"And mine...and I saved yours," said Natalie to Shadow, "thats new."

Shadow shrugged.
"I try to." She gently took Holly's arm and hovered a hand over the wound, white magic flowing from it over the cut.

"Nice one," Natalie commended Shadow.

Holly smiled a little at the tickling sensation.
"Thank you" she said, examining her arm, "I think ill take George to Hagrid.....see if he can heal him or something....ill see you dudes later,"

Shadow bowed her head.

Natalie smiled.

"Hey...how do you think George got tied up?" Natalie asked.

"The death eater must have found him." Shadow said.

"Mmm...but I'm not so sure...he looks like he was tied by hand...and not by magic, and no death eater would do that," said Natalie thoughfully.

"Dunno then. That guy certainly obeyed the death eater ways when I last met him." Shadow said.

"Probably," said Natalie, "all do, but you don't...I cannot believe they did that to you Shadow."

"Come on, you have three powerful half demons wandering the face of the earth. What would you do if you were a power hungry dark lord?" Shadow said.

"I dunno...that must have been really awful for you Shadow." sighed Natalie sadly.

"Not so much the aftermath, it was getting the mark and then trying to find a solution." Shadow said.

"When Jane got her tattoo, she said you can get them burnt off..." said Natalie, knowing in her heart that that wouldn't work.

Shadow shook her head.

"Well...you can block Voldemorts calls can't you...your part demon," said Natalie desperately.

"I can block my mind against a full demon, Voldemort isn't that hard." Shadow said.

"Thats good," said Natalie.

Shadow smiled slightly, rubbing her arm again.

"Get lost Voldy!" Natalie yelled at Shadows arm, a smile playing on her face, "I don't think he can hear me."

Shadow tried to smile, but it was unconvincing.
"I don't think so, no..."

Natalie hugged Shadow.

"I feel so sorry for you...I wish you didn't have to be in pain all the time...I wish you could cry or show emotion without the consequences...I wish there was some way you could come to Hogsmeade and have fun with us," said Natalie, tires forming in her eyes for her friend, "but know this...I will alway be here for you...all you need to do is call me with a patronus...and you too Holly...and I'll...we'll be there."

Shadow smiled slightly, wishing that she could show the emotions she wanted to, but didn't want to risk hurting anyone.
"I think I may be able to do better than that."

"Were lucky to have you Shadow...no matter how much you think otherwise," Natalie said, smiling but letting tears roll down her cheeks all the same.

Shadow looked down.
"Demons are creatures of death and destruction. Are you sure that you want one around?"

"Yes....but one that can control herself, and thats you Shadow," said Natalie.

Shadow didn't want to correct her friend, so kept her mouth shut.

Natalie smiled.

Shadow tried to smile back.

"It doesn't matter," said Natalie, "I get the jist of what your trying to do." and she smiled.

Shadow nodded, taking the emotion off her face.

Holly reentered, looked at Natalies sad face, and Shadows awkwardness and said, "Whats happenin?"

"Not much...we were talking about how sad I am that Shadow can't have that much fun...poor Shad," said Natalie sadly.

Shadow was lost in her thoughts, not listening to what was going on.

Natalie cleared her throat awkwardly.

"Lets do something fun...homework?" Natalie asked.

Holly gave the nerd a look.
"No thank you," she said lovingly.

Natalie gave the....oh...Holly's perfect...Natalie can't put a name to her....a look.

"Ok then," Natalie said.

Shadow shook herself out of her trance and looked at the others.

Natalie smiled.

"Daydreaming a bit there, were you Shadow?" Natalie asked.

"Talking to my emotions." Shadow said sheepishly.

Natalie smiled.

"First sign of madness, talking to yourself," said Natalie

Shadow raised an eyebrow.
"Have you met them yet?"

"Yes....do you mean the emotions that control your humanhood....oh....now I see why you need to have a little chat with them," said Natalie, realising.

"Because I'm not supposed to feel them, they have to find something else to do with their energy. Unfortunately, they personified themselves. It doesn't half annoy me when they're constantly fighting." Shadow explained.

"Ahh...so it's a little bit like fighting the imperius curse," said Natalie.

Shadow nodded.
"They all want to take control at one time or another. Normally it's a mix of them."
