Band Auditions

First topic message reminder :

Holly set up the stage with a flick of her wand and settled herself behind a desk in front of the stage.
She and the other band members were looking for another guitarist.
She placed her clipboard in front of her and let the auditions begin.

Holly grinned wider of course.

"I don't want to grin wider...it really hurts to get your cheek stuck in your brace you know," said Natalie, "but you wouldn't know because you don't need braces....grr."

"Cause i have really straight teeth," Holly said nodding.

"Yeah...that sucks....you are so lucky with stuff like that," said Natalie.

"Thanks," Holly said grinning and showing all of her perfect teeth.
George copied her. His teeth were monkey teeth though,

((Of course they're monkey teeth, considering he's a monkey))

Natalie scowled

George and Holly scowled.

"Stop copying me," said Natalie, pretending to be annoyed.

Hayley laughed at the goings-on.

Natalie looked at Hayley and laughed.

"You've got a bug on your face," she said, grinning.

Eliza scolwed.
"Could we get on?" She smiled.
"Holly, I hope you don't mind me calling Natalie NatNerd... I'll call her Nattie instead, ok?" She read through the lyrics quickly, and nodded.
"Ok, ready?"

Hayley nodded, smiling, then brushed a beetle off her face.

jamie finished writing on the notes and looked up at lucy

((lucy?? do you not mean natalie?? lol))

"Ready?" Eliza repeated, and Zeke sat down behind the drums.

Hayley nodded. "In your own time," she said smiling.

Jamie looked over
"wait what are we doing?" he asked quickly

"Alot like Love, Like Love." Eliza answered. "What do you in the band, by the way?"

Hayley looked from Eliza to Jamie, watching the conversation.

Shadow and Raven got ready, shifting from foot to foot.

Eliza looked up at Jamie.
"Are you the other guitar player?

Hayley waited for everyone to start.

"trumpet!" he said proudly polishing it with his sleave

"Oh, that must be hard! I tried it once, I was red in the face... Best for me to stick to singing."

"i sing and play, its really hard geezz i only play to a grade two satus but i would hate to go any higher" he laughed

Eliza smiled.
"Do you know 'Alot Like Love, Like Love?"

"Shall we start then people?" Natalie asked.

Shadow and Raven nodded simultaneously.
"Yes."

Natalie began to play the base line on her bassoon and motion for the others to join in.

The twins waited for a certain note before they started.

Natalie played the note that signalled the twins to start playing.

Shadow and Raven began to play their flutes, keeping an eye on each other and mirroring their movements.

Natalie transfered to the choirs of the song.

Hayley smiled, nodding and watching the band play.

Natalie continued to play.

Eliza recognised her cue, and began to sing. At the right time, Zeke started the beat and gave a steady rhythm, occaisionaly crashing on the cymbals for effect.
Eliza's ermine flowed around her feet.

Hayley couldn't help smiling as Eliza sang- it was immense.

Eliza was lost in her signing, and snowflakes began to fall softly around her. Her ermine corrected it. Zeke looked faintly amused.

Hayley's eyes widdened at the sight of snowflakes falling inside. She giggled, it was quite funny.

Eliza by then realised what she had done and an idea sprang to her mind. But she continued singing.

Hayley didn't notice anything else, but continued to watch Eliza sing.

The song had almost finished, and there was a break where Eliza could stop for breath. Zeke banged on those drums, and he was enjoying every second.

Hayley watched Zeke, impressed at his drum playing skills.

Eliza asked Hayley,
"What do you think? Good?"

"Jeez, yeah, awesome," she said, "You're both great," she said acknowledging Zeke aswell.

Zeke nodde to show that he had heard, and presently Eliza started to sing again. She was less shy now.

"Good show everyone," Natalie yelled, putting thumbs up to the band.

The song was nearig the climax. Zeke was banging on the drums, fatsre and faster until- the cresendo, and the song had ended.
