Pickles pushed open the brown door leading into the big circluar room. He noticed that the tables where pushed against the walls, someone was already there,
"who's there?" Pickles yelled
no-one answered maybe the tables where always like that. Pickles didn't know who he was supposed to be fighting which made him scared, he pictured a masiive mountain troll strolling into the circular room
"nah" he whispered to himself "couldn't happen."
Pickles walked around the room, knowing that he was waitiong for a teammate,
"I wish my team mate would hurry up.. I'm not fighting the other team on my own" he whispered to himself...

Pickles smiled as he looked down at his footwear he'd goone a little over board in the protection area, he was wearing hs full dragon skin dueling outfit,
"better safe than sorry" he thought.

Violet ran in the room, loking for her team mate. Seeing someone in the middle she walked in slowly.
"Pickles?"She asked. He turned around and knew it was Pickles.

"Sorry, I got lost."She said.

Dorothy rolled over on her warm fluffy bed and was about to win the Quidditch World Cup when her alarm clock shrieked:
"Duel today! Hurry up or you'll be late!" Sitting up bolt-upright, she seized her shoe and started to destroy it with the heel. Once the alarm clock was reduced to a heap of cogs and springs (an enchanted muggle alarm clock) she remembered that she had a duel. Cursing, She repaired the alarm clock with a wave of her wand ("reparo!") and pulled on her robes. She sprinted down the stairs to the dueling room.

Dorothy cautiously approached the door, not quite about to enter without checking who was in there. She pulled out her wand and said:
"Homemum Reveilio". She was sure that there were two people in the room, but she couldn't be sure who.
Wand raised she entered the room and saw the other team gathered. "Oh, great, am I on my own then?" She asked wryly, then walked towards Violet and Pickles. "Do we start already? Because I'm not sure I want to duel two against one." She eyed his protection outfit. "Nice... Dragon Skin?" She said apreciativly.

(I'll pm Shadow to come to the duel)

(Jeez, give me some time! I was away eating!)

Shadow skidded to a halt in front of the trio already there.
"Sorry about being late!" She said "I overslept!" Shadow was deeply embarrassed, but tried not to show it. She looked at her opponents. "Great, duel between friends eh?"

Pickles looked at the two girls on the opposite team,
"and why am i the only boy here? this is going to be bad, I don't want to hurt girls" Pickles knew very well that he was going to get his ass kicked by Shadow and Dorothy.
"But enough chat, time to duel!"
Pickles walked into the middle of the floor and bowed,
"now you!" he ordered the rest of the girls.
Pickles waited for the other to bow down and and start the battle, he wanted to get this over with fast.

Shadow bowed courteously to Pickles and then to Violet.
"Ready Doro?" Shadow asked her team mate sweetly, an evil grin on her face. Shadow was glancing around the room, checking out what could be of use during the duel.

"Ok, Jamie, I'm going for Doro.You got Shadow."Violet said. Looking over at Doro, she yelled,"Expelliarmus!" Violet had got Doro before she could have bowed, so Violet wasnt sure if she would be able to dogde the curse or not.

Dorothy bowed quickly, then saw the jet of red light aiming straight at her. Quickly as she could, she cast a Sheild Charm.
"Protego!" Her Sheild Charms wern't very strong, and she had to hold her wand tight to stop it flying out of her hand. Even so, it jumped slightly and only quick reflexes stopped it going anywhere. She made a quick mental note to practise them at the next oppertunity.
"Tallantallegra!" Dorothy cried, aiming for Violet. "You go for Pickles." She muttered under her breath to Shadow. "Back to back, ok?" Eliza turned her back to Shadow, hoping she would understand what she meant. She wanted to leave the back protected and to have spells coming from both sides.

Violet ducked but not good enough and the curse hit her. Standing up fast, she pointed her wand in the air."Avis!" She yelled, bright yellow birds coming out of her wand, and it was followed by an Oppugno and her flock of birds headed for Dorothy. Violet smirked and looked at Jamie, "Tough one this is."

Shadow nodded her head once and raised her wand towards Pickles.
"Cuir i bpríosún i sféar!" She shouted (Imprison in sphere ~ Gaelic) Shadow stood back to back with Dorothy, waiting for her spell either to miss or to hit and take effect. Seeing Violet shoot a flock of birds at Dorothy, and knowing that defencive spells were not her friend's strong point, Shadow cast another spell around her team mate.
"Cosain! (protect ~ gaelic)" She whispered, casting a light blue shield around her friend.

Jamie couldn't dodge the charm taht Shadow had cast around him,
He tried to escape by casting disarming spells at it but nothing like that worked.
"Protego!" Jamie yelled and the sphere around him burst into a million glass pieces,
"foryto" Jamie yelled as the glass pieces flew towards Shadow...... Jamie decided not to stop there, if Shadow dodged the glass pieces she wouldn't have time to cast another protecting spell over herself again,m
"stupify!Expelliarmus! Protego!" Jamie yelled the spells one after the other

Shadow's eyes widened as the shards of glass and spells flew at her. In a state of panic, she cast the last spell she could think of to dodge them.
"dobhriste sciath!" (Unbreakable shield... you can guess the language by now)

Pickles had enough of protective shields and all that jazz,
he knew a spell he'd read somewhere and it was on the tip of this tongue,
"Breakprotecshun." (break all protections! quest what language?)
Pickles walked around the room, not once taking his eyes off Shadow, he couldn't let anything distract him, he wondered what spelll to do next something exciting...
"Boggeru!" (bat boogie hex. is there an actual spell for that? i don't think there is?)

(German? Or badly spelt english))

Shadow watched in shock as her shield shattered before her and another spell was aimed right at her. Quickly snapping herself out of her shock, she dived for cover under a table.
" imigh go taobh thiar de Jamie!(Disappear to behind Jamie)" She whispered, appearing behind her opponent. "dí-armáil(Disarm)!" Shadow shouted.

Violet was tired of how Shadow was just attacking Jamie. Quickly, she pulled her wand and mad like she was going to attack Dorothy. She knew this plan had to work, if not, she would feel really stupid and bad. POionting her wand at Dorothy, she yelled."Stupefy!" but at the last mintue, she turned in on Shadow. She knew Shadow had not seen it coming so she waited to see if her curse would hit or not.

(i actually typed it into a engish to Irish translator on the internet, but it probibly didn't work right? who knows?)

Jamie watched Shadow disappear,
"where did she go?../" Jamie was cut off by a spell that seemed to be zooming towards him "VIOLET!!!!!! AWWWHHHHHHH" he jumped out of the way in time, he had a feeling that the spell had hit someone-or else it had been deflected, either way he was glad it didn't hit him.

Suddenly Jamie became aware that his wand wasn't in his hand anymore, he looked around and saw it lying on the ground
"Shadow!" he yelled getting into a rage now,
he ran over and scooped up his wand, now facing Shadow his wand inches away from her chest...

(It's gaelic, not the same as Irish)

Shadow suppressed a laugh as it took a while for Jamie to realise what the spell did, but soon spanned out of it as she saw his wand pointed directly at her. She froze, eyes wide, not knowing what to do, terrified.

Dorothy watched the birds zooming towards her and the protective shield around her by Shadow deflecting them. She was about to thank her when she saw Violet point her wand at Dorothy. She readied herself but the spell zoomed off towards Shadow, who had enough trouble to be getting on with. Gritting her teeth in concentration, she cast a Shield Charm in front of the spell. Concentration and determination seemed to have made it stronger, and the spell was deflected.
Realising that Shadow was at wand-point by Pickles, she sent a spell ("Levicorpus!") zooming towards Pickles. Even if he ducked in time, she only wanted to distract him from Hexing Shadow, letting Shadow retreat safely. Turning back to Violet, she sent a Tickling Charm her way, muttering, "Rictumsempra!".

Violet seen what Dorothy done and quickly said "Protego!" And a shield was infront of her. "You little brat!Stupfey!Advis!Oppugno!"Violet yelled at one time. No way was this girl beating her. Not at her own game. They may be friends but the are enimies today. "Jamie, you are own your own for right now. I have smaller meat to fry"Violet said.

Jamie turned around in time to see the bolt of magic glide towards him, he ducked quickly, not knowing where Shadow had went or even if she had moved from behind him.

he turned around again to face Shadow who was still standing there,

"okay then, you had your chance," Jamie held his wand to her chest,
"jellieo" Jamie whispered so only she could hear, only she would know the spell that was being cast..

Shadow didn't have a chance to react to the spell being cast and fell to the ground writhing in pain. She tried hard to bite back a scream, wishing for the pain to end.

Violet turned and threw a reducto at Dorothy. She had long forgotten Jamie and Shadow. This girl was going down even if she had to thump her in the eye, which she wouldnt.

"SMALLER MEAT?" Dorothy cried, indignant. She rolled over and crouched behind a table to wait for the barrage of spells to end. When the last spell hit a picture on the wall and made it burst into dust, and all was quiet, she stood up. "So..." Dorothy said, circling Violet. When she was face to face with her she stopped. You could have heard a pin drop, when suddenly-"Stupify! Impedimenta! Tallentallegra! Reducto!" She sent spell after spell at Violet, laughing her head off. She didn't realise that Shadow was in need of her help.

Violet glared at Dorothy, her eyes following every step she made. She heard the curses that Dorothy threw at her and she ducked. "Death Eater plus reflexes equal" Violet said adn pushed Dorothy over."You downfall. Rictumsempra!". Violet laughed, hoping she had not scared her friend when she done this.

The spell hit her right in the chest. She doubled up, laughing. She tried to turn her wand on Violet but her wand hand was shaking so much from mirth that she dropped it. It rolled several feet away. Gasping for breath, she crawled on her hands and knees because she couldn't get up, towards her wand. Between fits of giggles she cast the counter-jinx (it's never mentioned in the book, so: 'Ennuim') and the laughter ceased.

Anger bubbled inside her like water boiling. She stood up quickly and held the wand inches from Violet's chest. Without hesitating, she cried, "Pietran!" (Petrify)

Violet was blown into the wall and fell down, hard as a rock. inside she was glaring and growling. Her wand had been thrown from out of reach so she would have to think fast when the spell came off.

Dorothy grinned as the spell hit Violet and she toppled over. Even though they were friends, Dorothy had forgotton all relations she had with her for the duel the night before. It was her speciality to forget all emotions.
But she realised that she'd better not just watch her, so she set up a Super-Sensory Charm to make sure that Dorothy knew when she could move again. Turning away from Violet, fully satisfied, she wondered where Shadow had gotten to.

Voilet started moving again and crawled towards her wand. Fastly, she yelled, "Stupfy!" At a mirror and it refleted, hit another mirror, helding right behind Dorothy. Violet smirked, this girl was good, but it wouldnt be long before Violet finally gotten the best of the girl.

A loud ringing started in Dorothy's head. She realised that this was the Super-Sensory Charm and whipped around to see Violet shoot a Stunning Spell, which apparently missed her by inches. She laughed, but as she heard the sound of the spell reflecting against the mirror she instinctivly rolled to one side. The spell came so close to her it singed some of her hair. The result of the spell passing so close to her was that she felt slightly dizzy, which was not a good thing, especially in a duel.

She staggered to her feet and swung her wand around to face Violet. "Sectumsempra!" She cried, not quite remembering that that spell caused deep gashes in the opponent but knowing that it would do harm to Violet, which was precisely what she wanted. She felt humiliated with her singed hair which made her look like a confused rabbit.

Violet's eyes widen. "What the bloody hell do you think you are doing?!" She yelled. "You could have killed me!" coming back up, she threw a sobounce charm on her and hoped it would work. (makes you bounce)

(okay, Jamie didn't cast crucio, he cast a jelly legs curse i'll edit it now, Shadow you were in pain cuz of the curse??? lol)

Jamie watched and wondered how a jelly legs curse could have caused so much pain,
"ready to finish it shadow?" Jamie asked with a glint in his eye,
he mopped his brow, the dragon skin had one downfall, it was very heavy and warm,alright if you were going to look for Hinkipunks in the polar areas.
Jamie circled Shadow as he waited for her to get up off the floor, he didn't evn look over at the other girls fighting, he knew Shadow could be crafty like that and launch a surprise attack on him.

Shadow threw off the curse quickly, but pretended that she was still in pain while she reached slowly for her wand. She pointed it quickly at a nearby bookshelf, shouting out her spell.
"tabhair leat go beatha leabhar!" (~ bring to life books).

Dorothy was about to stutter her apologies when she remembered that she was in the middle of a duel, and Violet was her opponent. A much more worrying matter was that a bouncy spell was about to hit her in the chest. She stepped backwards in shock and surprise and tripped. She fell flat one her back and the spell whooshed over her head, hitting a man in his painting who started to bounce around against his frame, hollering in indignation.

She looked around for Shadow when she saw her 'in pain'. She was about to help her when Shadow cast a Charm on the books. As they lept from the shelves Dorothy gave a yelp. She backed away, wand raised, trying to reason that it had been Shadow who had enchanted the books so they wouldn't attack Dorothy.

The books seemed to look for someone to attack, and then...
Suddenly, half the books went for Jamie and the other half for Violet, still a considerable number. Dorothy thought they looked like a flock of strange exotic birds. The 'birds' sped towards their targets.

(you never deflected my curse I sent you)

Violet eyes widen and pionted her wand at the books. "Oppugno!" She yelled and the books flying towards her went another way. "Stupfy!" She yelled and the books fell. Looking towards Jamie, she did the same thing.

Eliza cursed under her breath. She had narrowly avoided bouncing all over the place, and now the books had failed. The man continiued to bounce around, yelling shrilly.
She decided that enough was enough. She apparated behind Violet. She quickly cast the 'Tallantellegra!' jinx and then apparated behind Pickles and did the same thing. She then apparated, back to the wall.

She suddenly had an itchy feeling and realised that she had splinched herself. Feeling on her face, she discovered that it was her fringe that had disappeared. Fumbling for her wand, she muttered the spell to fix the damage. ('Unia') She heaved a sigh of relif when her fringe reappeared on her head and was thankful that it wasn't anything more severe.

Jamie saw the books fly fastly towards him

"uh oh!" he whispered under his breath, this one was going to be hard to get out of.
"Propellio" he yelled as he levitated just high enough for the books not to fly into him,
"nice try Shadow!" he yelled over to her

"gripper" (grabbs you and forces you towards me)
Jamie screamed at her, holding the position the spell required

Oh... ******!!!! Shadow thought as she saw the spell, not reacting fast enough to dodge it again. It grasped her, and she felt the spell pull her towards Jamie.
"Relashio" Shadow shouted, managing to get her wand to point at Jamie.

jamie ran up to Shadow they were standing face to face now, almost nose to nose,

"you nearly ready to give-up yet?" he asked her

"expelliamus!" he yelled disarming her

"Forget it!" Shadow snarled, her eyes narrowing. She dodged the disarming spell and backflipped away from him before sending her own spell at Jamie.
"claochlaigh go a luchóg!" (~ transform to a mouse)

The spell hit Jamie square in the chest, he turned into a small mouse, squeking in the comotion, suddenly the mouse evolved into a cheeta charging towards Shadow

(You have to have passed the test first, same for apparation.)

Shadow pointed her wand at Jamie once more, shouting out the next spell.
"Púicín!" (~ blindfold)

Vilet watched what was happening and then turned towards Dorothy. "Lickedcu" and a vlack light flew out of her wand, waiting to make her fly around the room.

Dorothy watched Shadow transform Jamie into a mouse and laughed at the sweet little thing on the floor, but the laughter died on her lips as she saw it transforn into a cheetah.
Her complete attention was on the pair - a grave mistake in a duel. Dorothy had only time to hear a rustling of wind behind her and to see a flash of black before she was whisked into the air, her vision blurred from the speed she was flying with.

In all the bustling Dorothy had dropped her wand, and having no control over her flight, she was left to contend herself with zooming around the room, narrowly missing various objets.

However, at one point she slowed so she was cruising, and was able to get her bearings. Looking around, she saw that it was Violet who had placed the jinx, who seemed to want Dorothy pulverised into teeny-weeny bits. Dorothy looked around for something to help her, her wand for example - she had been standing around there when she must've dropped her wand. Sure enough, her wand was lodged behind the ear of the bust of Miranda Goshawk, celebrated school-book writer.

Streching her hands forward as much as she could and after many tries, Dorothy finaly managed to grasp hold of her wand and was about to aim a Stinging Hex at Violet when the jinx decided that it was time for Dorothy to move again, and fast. She kept a tight hold on her wand, not wanting to lose it again and leave herself vunerable once more, as she whizzed around the room.

the blindfold hit Jamie,

"humano!"(back into a human) he said quickly after being hit by the mouse spell,

the blindfold made him walk into objects, whether or not Shadow was making him do it he didn't know.
"sesino exchangio"(trades one of your one sense for an other) Jamies sense of smell went away quickly, so he could see,

"levicorpous!" he yelled

Shadow felt herself hang upside down in the air and decided that this was not the time to be worrying about her pride.
"tintreach stailc! (Lightening strike)" She shouted, pointing her wand at Jamie

The jinx placed on Dorothy made her slow down again, so she drifted by Shadow's ankle. "I'll let you down, liberacorpus!" She just had time to cry the incantation before - WHOOSH! She sped off with such force that the pieces of paper from the blasted books fluttered in the air.

She felt as if all the blood was rushing to her head from the centrifugal force (which it was), and wondered why she had volenteered for the duelling competition in the first place when Shadow's lightning bolt hit her out of the air.
Black as soot, and thankful that it had merely hit the ground a few feet away, she staggered to her feet. Her hair was sticking out as if she'd electrocuted herself, and her clothes were in rags. With a quick florish of her wand (redintegrio!), she looked normal again.

Panting and clutching her sides, she noticed Jamie could see again, so decided to make it a mistake. Whirling around, she sent a blinding flash of light hovering around his head, in front of his eyes (micio!), intending to obscure all else from view.

Jamie dodged the lightening strike that flew towards him, it was a close call because his dragon skin boots were a bit burnt. He saw Dorothy letting Shadow down bt didn't stop her, it wouldn't have been much fun if she spent the rest of the duel hanging upside down.
"stupify!" he yelled at Shadow, hoping she didn't see it comming, it might only stun her for a little while but it put his chances at winning in the lead.
"frozone!" (freezes you) he yelled again, if she dodges the stunner she wouldn't have enough time to dodge that one, if she was frozen that would give him time to help violet out.

Shadow hit the ground with a thud before looking up at Dorothy.
"Thanks!" She called out, and stood up, turning towards Jamie. She saw a bright red light only a few feet from her, which hit her square in the chest. She fell to the ground once more, Stunned.

(Pickles, you never paid any attention to the blinding light I sent at you)

Dorothy only just heard the 'thanks!' before the red light came zooming in Dorothy's general direction. She forgot that she could just've cast a Sheild Charm, however weak, to deflect it but instead she threw up her arms in front of her face, waiting for the spell to hit her...

She looked up after lack of impact and saw that the spell had hit Shadow instaed, who was now on the floor. Bending down, she pointed her wand at her face and Revived her ("Enervate!"). She didn't have time to watch her wake, so she straightened up, looking around.
