Band Auditions

Holly set up the stage with a flick of her wand and settled herself behind a desk in front of the stage.
She and the other band members were looking for another guitarist.
She placed her clipboard in front of her and let the auditions begin.

((I am in the band, aren't I? So am on the pannal with you??))

((yeah sure lol me you, eliza, her brother, shadow and raven.... thats it i THINK....shall we vote a manager?))

Eliza and Zeke walked in.
"Hello." They said.

((i should think so...))

Natalie entered and sat down at the pannel table and waited.

"Hey guys....has anyone signed up yet?" she asked.

((I vote Holly))

"Zilch," Holly said looking at the clipboard, "Im just hoping any random guy will turn up. Thats sexist actually. But id prefer it to be a guy i think.....,"
She trailed off.
"Never mind,"

"Let's hope." Eliza said smiling, sitting down.

((Fourth Year! Yay!))

Natalie nodded in approval.

"Me too." she said, "but it's really gonna be down to how they play."

"Yeah," Holly said, "Thats right. Anyone wanna audition?" she called out to the people passing by, "ANYONE? ANYONE AT ALL?"

((WOW! Well done dude! Congrats! Im still only a little secondie.....))

((I got up to third year))

"EVEN A TOAD," Natalie put in.

"Yeah, even a toad!" Holly said.

((lucky lucy! lol ill be there soon....mark my words))

((Yay.....I'm going to my cousins for a hot-tub party tonight...soon lol...so I won't be on here all nightt soz))

"Come on people....were cool peeps," said Natalie.

((Congrats))

Shadow and Raven walked in, looking around. They spotted the others and walked over.
"Hello." They said in unison.

((Gotta go, be back later!))

"That we are!" Holly agreed nodding.

((WHOS PARTY? WHY ARENT I INVITED??? AHHHH))

((Oh, at my cousin Alisons house and because it is sort of the celebrate the fact that she got her beauty school course nearly done lol....soz I couldn't invite you...I'll ask her can you come some other time...is that cool?))

"Yeah, we rule," said Natalie, grinning.

((I was just kiddin dolly, lmao and yeah sounds cool heehee))

"Yes we do- NOW WILL SOMEONE PLEASE AUDITION TO BE GUITARIST?"

"im up for the trumpet!" (for obvious reasons!)
Jamie walked in with his trumpet under his harm,
"hey wait! who runs this thing?" he asked quickly staring about the place

"Hey Jamison....we are the band.....no-name" Natalie waved at her friends and herself.

((Yay...another person who is actually here with the instrument they play))

Jamie looked at her,
"okay, warm up shall we?" Jamie walkedinto the centre of the room and plced his music stand infront of him

"Ok...go on then...warm up a bit," said Natalie.

Holly nodded.
"Yeah, we dont have a name, and we dont have a manager. And we need another guitarist....and another trumpeteer apparently,"
Holly grinned.
"Go on then," she said.

((BAND MEMBERS- SHOULD WE VOTE FOR A MANAGER?))

((I DID...YOU! I have to go peeps. Cheerio))

"Ok...you go Jamie," said Natalie.

((Aw really? well that was lovely of you! lol, i cant think of who to vote for so ill wait till last lol thank you darlin! lol))

"Go ahead Jimbo," Holly urged.

Shadow and Raven watched, Shadow smiling slightly. Raven turned to Holly.
"Well, we turned up to try out for dancers, you don't tend to see our instruments in bands."

Holly nodded thinking.
"Well we could be a different kinda band. Your insturments could be seen AND you could be dancers....if you want?"

"I don't know, but it's up to you guys really." Raven said, shrugging.

"Mm, alright, whatever you fancy. You two can audition after Jamie....if he ever starts playing that is,"
She grinned.

The twins nodded and smiled slightly.
"Ok."

"Settled then!" Holly said happily, "Okay Jamie, anytime you want to audition, you can. I mean we all have till this time next year, so take your time mate!"
Then she felt bad.
"Kidding as usual," she muttered.

Shadow and Raven spoke to each other quietly in their home language.

Jamie began to play, the music comming slowly sounding a little like a clarinet, then the music got suddenly louder and played. Jamie had studied this peace of music, it symblised peace then a sudden war and striking people

Holly glanced from one to the other, confused. She shook her head and looked down at the second page on the clipboard again.
"Im trying to write a song," she said to Shadow and Raven, as Jamie set up, "Either of you ever been in love? Cause I havent and I dont know what to write,"

Jamie finished his piece,
"okay?" he asked the girls

Holly was in awe.
"Oh yeah," she said, "You are IN Jimbo!"

"yessss!" he punched the air but tookit down again quickly "don't call me jimbo!" he said pretending to be stern

Holly's eyes widened i alarm.
"Sorry Jimbo- I mean....Jamie,"
She laughed.
"Well get over here Jimbo, these girls have gotta audition!"

Shadow and Raven bowed their heads.
"What do you want us to do?"

"Anything you fancy dudes," Holly said, "Dance the night away if you like. Go ahead, dont be nervous, tis only me....and Jamie....and Nat....and the onlookers....,"

Shadow glanced at Raven, who nodded. Shadow pieced together her flute and began to play an irish dance tune while Raven danced.

Holly watched, nodding her head with a mildly surprised look on her face. She hadnt known flute sounded that good.
And she was Irirsh!
Yay Irish people!

The girls switched and Raven began to play a more European tune while Shadow did a more acrobatic dance.

((Well yeah I guess lol))

Holly watched in awe, and then clapped along with many of the surrounding audience.

Raven faded out the tune and Shadow stopped. They walked back towards Holly ad Natalie, smiling slightly.
"Was that ok?" Raven asked.

""Okay?"" Holly repeated, "That was great! Youre in too! Both of ya's!"

Shadow and Raven smiled, thanking Holly.

"Yay!" Holly said, "So theres me, Nat, you two, and Jamie in so far....that leaves a signer to try out and another guitarist....shouldnt be too hard, we'll just wait for one to come along,"
She glanced at the page.
"Im writing a song," she said to the twins, "But I cant think of decent lyrics!"

"What kind of song?" Asked Shadow.

"A love song," Holly said moodily, "Ever been in love? That would make it easier,"

Shadow and Raven glanced at each other, hiding their laughter.

"Is that a weird no or a weird yes?" Holly asked smiling.
