| Severus Snapes Room
I have taken the theme of the traditional slytherin look with modernisations and without the coldness of a dungeon. The Walls are painted green for obvious reasons and are left plain except for one bit of 'slytherin' graffiti on the wall marking the room rather like the dark mark on the arm. The flooring is bare grey stone to mimic the dungeon though with under floor heating to allow warmth. As you can see, the furniture all bares the same green, silver and black scheme to reflect on the slytherin theme. The bed has a slight touch of comfort though is still extremely slytherin with colours and is placed under the slytherin words on the wall as a mark to the owner. Of course, there are all the mod-cons such as a big screen television, top of the range computer and games station – only the best for a Slytherin owner. There is a stone fireplace in the corner of the room for warmth and to reflect the slytherin common room, yet it is placed at the side as Slytherins don’t generally sit around chatting over a cup of tea – it is placed for convenience rather than comfort. The desk is made of stone fitting in nicely with the feel of the room and the cupboards and sideboards are all quite plain, yet convenient for holding all those expensive items. There is an electric guitar to reflect my own taste in black and purple – black for me and purple to reflect Elfie. Placed in various places are beer glasses on a silver platter (again only the best!) and the room is lit with a simple three candle holder in pure gold. The table is placed center with two chairs for discussions about such things as deatheater jobs etc. There are only two chairs as much of death eater conversations are between two people as most do not know what the others are doing. The walls are also made of sound proof material to keep any spies or eavesdroppers at bay. There is only one door due to this same reason and is also completely soundproof – as are the windows. The windows are also filled with protective glass to stop any spells or other getting through and harming the owner of the room This room is fit for any slytherin member, though I am unsure of whether Sharon would want to share this room as it has limited purple!

My room is a very neutral calm room, with one pale green wall to represent Slytherin and that I am always proud to be in Salazar’s glorious house. Although not a strong presence, I always show pride in my house, with posters (not available on the program) and shields.I like to include other cultures art and nature into my room, hence the Japanese bonsai tree and the Moroccan style mirror and side table.I love playing my keyboard, and have always wanted a huge black grand piano. Due to there not being one on the game, I added a violin instead as I have considered learning this instrument before the keyboard.Technology is a huge part of my life, hence the huge plasma TV (Where I could watch the Harry Potter movies) and the green (influenced by Slytherin) laptop (which I would use to browse and post on The Hogwarts Experience)Comfort is important, after a hard day at school; I would drop into my beanbag chair and while a way a few hours on HE. My bed is simple, quite a boring pattern but comfortable and big, along with my grey squishy beanbag chair.I’m quite an organised person and like to stick to a routine. I’m always looking at the clock, to see how long I have to do certain tasks, or when my next lesson is, which is why the big clock is hanging near to my bed.The fish on my bedside table is my pet, as I probably wouldn’t have time to care for a bigger animal, like a dog or a cat. A fish is low maintenance and requires little feeding, attention or cleaning, but is just nice to observe.I don’t like a lot of clutter which is why I have very little furniture like rugs. A simple square mat by the door is sufficient and the violin and laptop are only on the floor because they wouldn’t be permanently on a table, they would move around when I use them. My room is light, airy and spacious, giving me (the owner) plenty of room to move around, invite people over, practise spells and charms and basically give me the space to do what ever I please. The astrologer predicted my room layout and choice of furniture meant I was very ambitious (Career) which is true as I like to strive and succeed in everything I do. | I have used a mix of colours for my room which includes a warm pink to show my inner love and care as well as yellow for the Hufflepuff part of me and even some brighter and bolder colours to signify the part of me, although hidden at times, which is outgoing and loud! I love my mod-cons and animals hence the cat and hamster along with the guitar showing my love of music. I have included a teddy to show my soft side and a lava lamp to show that I am often in dreamland. My mirror is patterned to hide reflection as I am not too keen on my reflection though it is a necesity! I also have a notice board and alarm clock etc to show my hard working side. There is also a tray of wine which shows yet another party side of mine!!

| In my room, I decided to show my true Ravenclaw spirit with colors of blue and silver. My walls are painted different shades of blue with two large windows to bring in the sunlight and brighten the room. A dark black fluffy carpet covers the floor, hiding all traces of dirt and stains. not that any of that would be in the room in the first place—I mean, we are Ravenclaws after all… Between the windows is a large fireplace, providing a warm lighting and a fire to roast smores over for a midnight snack. Above it, suspended on the wall, hangs a large plasma television, hand painted by yours truly to reflect my Ravenclaw-y-ness. DDR, possibly the best game ever, is in front of the television, just begging to be played. Because you just can’t have a room without DDR in it. But, if for some strange reason, you get tired of dancing non-real dance moves in front of a tv, there are hand held controllers to play other video games, such as ‘The Farm Game’. Which, by the way, is the other best game ever. You can then play all this while sitting on an extremely comfortable over-stuffed sky blue couch. But I warn you, it hurts your butt when you get up. To the left sits my cat, who likes to stare at you. I’m not really sure why, but he doesn’t. stop. watching. you. Anywhoo, he also has a small house to go into, but so far, I haven’t seen him move. Ever. …I’ve been thinking he may be a zombie spy come to gather information so that they can break into my house and eat my brains….but i cant be sure at the moment. In front of a window is a large mannequin thingy, ..i’m not really sure what its called. But it reminds me of a zombie, so in my room it goes. Though it blocks the light.. next to it sits a mirror propped against the wall, but it looks like it’s about to fall over at any second. A silver desk is pushed against the wall, where it shimmers in the light. Like a vampire. :D On top sits a computer where I can view my Fawesome harry potter sites, and talk with all my friends online. Buuuut, sometimes they cant get online, so I have a blue cell phone on the desk so I can call my friends. And order beastly Chinese Food. A lava lamp gives off an eerie blue glow from the other side of my desk, while a message board is hung on the wall above it to remind me of everything I need to do. On the other side of my pale blue door is a plain gray bed where I can flop down and read a book. There are also assorted alcoholic beverages. Like rum. Especially rum. And a big creepy teddy bear that I can chuck across the room when I get angry. | |

For my room, I decided to show my absolute Slytherin pride while also adding details that represent my emotional, even romantic side and furthermore allwoing myself more comfort than you'd find in the ordinary dungeon.
First off I went for a light wooden floor rather than dark parquet or boring and cold stone. It refreshes the look of the room and adds a very comfortable touch as well as a pleasant contrast to the eyes. If it were dark, then in combination with the green and black dominating both the walls and the furniture the whole room just wouldn't feel as homely and welcoming, or at least that's my opinion. The walls are plain green, of course a Salazar's Best shade of it, so my house loyality is thouroughly represented.
My wall decoration consists of a ordinary clock which is necessary since I have a strong knack to be, well, not exactly on time - plus I often forget the time when being online in the middle of the night and thus forget to sleep until morning dawns. I also have a mirror hanging close to my bed in which I can take a critical yet optimistic look at my features every now and then. Nothing better than having a realistic impression of yourself! This is also what the giant rose picture says. I have denied my emotional side for oh so long, but lately I've learned to admit it and be proud of it, so this piece of beauty is just right for me.
Another aspect emphasizing on my silver-and-greeen origins is the snake I've got, sitting happily in its terrarium. I named him after a great Head of House, and Rai-Rai seems to be quite content with his name xD His place is right next to my bed so I can always easily see if everything is alright with him. And, oh, the bed. It is definitely as fluffy and great as it looks! You can probably see that I'm really into huge cushions, too. At the other side of it stands my bedside table, used to put my glasses, currently read books and much more on. I love it both for its convenience and the awesome look that unites HE and Slytherin joys. Isn't it just the perfect base for my love-representing bouquet of roses?
At least as comfy as the bed is my couch, placed directly against a wall so I don't keep dropping stuff behind it [I'm awfully good at that] and, of course, coloured in totally stylish black with a neat green pillow on it. In front of it you can see my beloved huge flat screen TV and another quite important device: my games station. I do not only use it to play video games, but also to listen to music every now and then and, naturally, to watch movies. Couldn't live without it, I think. The only thing that is even more important is Bella, my super great laptop. Propped up on yet another cushion it rests in front of the fireplace at the side of a green, soft rug. This is where I like to spend my free time preferably, lying on the floor [which is an odd habit of mine] and browsing the HE, doing cool stuff - and working on my badges...

| I wanted to create a room that would primarily be used as a study area for me and my fellow Ravenclaws. Obviously I had the Ravenclaw colors in mind when it came to decorating schemes, choosing to go with rich blues and warm bronzes. In order to complement those colors the desks and book cabinets are a dark gray, as I didn’t want to overwhelm the room with too much Ravenclaw spirit. Not that one can ever have too much House spirit. I set up several different areas. Study groups can meet by the fireplace to discuss homework and events. Above the fireplace is a tv that can be hooked up to the karaoke machine that is kept stored atop the book cabinet. Next to front door we have on the right our official Ravenclaw desk with muggle computer, set up for those teachers who don’t insist onn quills and parchment paper. Here is where most Ravenclaws come to write their essays and on occasion play solitare on the computer whilst searching for mental inspiration. To the left of the front door is the study area, complete with comfy sofas and chairs, and a small decorative table . The table may be small, but don’t be fulled! In can hold the weight of hundreds of school books! This is where we come to curl up to read, whether it’s the History of Troll Uprisings by Madame Lachant, or the latest unauthorized biography of the Weird Sisters. We also have a mini cat condo set up nearby to amuse the cats that roam Ravenclaw towers. In the center of the room we have a music area set up. Although musical learning is not required at Hogwarts it is encouraged. The small desk is set up to hold a variety of instuments and sheet music, and for those who are gifted in Transfiguration, it can be easily turned into a piano or organ. The area is enchanted to have the best acustics, but the sound does not penetrate the other areas of the room, making it possible for someone reading the Edwardian Witches Of No Particular Interest by Frederick Von Yowler in peace and quiet as it is a terribly boring book and the least distraction can cause the re-reading of several paragraphs thus prolonging the torture. Although the room is lit by electricity, the use of fire light and candle light are also employed. Most students prefer the old fashion method of lighting a room, plus it creates a better atmosphere when we are re-reading out Twilight books. Near the fireplace we have a jukebox installed, to be played in times when we are celebrating our house members many victories and achievements. That’s usually when the karoke is brought out as well. Sometimes, if everyone in the room can agree, we will have the jukebox playing softly in the background to add white noise to the room. Although we Ravenclaw’s like to study, we prefer to do so in style. This room is the perfect marriage of all things Ravenclaw, it shows both our serious and relaxed sides, and is the perfect place for our house to hang.

| Because of the gambling on the site (at least that's what it said), my parental control wouldn't allow me to get to the it. Instead I used a different room maker found here which I hope will be a good substitute.
Let’s start with the basics and move on from there. I wanted to create a model for the Ravenclaw dorm rooms, and so kept with a simple blue and gray pallet with patterns and colors ranging the scale within them. I chose a light gray for the floor to match the grays of most of the furniture, and a dark blue for most of the walls. For the back wall I picked a patterned wallpaper to make it more fun. The walls have been left mostly free (you can’t see it, but the front wall is dark blue and empty besides the door) so that students can hang up bulletin boards, posters, Ravenclaw banners, hanging bookshelves, etc. The rug on the floor has a white and gray striped pattern, and is soft and warm as well. I put it there because who wants to get out of bed in the morning and put their feet down on a cold floor? Not me, and I’m sure my fellow Ravens would agree. On two of the walls are large windows with blinds along with curtains to let in as much light as possible. It gets very sunny up in the Tower which is why I have supplied both curtains and blinds. Along with the light from the windows, there are two small lights on the back wall and one on the ceiling for when the sun goes down and we just can’t make ourselves stop studying, reading, or whatever else we are doing.
Moving on to the furniture. What is in there is more for function than anything else, but it looks nice! We have a standard large four-poster bed painted a dark gray with a striped blue quilt and two patterned throw pillows. In front of that is a lighter gray chest for clothes and other materials that should be big enough to hold everything. There is a squishy armchair of a light blue pattern for comfortable studying, and also a light gray nightstand with a drawer and light gray patterned vase on top of it. There are many flowers growing in the Hogwarts gardens, and so students could bring up a number to brighten up the room even more. The room is not too enormous, I admit, but should work for the students. Also, more furniture, such as a bookshelf or two, could easily be brought in and put in the space left.

| Blue Rabbit Babe's Room
I’ve used varying shades of blue to do two things; 1) show my house pride (and name sake) and 2) act as a relaxing influence.
This isn’t a model for a dorm room, but it shows my idea piece of Hogwarts to bring home, and my individual taste would probably show a bit better with custom art work and books, scattered all over the place of course!
This is my dream- a clean and practical room, uncluttered and cool, but also my sense of identity coming out. I have shown my identity with the large window, as I am quite nosy about the outside world when I am inside, and I like to see what is going on in the road or garden, but also the lava lamp and candle, from two very different types of lighting, but with a common background; history. I am interested in the past, and the humble candle, burned millennia ago, and the more modern lava lamp, from the seventies, a closer time, but a very fun, and influential time. I currently have a little box room, which gets much cluttered very easily, and so I have tried to leave enough walking space where I can, and create an airy atmosphere, and a great space to study for my up coming SAT’s.
I would have had at least a book case, if the program had permitted it, but as it doesn’t, the wardrobe can double up, it does at my real home, and maybe a
Bear in mind, no polar bears or rabbits were harmed in the making of this room!
This room is very clear cut, and free of clutter to ensure a relaxing work space, and a place where friends can come, but also to serve a practical use as a bedroom. It is my perfect calm place and I also have my rabbit, named for the sake of it, Cookie, to help with this, as it is proved a pet can help a child, or adult to learn.
If the programme permitted it, there would be a microscope on the desk, at least a bookcase, a stack of classical (and a couple favourite modern) CD’s, pictures of animals plastering the walls, along with anatomy charts, a periodic table and a couple of jewellery boxes, (to contain my large amounts of costume jewellery).
I feel this room sums me up, calm collected, focused but also ready for a laugh at any time.

| I choose the color scheme of grey, purple, and black. My favorite color in the world is purple and I like the way it blends with black and grey. Black and grey tend to mute it a little and make the color purple more calming. I didn’t want an overly bright room and though I am a generally happy and cheerful person, darker colors are more calming for me.
I chose hardwood floors because I have always wanted a house with them. The cat and the dog represent my own cat and dog. I don’t think I will ever go for a long period of time without both kinds of pets. I also made sure to have a scratching post for the kitty, but put it far enough away from my bed that the scratching wont keep me awake at night.
I basically filled my room with all of the things I have always wanted. It is my dream room. I have always longed for a baby grand piano and the violin is there because it is an instrument I have always wanted to play. I choose a juke box that plays cd’s (because it is a way cooler filing system) for my room because I think they are really fun.
I have a slight obsession with books so I put a large bookcase in my room. I like to spend a lot of time on the computer so I gave myself a purple laptop, because I really want a laptop and a purple one would be amazing. I also really like to watch television (mostly sci-fi) and play video games, so I made sure I had a very large television, a nice soft couch, and a very comfy circular chair. I like these kinds of chairs because they make me feel very safe. They completely surround you so it doesn’t matter if the book or tv show is scary. The corkboard on the wall serves as my day planner. It is where I post upcoming Gryffindor events and notes from friends. I also made sure to have a clock on the wall so that I am never late for any Gryffie functions.
I was also sure to give myself a pool table. I love playing pool and never get to and I have always dreamed of having a table of my own. I chose grey for the table covering because I thought it looked better than the purple and it fit in with the color scheme of the rest of the room.
I chose the placement of furniture that I did to maximize space. I want to make sure there will be no clutter. The sleeping side and the playing side of my room are as separate as I could make them, so that my room feels like a home I could stay in all day if I wanted to. This is a room I would feel perfectly at home working and playing in.

The program i used to use was psp 7 but i accidently downlaoded photoshop, and i have NO IDEA how to use it, .. so im using paint and tinypic right now... sorry about the inconveniance.)
So my room has element of every house in HE. I decided to make my house first and formost a Huffie house, with one wall yellow and yellow curtains ect. But then I decided to add things like the animals and the rug. These will all be explained later.
Okay, we have one yellow wall because it creates a mood, just looking at it makes you feel friendly and light. Then we have the blue wall, this is part of the mix, the blue wall is one of the things that represents Ravenclaw.
The white lamp that sits ontop of the yellow Hufflepuff piano is my symbol for Elfie! This is white because Elfie is a nuetral party and is the god of HE.
The cussions on the floor beside the Yellow Hufflepuff piano this there so everyone can listen to Bobbette playing the piano, everyone from any house can come here because everyone should be friends!
The Yellow Hufflepuff laptop that is sitting on the bed is one of the Gyffindor symbols. Inside the laptop you can see three little people, this is where the huffies locked up the Gryffies at the end of last term, stopping them from earning anymore housepoints so we could slip infront of them to dodge the 4th place position
The yellow Hufflepuff Laptop is sitting ontop of the yellow hufflepuff bed, this is for Bobbette and Bobina to sleep when they get tired.
Beside the Hufflepuff bed we have the bedside table, nothing specail, but ontop of the bedside table we have the Hufflepuff phone, so we can call up all our friends from different houses.
Infront of the yellow wall we have the sofa for our other house guests to sit on, then beside that he have the old Gyffies fishtank. This fishtank used to be full of little Gryffie fish until the night of last term where we huffies took over third place from them. After a wild party a slightly drunk Etta celebrated our part victory emptying the water from the tank and sucking the fish up the hoover. That's why it is now empty, until the RSPCA takes off Etta's 12 year ban on owning fish(XD)
We on Ravenclaw wall we have a green door, this is one of the symblos for Slythies. The door was put there so we could open it and smell the fresh air every time. Beside that wall is the last of the Gryffies symbols, a bookshelf that was dedicated to them at the start of this year, to motovate them to do more classes this year.
On the floor beside Bobettes dinner (the cat) is the last symbol for Ravies, this is what they will look like at the end of this term.
The Television is there for when Bobbette and Bobina get tired of entertaining people for me, so we'll all just sit on the sofa and watch TV.
Last but not least is the last slytherin symbol. The pig outside, need i say more?

| My room is the one place I like to escape to, and so my room is the one place that reflects me the most. I have painted the walls blue and gotten blue furniture. The color blue is one that I find relaxes me. The row of windows on the wall let in tons of sunshine, which I like to wake up to in the morning. They also let me look out the window and ponder things while I sit on my bed with my guitar, or sit at the computer and write posts such as this one. My square and simple bed is just like my personality; simple and laid back, comfortable. The bulletin board above my bed shows my need for order, a schedule. You will find two rugs in this room, and only two. Though carpet is fine for some people, I can not stand it! I prefer to have nice wooden floors, which I feel give the room a cleaner look that carpet that doesn’t always match. One rug is placed by the door, and one in front of my couch. This gives me and my friends a comfy place to sit and put our feet when they come to visit. The rug also adds just the needed pop of color to make my room look uber pretty. Beside the door is a mannequin, which is where I test my outfit for the next day. Appearance is very important on my list, and I like to make sure things match properly and look cute. Sometimes, I move the mannequin outside and check how the outfit looks in the light of the day. I am really weird like that. On the desk is my pet goldfish, Joan and her baby sister Julie. Sometimes, I sit and watch them swim back and forth all day. Though that can get boring, and I do wish sometimes that I could have gotten a dog instead, I love them. Right next to them is my laptop, which I am almost always on. I move it around my room many times, to get a better look out the window on a rainy day, or a pretty day. My chair, square and squishy, is one of the most comfortable places in the entire house. Well, besides my pretty white couch, which I often lay on and ponder things. This is my room, this is me. Sure, its unique and a bit simple and, well, barren. But I love it. | |

| My chosen colour scheme was shades of purple, green and brown. These colours co-exist in symmetry, and I felt that together they gave the impression of warmth, but also serenity and spring. It’s happy, cheerful and pleasing to the eye. The walls are a deep shade of purple, but the colour is not overpowering as the pure white of the floors and the window and door counteract the closeted feeling they could otherwise have created. The room is open and airy; there is no clutter. The room is not over furnished, but nor is it bare of any comforts. The rocking chair is as much as factor of physical pleasure as it is for aesthetics. The photo on the wall adds to the spring feel of the room, making the wall less bare at the same time, and the screen is a decorative feature strategically placed in the centre to aid the eye. The books are in the corner so as to not be in the way, but also offer a more cultured perspective to the room. It is also close to the bed, so anyone who enjoys reading could easily select a book and read while lying down. The candles in the holder give a slightly romantic, old-fashioned sense to the room. It is not merely a source of light, but also an aesthetic aspect to the room’s design. The board above the candles attest to a well-structured and ordered mind. This was placed for convenience. The two brown tables have a functional use: to hold things, as resting places for other things, and are brown to fit in with the colour scheme. The left table bears a fish bowl. The fish is a feature, but also gives a livelier, lived-in impression to the room. The bed is open and inviting, warm in colour, and matches the living, spring theme the room follows. It is beneath the window as a focal feature of the room, and also for dramatic effect: full sunlight falling over the bed would light the room and simultaneously create a romantic setting. Upon walking in the door there is a circular rug, this rug is welcoming and sets the room’s tone instantly, tying together all the points of the room’s theme effortlessly. Further on from this rug is a small, circular table, which has set upon it a vase of purple flowers. These blooms again add to the lived-in, spring feel of the room along with the potted plant beside the door. The cup of tea – also purple – gives the sense that the owner of the room has just ducked out, and intends to return. The chairs are comfortable and welcoming, and add an aspect of intimacy. The other rug, which bears the same pattern as the curtains, the rocking chair and the doorframe, make the bed more welcoming, and also give relief to the white floor. The lack of electronic devices and the use of patterns and not just block colours, makes the room feel less of a modern place, and more of a place where one can get away from the bustle and pace of contemporary life. The complete effect of the room is one of an intimate, lived-in, welcoming and homey place of refuge and rest. | |

| For this room, I chose a purple, red and white color scheme. The white carpet helps to accent the red and purple coloring that occurs therefore making the colors stand out more. The purple walls keep the room interesting without being overpowering. I chose some very open and decorative windows in order to give the room a more open feel and to help keep the room filled with natural light throughout the day. The windows all look out upon a scenic view of the gardens outside of the house.
Upon entering the room, the first thing you would notice would be the bright red carpet under your feet. This bright color keeps the room from being dull as it might have been if it were only to be purple and white, as both colors can be subtle when used together. Next to the carpet is a white desk, which blends in nicely with the rest of the room. It is located right under a window so that while someone is working at the desk they can still enjoy a nice view. Along with the computer, there is a vase of flowers. The flowers make the room feel more roomy and comfortable and the red vase again accents the room to draw attention to it. Next to the desk, a red lamp is there to add more light to the workspace and, as the other red items in the room, adds an interesting bright color to the scheme.
On the other side of the door there’s a full length mirror, which gives the room a more traditional view while at the same time making the room comfortable. There’s a billboard located between two windows to fill up wall space and for the convenience of the user. The clock above the bed is for the same purpose and is also white to add an accent to the purple walls. The bed has a dark grey and light gray head and footboard and a bright red bed covering. This comfy bed is located between two windows and makes the room feel very open because it’s pushed back against the wall. The light coming in from the windows will make the bed look prettier. Next to the bed is a side table, red and white to fir the color scheme, with a candle to make the room smell good and a plant to make the room feel homier. Finally, there’s a gray coffee table in the middle of the room with a fishbowl, because pets are a must have, and a red couch to relax on and talk with friends.

| <center> When I was trying to think of how to design the room I really wanted it to have a purpose, so after a bit of thinking I finally decided that I would design the room as though it were for Gryffindor Head Girl. From there, I took the classic maroon and gold color scheme and decorated accordingly. In order to gain access to the room you would have to give the portrait at the end of the stairs (seen in the bottom right hand of the overview) the correct password. The room isn't bright or flashy, but it is accented with Gryffindor house colors. It definitely has a sophisticated and elegant touch to it. I chose maroon for the walls, instead of covering it with tapestries so that the room wouldn't look to busy. I chose a simple gray for the floor, because the Head Girl's dorm is inside Hogwarts castle after all. On one side of the room, you can find a desk with a small lamp and a wizards chess set. The desk is also used for studying though. Speaking of studying, look just to the right of the big nice comfy bed, and you'll find a bookcase. Next to that is a confiscated item that was retrieved before another Weasley prank. On the other side of the bed, there is a standing full length mirror... This room was designed for a girl after all, so it would be used to check up on her appearance before heading off to class. As for the bed itself, I added on a few decorative pillows to show further house pride. Across the room is a small armchair on a rug, in front of a fireplace. The armchair could be used for many things, like simply relaxing or just a change of scenery from a desk while working on an essay. The fireplace can be used for a Floo call, to home... or the Headmaster's office in case there is an emergency. Lastly, seeing as how pets are allowed at Hogwarts I decided to make a small place for the cat. A pet is a must have, and you would want your pet to be happy. I put a small rug for the cat to sleep on as well as a scratching post. The scratching post goes along with the rest of the rooms color scheme, and also acts as another place for the cat to nap. There is a lot of authority and responsibility that comes with being Head Girl, and in turn, the decisions that one makes may not always please everyone. For this reason, I chose not to put any windows into the room, so that trouble makers wouldn't be able to vandalize the room... or steal back any of the forbidden items that were confiscated. | |

| Well I’m not really someone who has knowledge in home decorating. But I take this as a challenge for myself and want to have a room which is very rare in terms of its design especially with the color of its walls and floor.
The room which I created has very few decorations. I am thinking that I am really designing my room. And since I am not that person who regularly cleans her room, I prefer having few furniture and ornaments for my room so that it will be easy for me to clean them.
Well let me explain to you why this room has that. What is the purpose of the furniture or electronic I placed inside my decorated room?
Without further ado, let me start with the color of my wallpaper and flooring. I chose those designs because it is quite extraordinary. To have neon color wallpapers in a room or house is not a regular thing. And since I have plain colored bedroom, I want to try having those colorful wallpaper.
The color of the door and window is yellow to represent my house, Hufflepuff. The bed is just simple a simple once since I do not really fancy those “Princess like” beds. And since that bed is space wise having cabinets beneath it. It will save more space for my room for other furniture.
I used a different lamp shade just to compliment the design and color of the room. The tack board is important to me in real life that’s why I included it as well in my designed room (though that tack board is more organized that what I really have).
I placed some musical instrument since I really love playing one though I do not know how to use the violin. Those bears were placed as decorations. I placed them so that the room will seems to be well occupied.
Since I love playing video games, I made sure that I have some computers to play with and that classic dance pad. The table and the pillows on the floor are intended to be there in case of have a visitor. It will be much better if there will be something where they can sit comfortably.
This might be a simple room and I believe that a room really reflects its owner’s characteristics. Didn’t I mention it? I am just a simple person.

| Here is my room design. The color scheme was very easily picked - it is actually very similar to the colors my bedroom will be next time I get to decorate it. I just love that shade of pink, and matched with various shades of gray I think it looks great. I tried to place everything in a way that would allow room for moving and comfort. My current bedroom is very small, and I can't even access one side of my bed because it's so close to the wall and the access is blocked by a small desk I have, so space was very important. Also, I don't like cluttered space, hence my decision to keep the decoration simple. The bed does need to be regular size for me - I move around a lot, and twin size beds just don't really give me enough room. As for the curtains, they are a necessity - too much sunlight wakes me up. The dresser is there for practical purposes - I need somewhere to put clothes - and I decided to put it on the same wall as the bed simply because I knew I also wanted to put in a desk, and I wanted that to be on the far wall. The rug on the floor adds a touch of color, and the bean bag is simply something that I've always wanted. It just looks so comfortable! Though I probably wouldn't be able to get up and out of it. The bulletin board is there because I just like to keep track of things. I do a lot of countdowns to various events, I mark important dates, I love having pictures of people pinned up on it, and I just think it adds something to a room as well. As for the candle, I decided to put it there for ambiance, though it probably would mainly serve to collect dust. The plant is something else that I like having around inside a house, as long as my ginger kitty (Mr. Whiskers) would leave it alone and keep to his own little play thing instead. The cell phone is there because I have one, though one thing you can't see is that it's probably dead - I barely ever use it and only remember that I need to recharge it when it doesn't have battery left. As for the laptop, that's the one thing I need most. I'm obsessed with mine, and though the color may not fit the rest of the room, orange is actually my favorite color. | |

| Oh, hello there! I see you decided to take a peek into my little ole’ room. You know I could hex you for that right? No? Oh well, muggles these days, thinking it’s okay to sneak into a witch’s room! Oh well, you’re already here, I might as well show you my evil lair of doom! First, you will notice that my room, is in fact, not green. What is this? A Slytherin with the love for the color purple? I may be evil, but evil has to be stylish! I chose this shade of purple because it’s very close to my favorite shade of purple. My carpet, which looks like mine lights through-out the floor, makes the color of the walls pops. Next my bed. I know It’s not completely in sync with my wall shade, but it’s really comfy. The bed is made from the tears of my enemies- okay, just a joke, but it’s made from the softest material I’ve ever had to encounter. You have to be comfortable, right? And when I’m reading dark arts books, it helps to have the lamp, which has red on it- I know, wrong colors, but I had no choice. I was in a hurry when trying to put my fabulous room together! Evil still has to have light! Speaking of light, the night desk I picked goes so wonderfully with my rug, which is made from unicorn hair and ties the whole room together. The window- well I didn’t have much choice in it, but I really loved the Chinese feel it brings to the room, which is why I chose the closet. I wanted things to at least match in my room! The dresser also came with the closet. I have so many clothes, one place wouldn’t be enough for me. I also store extra books in there, since I was unable to find a book shelf. If you look behind my dresser, you will see my message board. Even evil is a bit organized! I post all my upcoming evil shenanigans on my board so I know when to do them. I’m sure you were expecting a snake in my room, but at last, I do not. I have a fish- er…well….my fifth fish anyway. I have the tendency to forget to feed them, but I’ve had this one for three weeks! I know you see my silly little lap top. Well…..I need to know where my enemies are going to be! Yeah, I guess you can call me a stalker. Well, I will disagree with that! And my clock…well…I have to know when to be there to get my enemy now don’t I?! PS: The link no longer works, so I had to go find something very close to this, which didn't have a lot of the things, hence why there's not a lot of different stuff. | |

| The Ravenclaw Common Room
So obviously with this design I have completely re-made the common room and made it more modern. But I still hold on to the power that knowledge brings for Ravenclaws. I have tried my hardest to get the silver in but it doesn't really work, but the different shades of blue do.
So there is a silver door to the common room we have blue walls chosen purely because we Ravenclaws a staunch in our pride and have the best colour, blue! The walls may be plain but I have kept it real with a patterned deep shag carpet. These sorts of carpets maintain their bounce long term and this carpet also has silver stripes in it too.
We have two windows on either wall as way up in the towers, we Ravies like to look out over the grounds and also they make the room very light and airy. Always having the blue curtains, of course!
The three book cases are built in to the wall. I chose to do this for two reasons. The first is that they are space savers and don't get in the way and take up room. Second we have to have a lot of bookcases in the common room as we can draw much of our knowledge and I think we would have a lot of unhappy Ravenclaw's if we did not have many bookcases.
We also have singular places to sit next to the book cases so that Ravie's can sit quietly on there own and loose themselves in a good book, again blue in keeping with the whole colour scheme.
We have a general sitting area with three blue sofa's with lots of comfy cusions each. This is where us Ravie's love to sit down with friends to have friendly chats but also engage in debates over different classes, essays etc. You can find many a Ravie using the coffee table to write up many rolls of parchment. Or the table can be just used as a drinks holder as the name would suggest. Nicely decorated with a vase full of flowers to add some colour and niceties to the room.
We can also see on the wall the Ravenclaw House notice board. Used to keep each student informed of the many tournament's and the rounds information. Also containing schedules for exams and study groups which form frequently with Ravenclaws. I chose to do this because we all like to be well informed of current events.
We also see a piano in the corner. Being know for knowledge and learning, we Ravenclaws also like to venture in to the musical arts also. What better instrument to learn than the sophisticated piano.
Ah, I see Wednesday Natalie Puddleduck's cat has found herself down to the common room also. Most Ravenclaw students prefer cats being that they are a more sophisticated animals.
