She tightened her grip and continued to glare.

Bella was furious with Gladdin.
She picked her up and sat her down on one of the tables so they were of equal height.
''Gladdin'', Bella wispered in a dangerous voice, ''You are going to tell me''.
Bella smiled evilly at the house elf.
She took out her wand and pointed it at her threatiningly.

Oddie walked into Hog's Head and looked around, letting out a small sigh. Good no one who I know is in here[i] she thought as she walked over to the counter and threw some money down. "Firewiskey and lots of it" she said to the bartender. The man pulled up five cups and poured firewiskey into each one. He than removed the money from the counter as Oddie picked up the cups and made her way over to the nearest table.

She looked at the glasses and felt even worst. She hated drinking so why was she starting now? [i]Too much to handle she answered herself. She grabed the first cup and quickly drowned it. She than took the next and swollowed that one just as fast. As she placed the cup down she felt a warm tear run down her face. She quickly whiped it away as she grabed the next firewhisky. She drank half of that one before she slamed it onto the table and tears flowed down her face.

Emmalynn, in Hogsmeade after a meeting up at the castle, had already stopped by the Three Broomsticks; it was far to packed for her tastes. She walked into the Hog's Head and saw Aberforth cleaning a table nearby.

"Hey, Aberforth. How are you?" she asked, appraoching him. He grunted before looking up.

"Not much. My pub has been getting more customers..." he said, sounding bored. "I get all the crazies... Like that woman at the bar." He pointed to Oddie. "Down some firewhiskey and then started to sob..."

Emmalynn looked at Oddie. Oh no, she thought as she strode toward her friend. She sat down next to Oddie and put a hand on her shoulder.

"Someone wise once told me, in this very pub, that drinking away your emotions doesn't solve anything," Emmalynn said. Oddie had told her that when Severus had died and Emmalynn had come here to drink. "Tell me about it...?" she inquired lightly.

Oddie looked up and saw that it was Emmalynn. She sat down beside her and Oddie looked away from her when she said that someone had told her that drinking away your emotions doesn't solve anything,

"It might not solve anything but it helps to dull the pain" Oddie said looking at the empty bottle with red eyes. She wanted to go and retireve another bottle but she knew that Emmalynn would stop her. "I'd rather pass out from alochol than stay sober. At least when I pass out I don't dream nor do I think."

Emmalynn sighed. "I also remember that that is what I said to the wise person, Oddie. You know this isn't going to help!" she pleaded. "You're just going to wake up with a hangover and I will not give you a potion for it."

Oddie gave her a weak smile and said "I'll just need more firewiskey and I can fix that hangover. When your passed out you also don't feel the hangover."

Oddie knew that Emmalynn was right though. She knew that Emmalynn would win sooner or later and Oddie would stop drinking. She sighed as she lety her head fall and hit the table. There she started to bawl again

Emmalynn was rubbing Oddie's back when her head hit the table. She sighed, getting annoyed.

"Oddie, if you don't give in, I'm going to take you outside and hose you down with some really cold water," she threatened. "You know what you're doing is stupid... Take your own advice, Oddie... For your son's sake," Emmalynn said sternly.

"He's better off him he had a family to watch him" Oddie said not picking up her head. "A mother and a father who would be there for him always. Never having to worry about his saftey. A life where he can go out and play with kids his own age." Oddie picked up her head and looked at Emmalynn. She blinked her eyes a few times beacuse there appeared before her three Emmalynn's. "He deserves a better mother."

Emmalynn almost slapped Oddie.

"Whatever you think he 'deserves', he wants you! Stop being stupid!" Emmalynn exclaimed, turning a few heads in the bar. "Now, get up so I can give you the dosing I promised!"

Emmalynn stood and waited for Oddie's reaction. Emmalynn'd really do it, even if she didn't want to.

Oddie didn't relize that Emmalynn hit her til a few minutes afgter she did it. Thats when a confused looked crossed her face and once Emmalynn threatened her Oddie tried to get to her feet and run out the door but she was too drunk and ended up running into the table beside them and knocking it over. Oddie tried once again to run away but just as before she ran into another table knocking this one down too.

Oddie sat on the floor now giving up. She started to weep

Emmalynn, a deep believer in 'tough love', walked over to the weeping Oddie and pulled her up by the arms. She stared Oddie in the eyes.

"You are in for a wake up call, Miss Riddle," she sneered, turning on her teacher mode. She started to drag the intoxicated Oddie toward the door.

"No don't" Oddie cried out as she tried to break free. She was kicking and screaming trying with al her might to break free but couldn't. By the time they had reached the door Oddie started to fling herself around but soon gave up to eshaustion. She relaxed herself and let Emmalynn drag her away.

Emmalynn sat Oddie down on a bench. The sun was out, but behind the clouds.

"Oddie, tell me why you're doing this," Emmalynn commanded. She pulled out her wand and held it by her side as incentive.

"Cause" Oddie said and looked at the ground. She knew she was being stupid. "Cause of Mathew. He's such a great boy with such a horrible life."

"He grew up in consent fear" Oddie said as mroe tears flowed down her face. "He ddin't really have a chance to be like the other childern. When he was growing up I always had to keep him hiddened in fear that someone would kill him. Emmalynn it was my fault his life was in danger. Also he didn't have a father. No one to turn to when he needed a father the most."

"What right do you have to say he had a bad childhood, Oddie?" she asked bluntly. "Has he ever complained? Has he ever, even once, blamed you for anything?"

"No" Oddie replied. "That's cause he's too nice and too caring. He'd put others before him before he complained. He did have a bad childhood."

Oddie looked out at the streets and more tears flowed from her eyes. She turned to Emmalynn and said "I am unfit to raise I child. I shouldn't of had Mathew. It was a mistake."

Emmalynn glared and doused Oddie with cold water.

"Are you even listening to yourself?! You love that boy more than your own life, and you just called him a mistake!!" she yelled. "He's a student up at the castle, right? I should call him down here to explain to you why he doesn't care about his childhood... That kid loves you so much, it's nauseating! Why can't you see that?!" she continued.

"Aguimenti!" she cried, dousing Oddie again.

Once the water splattered Oddie's face it seamed to have woken her up a bit. She looked at Emmalynn and had to agree with her. Her son did appear happy and she was right, Oddie did love her son. More tears filled her eyes.

"Your right Emmalynn I dont know what I was thinking." she cried holding her face in her hands feeling ashamed for what she had just said

Emmalynn nodded approvingly. She used her wand to dry Oddie and sat down next to her.

"There you go... That's much better. Now, let's get you some coffee..." she said, rubbing her friend's back.

Oddie felt her clothes become dry and knew that Emmalynn had charmed them to dry. She turned to face Emmaylynn and gave her a hug.

"Thanks Emmalynn. If it weren't for you I'm afraid of what I might of done." Oddie said to her. "Your a great friend."

Emmalynn pretended to blush. "Aw, Oddie! You're embarassing me!" she said, laughing. She stood up and offered her hand to Oddie. "Coffee?"

"The castle, it is, then!" Emmalynn said energetically. She grabbed Oddie's hand and started walking through the wixarding town, toward Hogwarts.

Oddie felt herself being pulled to her feet as Emmalynn directed her towards the castle.

"Thanks Emmalynn once again" Oddie said to her after they were walking for a little bit.
