Where do you think our irrational fears come from. I dont mean fears which can be explained such as a fear of dogs because you got bitten by one as a young child, but totally irrational ones

I wasjust saying in GHCR about Micks irrational fear of open water and drowning. He has never had a water based accident or known anyone too so its completely irrational. There was someone on the titanic who drowned with his exact same name - maybe it was him in a past life and thats where the fear comes from lol.

I have a couple of completely irrational phobias.

The biggest one is being buried alive and the other one is needles and I havent a clue here they came from but Ive always had them

Yeah... I have irrational fears...

One of them happens to burned alive. (and I live in a state surrounded by ice) It just gives me shivers...
Another is flying. I've never flown before so I'm not sure where it came from.
Garbage Disposals. lol. I always think if I go near it'll gnaw my hand. after Final Dest. 2... it got me scared.

Hmm, I think for me my irrational fear is dogs.

I don't like them, and will swerve on the pavement or even cross the road to avoid walking next to one. It doesn't come from a bad experience when I was little - I've never had a bad experience with a dog. I just...have a fear of them - no matter how big or small, though obviously the bigger ones are scarier :D

My irreational fear is, well, dying actually
I am just so scared of it. Like is it the end of everythng? Is there really heaven? I am so scared!

Big dogs are awsome Amy. Lets see..... Every since I was little, I have been afraid of walking on bridges, going over them, anything to do with having no edges. I just always been afriad of them. I know when we go over one, like in Mobile to get there because of all the water, i keep my eyes close and pray to God that it doesnt cave in or anything. Or when my mom drives over the one on the dirt road where I live, I think it's going to either cave in or my mom will run off the side because its old and someone is always spilling grease on it. Oh and death. Always have and always will. And pillows. I sleep with thin ones so if I turn over and lay my face in them, I can breath. I am afraid that if I dont have thin pillows, I'll turn over and suffacate. I think thats plain weird and my cousin only has thick ones, so I give them to her and lay my head on the bed. And where my mom works at, they have those freezers that wont open from the inside. I know when i have to go in there to get drinks out or food, someone has to have the door open because Im afraid the door wont open and no one will rememeber I'm in there. Thats been forever.

oh, and the dark. nothing bad has ever happened to me in the dark, ut I am terrified of it.

I guess I Am Legend didnt help much.......
