Dare the Master

First topic message reminder :

Holly placed the sign "Dare the Master" on the table top and sat on one of the two vacant seats behind it.
She was in behind a portrait on the seventh floor, and ready to be dared.
In front of her was the advertisement she had placed around school and in Hogsmede, "COME DARE THE DARER, Holly Bristol will do just about any dare you dare her to. Three sickles for each dare Holly completes. Seventh floor. First come first serve,"

"Patronus' for the dare," said Natalie.

"Expecto Patronum," said Hayley, eyes squinted as she though of happy things. Just then, a silvery, whispy kitten shot out of her wand.

"Well done Hayley...have you even produced one of those before?" asked Natalie.

Shadow warily pulled out her wand and tried to cast a patronus. There was a loud bang and she was thrown back into a wall.

"Yeah a few times I tried in the Summer Hols." Hayley gasped as Shadow as thrown onto the wall. "Oh, are you okay?"

Shadow picked herself up again, shaking slightly.
"I can't get a hang of a wand."

Natalie laughed at Shadows remark.

"Well done Hayley...I learned how when I was a first year too...but I can't use magic in front of mum and dad," said Natalie.

"Hmm," replied Hayley, and then said, "So what are the patronuses for again?"

"To send out messages to tell the people to come and watch our little display," explained Natalie.

Eliza and Zeke concentrated, and Eliza sent an ermine, while Zeke sent a phoenix. They were quite solid, since they had had a very happy thought.

"Maybe you just need lots of practice, Shadow." Eliza said.

"I remember now," replied Hayley watching all the silver animals hover about the place. She smiled, as her kitten bounded around her feet.

Natalie swooned at the kittens beauty.

"Thats a really graceful patronus," said Natalie fondly.

"Shall we?" Zeke said. Eliza's ermine stared at Eliza's patrounus with intense curiosity.

"Thanks," Hayley replied smiling. "Yours is awesome too, very.." she struggled to find the right word, "Unique,"

"Thanks....it was a big shock when I produced it for the first time," said Natalie, "it was huge to me....but you get used to it."

Holly too, cast hers, and a silver spider monkey appeared, and bounded around.

"Thats a really cute patronus," said Natalie, as she produced another one non-verbally.

"Merci," she said, as the spider monkey skipped.

Natalie produced another patronus.

"So how many are we doing?" Eliza asked, and laughed. No doubt the effect of all the patrounuses. Se made a dozen more, as did Zeke.

Hayley flicked her wand and produced another four or five patronuses. "How're we gonna get these round the school without teachers noticing?" she enquired.

"No one really knows," Holly said.

"Hmm," said Hayley, and she shrugged her shoulders.

"The teachers can notice...they can come and watch...I'm going to send another patronus to the Weasley twins...we'll need their help...ok, I think we have enough...now we need to give them our messages to each class...and I know a spell we can put on them to let them all have the same messager.

Natalie moved her wand in a circular motion and said, "Multimessago Patronum."

The she said to the patronus' "Go to each class, and tell the students and teachers to meet in the Entrance Courtyard near the Viaduct at half past two," said Natalie, and as soon as the message was received by all the patronus' they were off.

Natalie produced another patronus.

"Go to the Weasley twins, and tell them we are having a bit of a laugh and tell them we need their help," said Natalie, and that patronus set off at high speed too.

Two minutes later, the Weasley twins appeared in the room in front of them.

"Um...we got your call," said one of the twins...Natalie assumed it was Fred.

"And got here as quick as possible," George replied.

"So...putting on a little fireworks display, are we?" asked Fred, a grin spreading across his face.

"Nice to know that our young pranksters our following in our footsteps...and I wondered why you two," George pointed at Natalie and Holly, "ordered a crate of Weasley Wizard Weezes fireworks...you find the wet start ones safer I presume?"

"Oh aye," said Natalie, smiling, "my mum always told me not to play with fire."

"Ours too," said the twins in unison, "but we don't listen to her." They laughed.

Shadow looked at the twins from the shadows of the room.

The twins waved at her.

"Hey Shadow...long time, no see," said George.

"How're you keeping?" asked Fred.

Shadow nodded to them.
"Fine, although you do realise that the Senate of my home dimension are frantic, because Raven has too much spare time. She pranks the lot of them with your stuff."

The twins cracked into identical smile.

"All in a days work," said Fred.

"You're driving Arias and Meran up the wall, because they can't find out where all the fireworks came from. They don't exist in our dimension, and Raven's been letting off a lot. The only thing they've found that works is to send them to another dimension." Shadow said, shaking her head.

Holly watched, unsure of what was happening.

Shadow sensed Holly's unsureness and turned to her.
"What's up?"

Hayley grinned at the twins, they always were so funny. "Right," she said, and nodded to Fred and George. "I'm not really one for pranking, so I figure I'll need the most help!" she laughed.

Natalie looked concered.

"Anything wrong Holly?" Natalie asked.

The twins meanwhile, tried to appologise to Shadow.

"Oh come on Shad...we didn't know," said Fred, still laughing at the idea of sending the fireworks to another dimension.

"Pwease forgive us Shadow," said George, putting on the puppey eyes.

Hayley laughed at the stupidness of the twins.

Shadow smiled slightly.
"I was actually quite amused. In all my years of living in that dimension, that had to be the best prank we ever pulled on the Senate. Although, if Arias ever catches up with you, run as if Voldie had just announced that he's your dad."

"I dunno," Holly answered Shadows question.
Between seeing the patronus' and the people around her, she was having flashbacks of the worst night of her life.
Black and white images of her dead parents flahsed in her eyes, and Holly had to sit on a near by chair.
What was happening?

Hayley understood what was hapenning to Holly. Momentarily she forgot about her patronus and it vanished. She sat down beside Holly, and rubbed her shoulder. "You okay?" she whispered.

Holly blinked several times.
"I dunno," she said again, "This feels weird though,"

Natalie knew what was happening too...and she sat at Holly's other side.

"That's them, isn't it...you can see them," said Natlie quietly.

Shadow saw the visions, and closed her eyes, trying to block them.
"Holly, this is the past, there is nothing you can do..."

Hayley hugged Holly, and whispered into her ear, "Don't think about it, it'll just make it worse," They were words of hope she though would make her feel better. This had happened before, and she knew what to do.

"Holly...please don't think about that...Hayley...shall we take her outside for a bit of air?" asked Natalie.

"I cant stop it though," Holly said loudly, wanting to make things clearer to the surrounding people, "Im invoulintarily thinking about it,"
She blinked again determinded to stop thinking. Alas, they did not stop.

"Holly, will you let me inside your mind?" Shadow asked gently.

Hayley carefully said sorry, not wanting to upset Holly. She wondered what wuold happen if Shadow entered her mind.

Holly shrugged.
"Yeah, if you want," she said, thumping her head with her hand as if to throw the visions out.

"Ok...just stay calm....and you can yell at me all you like...but that will not make things better...I learned that the hard way," said Natalie soothingly, "Hayley and I are here for you...and you don't have to be strong all the time...you can cry you know."

Shadow nodded and stood in front of Holly, putting her hands on Holly's temples.
"Don't fight it." She said softly before allowing her mind inside Holly's.

Hayley held her breath, and watched intensly. She stood beside Natalie, who she could tell, was equally as nervous as she was.

It was a strange sensation...Shadow being in her mind, with her Riley thoughts, with her past all inside of her.
Holly shivered.
