongated. Behind the statue is a flight of stairs leading up, take those. They will go up a flight, then it will crest, and you will go down two flights. You are on the other side of the dungeon. Take a right and then you will come to a portrait of Pure Blood Witch Fluma Wizzlegut. She guards the entrance to Slytherin house.

8. From Hufflepuff house to Ravenclaw house
The Hufflepuff house is on the first floor, while the Ravenclaw house is located in one of the north towers. From the Huffelpuff house, take a right and follow the hallway to the main entrance. Take the staircase up seven flights, keeping to the left. On the seventh floor, turn to you right, unless it's a Tuesday in which case you should take a left, and you will find yourself in a narrow hallway. Go straight until the hallway end. Press lightly on the wall and whisper the word "Ra-Ra-Ravenclaw", at which point the wall and surrounding floor will rotate until you find yourself on the other side of the wall. There you will see a nice sitting room with a portrait of a lovely lady. She guards the entrance to the Ravenclaw house.

9. From professors lounge to Quidditch pitch
There are two ways to get the pitch from the prof's lounge. The easiest, albeit most unladylike way, is to simply climb out the window and roll down the grassy hill towards the pitch which can be easily seen. If that way is to unbecoming, then you can exit the professor's lounge and take a left towards the back entrance of Hogwarts. The pitch is a straight shot from there.

10. From Great hall to Event Hall
Go out the back entrance to the Great Hall and turn to your left. Make your way through the courtyard and use the small footbridge to cross the pond. The bridge ends in a little flowery path that will take you to a red door. Knock three times, and the door will open. You will enter an antechamber of the Event Hall, which will be lined with notice boards. On the right there is a black door that leads to the Second Event Hall, on the left the door you seek will be red with black trim, that is the door that will take you inside the Event Hall.

11. From Badge Burrow to Media room
Take the staircase in front of the Burrow down two flights. Cross the main hallway and take the passageway on the right, which is marked with a portrait of the Great Wizard Humperdink. The hallway will lead to another staircase, which you need to take up three flights. Turn left and the Media room is the third door on the left hand side.

12. From Debate classroom to Hogsmeade
As you leave the Debate classroom, head towards the statue of the witch holding a pair of scales in her hand. Once there, begin to debate whatever topic you have just learned in class, the more passionate your debate the sooner the statue will move to the left side to reveal a hidden entrance. Take the entrance, which slopes down, down, down, as far as it will go. Although it will be dark, and the air might get a bit stale, eventually the slope will even out, and you will have to walk about a quarter of a mile before the passageway begins to go up. At the very end, there will be a small ladder. Climb the ladder and you will find yourself in a hallowed out tree at the edge of Hogsmeade. Take great care not to be seen as you exit the tree.

13. From Battle arena to Photography corner
Take a right turn as you leave the Battle arena, and you will find a hallway that is decorated by pictures of early witches and wizards dueling. Follow the hallway to a flight of stairs that spiral down two flights. You will enter the hallway of Photography corner, which will be decorated by all the wonderful photographs our HE classmates have taken. There will be 4 blue doors, and one white. Knock and enter the white door, but never open any of the blue doors unless you have been told to do so. Behind the blue doors is where the photographs are developed and they must be kept dark, as many of us prefer the muggle approach to picture taking and development.

14. From General house common room to Filches filing cabinet
Follow the left hand corridor to where it forks, and turn right. The hallway will continue for what seems a long time, and although there is no visible decline, you will feel the impression of descending. Eventually you will reach a stretch of hallway that contains no doors and no paintings. Continue on until the hallway forks, take either fork, for they both lead to doors filled with Filches' files.

15. From Artist alley to Muggle studies classroom
The artist alley is located in the crow's nest to allow as much natural light as possible. Take the stairs from the crow's nest to the main staircase. Go down two flights and wait for the staircase to shift to the left. Take the flight of stairs that it connects with down three more flights. There you will find a plain wooden door. Open it and go through. The interior of the room looks like any muggle school, there is nothing magical in the room save yourself and any friends you have brought with you. No magic is viable in this room, as the muggle studies teacher likes for her students to emphasize with muggles.

1. From Entrance Hall to Defence against the Dark Arts classroom
First off you must walk through the giant double doors that lead to the insdie of the school. Now if you were to look off to your right you will notice the stairways. Go up these stairs and climb three floors. On the third floor you will open a door which leads you out onto the third floor corridor. Turn right and walk down the hall until you pass three doors on your left. The fourth door is the room you want.

2. From Games room to Library
Exit the games room through the only door in the room and turn left. Than head stright for the stairs which is stright ahead of you. Climb one floor and on your left there will be a door leading into the corridor. Enter the corridor and you will see right in front of you in giant letters the word Library. Below it is the door to the Library.

3. From Prefects bathroom to Hospital wing
Exited the prefects door and turn right. Walk down the crridor until your reach the end of the corridor and climb the stairs until you can't any longer. Right in front of you is the door to the seventh floor corridor. Enter through the door and stirght down the hall on the clear other side of the hall is the Hospital Wing.

4. From Head of house office to Headmistresses office
Exit the room, and turn to your left. Take three paces and than look off to your right. You will not see a door. Look to your left and you shall see the door. Enter this door and it will lead you down a long hall. At the end of this hall is another door. walk through this door and you will enter a chamber. At the otherside of the chamber is another door. Walk through this door and you shall be at your destination.

5. From the notice board to the Trophy case
Well the notice board is in the office so you must exit the office. Once outside of the office right at the other side of the wall is the Trophy case. It's a glass box filled with many trophys.

6. From Potions class to Examination waiting room
The Potions class is right in the basement and lucky you so is the Examination Waiting Room. Walk out of the Potion's room and admire the plain walls with tourches of fire all along it. Walk down the end of this corridor and at the end you shall reach the stairs. Climb the stairs for one floor and than you shall be on the same floor as the Exams waiting room. The fifth door on the right is the room you want.

7. From Gryffindor house to Slytherin house
Those Gryffindor's house is behind a portrate which means you must climb out of this. Well since their's is way up in the higher part of the school you must descend all the way down to the dungeons. The second floor in the basements is where you outhg to be and once there you just find the only part of the wall that's bare and dioesnt have a tourch basket on fire on it and say the password and you're in.

8. From Hufflepuff house to Ravenclaw house
The Hufflepuff's house is by the kitchens and the Ravenclaws is in one of the upper floors. You must climb the stairs til you find a portrate of the kinight sitting beside an old wizard wearing pink robes and that's the floor you want. Walk down and on your left after the thrid door is the entrance. If you can answer the riddle you can enter.

9. From professors lounge to Quidditch pitch
The professor's lounge is right on the first floor close to the great hall so you must exit through the giant ouble doors to get to the pitch. Once your outside turn to your right and you will notice a giant pitch surrounded by stands. Walk over to there and you will find the pitch.

10. From Great hall to Event Hall
Leave the Great Hall but do not exit through the double doors or you will never find the Event Hall. Once your out of the Great Hall, turn to your left and ascend the stairs. Once your on the third floor walk down the corridor and the nineth door on your left is where the Event hall is at.

11. From Badge Burrow to Media rooms
The Badge Burrow is a hole dug in the ground right by the whomping Willow tree. Exited the Burrow and avoid the tree. Once your saftely away walk towards the school and built right beside it is what appears to be a tiny shack. Enter this shack and you found the Media Rooms.

12. From Debate classroom to Hogsmeade
The Debate classroom is a small clothest right beside the Transfiguration room. Leave the Debate classroom and head for the stairs. Climb up two floors and enter the door leading to the corridors. On your right six doors down is the History room.

13. From Battle arena to Photography corner
The battle arena is a clearing in the forrest and once you have battled through all of the beasts and students roaming about head for the school. Enter through the giant double doors and head for the basement. Walk down two floors and you will be on the same floor as the Photography room. The seventh door on your right is not the door you want but instead the third on your right.

14. From General house common room to Filches filing cabinet
The founders wanted a great place for the General Common Room to be at so they made a cabin in the middle of the ground yards away from the great lake. Filches' filing cabin isn't far, You just enter the school through the double door and turn to your right. There's a tiny little door there that's where Filch keeps everything, but beware, he might not be happy to see you there.

15. From Artist alley to Muggle studies classroom
This is hidden well and only few know where it's at, but if your able to find your way out or even into the Artict Alley than you can head for the Muggle Studies Classroom. The Alley which is on the fourth floor hiddened by a painting on the wall, is only rthe floor below the Muggle Classroom. Just climb the stairs one floor and than enter the corridor of the fourth floor. The first door on your left is where you want to look.

1. From Entrance Hall to Defense against the Dark Arts classroom
From the Entrance Hall, proceed up three flights of stairs. You should see a suit of armor on your left. Now there are two ways you can go from here. However, Peeves can often be seen causing mischief if you go use the hallway on your left, so I would suggest taking a different path, though it is a bit longer. If you go straight off the stairs into the hallway directly in front of you, there will be many hallways branching off from the main. In between the first and second hallways, there is a tapestry of a dragon. Pull it back and you’ll see a wall. There should be an indention in the center of wall. Push on this and the section of the wall will swing forward like a door. Follow the passageway until the end. You will come out of the passageway and take a right. From here, the Defense Against the Dark Arts classroom is the third door on the right.

2. From Games room to Library
We all know the Games room can get quite noisy, so unfortunately the Games room and Library are located on the top and second floor of the castle. From the games room, located near the Astronomy Tower, you will need to go down the spiral staircase. Keep going all the way down (don’t get off at any of the landings) and when you reach the bottom of the stairs you’ll find yourself by the Fourth Floor bathrooms. Take a left past the men’s bathroom and continue down this hallway until you come to the Grand Staircase. Continue down to the second floor (you’ll see a portrait of the purple hippo) and then continue down the main hallway. The library will be at the very end of the hallway right after the Challenge Chamber.

3. From Prefects bathroom to Hospital wing
From the Prefects bathroom to the Hospital wing there is a very useful and easy shortcut to take. When you leave the bathroom, take a right to the portrait of the Fat Lady’s friend, Violet. You will need to give her the password, “Gillyweed” to enter the secret passage way. You’ll find a spiral staircase behind her portrait. Just go straight up the stairs and the Hospital wing will be the first room on the right.

4. From Head of house office to Headmistresses office
Lucky for you, the Heads of House and Headmaster’s office aren’t too far from each other. Simply take a right out of the office and continue down to the end of the hallway. Take another right at the statue of the house elf and the Headmaster’s office will be on the left beside the statue of the great purple hippo.

5. From the notice board to the Trophy case
From the notice board located in the Entrance Hall you will walk past the Great Hall to the Grand Staircase. Go up one flight of stairs (be careful! There’s a trick step halfway up!) and turn right. Continue down the hallway until you reach the Charms classroom. From here, turn into the hallway that leads to Defense Against the Dark Arts (on your left) and the trophy case will be displayed proudly halfway down the hallway.

6. From Potions class to Examination waiting room
When leaving potions class, turns left and continue down the hallway until you reach a small staircase on your right. Continue up the staircase to exit the dungeons (watch out for the Bloody Baron as he often haunts this area) and exit into the main Entrance Hall. Go up two flights of stairs and follow the hallway until you reach Moaning Myrtle’s bathroom. From here, knock twice on the wall opposite the bathroom and a passageway will open. Follow the passageway and exit through the second door. Right across the hall you will find the examination waiting room. Good luck on your exams!

7. From Gryffindor house to Slytherin house
Up to some nighttime scheme against the Slytherins? I’d suggest coming right out of the portrait of the Fat Lady and turning down into the main corridor of the seventh floor (there will be many portraits of famous Gryffindors located in this hallway). Continue down the hallway. You should arrive at a stairway. Continue down the stairs until you reach the very bottom level. You’re now in the dungeons so look out for any Slytherins! The Slytherin house can be found by exiting the stairway to the left and taking an immediate right down the next corridor. There will be a tapestry of a snake and, presented with the correct password, you’ll be able to enter.

8. From Hufflepuff house to Ravenclaw house
Since you’re so close to the kitchens, I’d suggest making a quick stop after exiting the house by tickling the painting of the pear. Then continue down the hallway and up the stairs. At the top of the landing, there will be a portrait of Helga Hufflepuff and Rowena Ravenclaw standing together. Ask politely to use their secret passage and they might let you through. If you follow the passage way to the end and then continue up the first flight of stairs, you’ll come to the Grand Staircase on the fourth floor. Continue up to the seventh floor and take a right. You’ll soon come to a suit of armor. Take another right and you’ll see the Astronomy tower. Keep going down the hallway and you’ll see another staircase. Continue up to the top and knock on the door. If you answer the question correctly, you’ll be able to enter Ravenclaw house.

9. From professors lounge to Quidditch pitch
Take a left from the lounge and enter the Grand Staircase. You’ll need to go down three flights of stairs to the Entrance Hall. Continue out the front doors. Follow the main path until you see the sign that says “Quidditch Pitch”. From there, walk past Hagrid’s hut and continue down the path. You should be able to see the tall posts and stands from here. Keep following the path past the hedges in the shape of the four House animals and you’ll arrive at the stands in about five minutes.

10. From Great hall to Event Hall
The Great Hall and the Event Hall aren’t far away at all. Come out of the Great Hall and into the Grand Staircase. Go up one flight of stairs and turn right. Continue halfway down the corridor and you’ll see a very colorful sign advertising the Events. Take a left down that hallway and at the end there will be a pair of double doors. The Even Hall is right inside.

11. From Badge Burrow to Media rooms
Straight across from the Badge Burrow is a portrait of a badger. Give the badger a scratch behind the ear and a hidden passageway will open. Continue down the hallway and take a left at the fork. You’ll come to a staircase. Go downstairs but be sure to skip every other stair so you don’t hit the trick stairs and get stuck! Come out of the passage and continue down the hallway. You’ll come out at the Grand Staircase. Continue down to flights of stairs to the fourth floor and the Media room is the first classroom on the left.

12. From Debate classroom to Hogsmeade
Since students aren’t supposed to go to Hogsmeade without a permission form, I’ll tell you the way through a secret passage. Come out of the Debate classroom and continue down the corridor to the Grand Staircase. Go down to flights of stairs until you’re at the second floor. You’ll come to a statue of a witch playing a flute. You’ll need to sing a song (she’s not too picky, but do it with pride!) and a corridor will open behind her. The passageway is often dark so you might want to light your wand tip and you’ll hear some flute music along the way. It will take a half hour to walk from inside the castle to Hogsmeade and you’ll come out near the Hogs Head.

13. From Battle arena to Photography corner
From the Battle arena, go straight down the path towards Hagrid’s house. Take a right and continue of the path until you come to the Herbology wing. Enter through the side door and cut through the Herbology classroom. The photography corner is just down the hallway to your left. There will be a whole bunch of photos on display that students have taken.

14. From General house common room to Filches filing cabinet
The General House common room is located right behind the Great Hall so walk out through the Great Hall and turn left towards the Grand staircase. Go down one flight of stairs. To your right is the dungeon, but to your left is a small hallway. Take the hallway on the left and you’ll see a very long list of banned items hanging on the wall next to a door. This is Filch’s office and you can find his filing cabinet inside. Just don’t let Filch catch you inside!

15. From Artist alley to Muggle studies classroom
Come out of the Artist Alley corridor (you’ll need to pass the Photography, Graphic, and Writing rooms) and you’ll see a statue of a giant eagle. Continue past the eagle down the hallway until you see a small staircase to your right. Go up two flights of stairs and you’ll emerge in the History of Magic wing. Continue down the hallway past Professor Binn’s class and take a right at the end of the hallway. Go all the way down this corridor and the Muggle studies classroom will be the last room on the right.
