Emmalynn was about to bite whatever had yanked her tail, but was pulled into the water by a slimy tentacle.

Elladora had dozed off against the tree after becoming immensly bored with the going-ons of her surrounding peers. Now, she was awake and following Emmalynn's tiger form with her eyes.

As the Giant Squid pulled on Emmalynn's tail, Elladora couldn't help but burst out in laughter. She walked over to Emmalynn-tiger and scratched her behind the ears. "You're just an adorable little tiger," Elladora told Emmalynn.

Shadow nodded in reply to Jamie's question, moving slightly closer to him as she watched Emmalynn's adventures with the Giant Squid.

Emmalynn growled at Elladora before the giant squid pulled her wholebody into the murky lake. She fought out of the squid's grasp and hauled herself out off the water. She wore a huge frown that looked extremely odd on her tiger form. She looked at the lake and growled. Damn squid, she thought. Emmalynn sauntered next to Elladora and shook, spraying her friend with water.

"Ah! Emmalynn!" Elladora scolded. She muttered a quick spell under her breath and cleaned off her friend and herself.

"That's what you get staying a tiger for too long," Elladora told her.

Emmalynn transformed back. "But Ella! You know I love being a tiger!" Emmalynn pouted.

"Yet, you never seem to like the compliment," Elladora said thoughtfully. She giggled at Emmalynn and walked dangerously close to the water's edge.

Emmalynn took advantage of her friend's position and gave her a shove.

Elladora feel into the lake with a squeal. "EMMALYNN!!" she shouted at her. Using a spell she had recently come accross, she shot some of the water from the water at Emmalynn with the force of a cannon.

Emmalynn was pushed to the ground. She quickly got up and tackled her friend playfully in the water.

Elladora skillfully swam out of the way, backstroking towards the center of the Black Lake. "C'mon Maly," Elladora joked, "I need a buddy." She dove underwater, inpersonating a merperson perfectly in her dive.

Emmalynn took off her robe and threw it onto the shore. She took a deep breath and dove, less skilfully, after Elladora.

Underwater, Elladora made sure to cast a spell to allow air to both Emmalynn and herself. She streamlined into a corkscrew and ended in a rounding backbend. She loved being in the water.

Elladora bagan spinning, her long black hair trailing behind her, when a familiar merman came towards them quickly and stared at them frustratedly. Elladora waved 'hi'.

Emmalynn hid behind her friend. She hated the merpeople...

The merman stared at them, "Leave," he screamed in mermish.

"Why?" Elladora asked in his tongue. The merman looked taken aback at the knowledge of his language.

Emmalynn hid herself more behind her friend.

The merman looked behind him, then back to the girls, he bowed slightly and left. Elladora motioned upwards so Emmalynn would follow her.

Emmalynn swam up to the surface, and took a breath of fresh air.

Elladora giggled. "Maly, he can't drown us when we've got a spell that gives us air. Though I suppose he could stab us or something." Elladora shrugged and swam slowly over to the water's edge.

"Stab us?!" Emmalynn yelled, frantically swimming to the bank and jumping out.

Elladora follwed Emmalynn calmly, she had no fear of merpeople and had even bothered to learn their tongue. "Wow, Maly... you're funny."

Elladora laid down on the grass and drifted off to sleep, squirming a bit, until she was comfortable.

Elladora jumped up and squeaked, immediatly withdrawing her wand and shooting sparks at whoever poked her.

Elladora was struck by a revelation. "Aguamenti!" A stream of water fired at Emmalynn's shield. THe overall effect was very pretty.

Zelda swam up to the banks of the Black Lake and noticed two figures.

Behind her wall of water, Elladora shot sparks to follow the stream, splattering the shield in blues.

Emmalynn watched and added in some greens, making it look like liquid fireworks.

Elladora laughed and allowed her sparks to vanish. She sat down on the grass and started drawing in the air.

Emmalynn also laughed, but then remembered the letter she had received from her father.

"Ella, my dad wants me to come home for Easter Holiday... He sent me a letter and warned me not to refuse," she said softly, with sadness etched into every word.

Elladora was at a loss for words. "Flip a coin? Go into hiding?" She began fidgeting around trying to get her to understand that she didn't want to make the decision.
