I think the hogsmeade thread in the wizarding world forum is being very niglected.
I think duck the duck and streams are in charge over there, but as yet they have a pile of 'bank accounts' to open and a few races and bets to start.
I understand that every one around here is busy at the minute so, its nothing personal when i say it looks neglected, i just thought i would be a good idea to get it 'rebuilt' again
I was wondering if everyone thought that it was worth the effort of getting someone to get it up and running because it looks like great fun and now it looks like a bit of waste :[

Meh. There is usually a gap between races/drawings. I think it would be awesome, though, if we could get a whole town thing going. You know with the usual shops and whatnot. Although, I'm not really sure how that would work or if it would really go over well.

I agree with some of your points, but it's not as though it's been negliected. Ever since it opened there have been breaks between bets and such. The staff members are busy people and try their best to keep up with the demands of the site and their "real lives."

However, I do think that Hogsmeade could be expanded to make it more entertaining.

Ok, just to let you know whats going on here:

Me and streams are both in charge of the Hogsmeade forum and we do try as best as we can to stay on top of it BUT, there are certain factors that you have to take into account.

Firstly, both me and streams have real lives to deal with and while we do try to stay on top of everything, real life IS generally more important. I know that streams has her work and I have school and stuff.

Also, we try to open up games at a time when it is convenient for the both of us so that we can both monitor them and such. If I'm away or streams is away then we can tend to fall behind on things.

So, we DON'T need someone to get it up and running because, me and streams do a perfectly good job of it. And contrary to what you may think, keeping it updated can be quite time-consuming and a little tedious. I really doubt that you could do a better job yourself.

Finally, I am sorry that there is delays in the games and between us managing to keep it updated - we do have other responsibilities on the site, as well as our real lives to think about too.

I don't know if I my post was very clear or not. I just assumed that the reasons for the gap were A. To give enough people time to participate and B. because the people in charge have real lives. That was what I was trying to get across, although when I look back at it, it almost sounds as if I were griping.

well, it was just a suggestion. I didn't intend to be obnioxous or anything. And plus i didn't say that i was going to do the job, i suggested that maybe someone could bring in new ideas like hppamla said: about the shops and such. So could be work on that point i think it would be a good idea if possible

Aliza and Streams - I didn't mean to say that you weren't paying enough attention. I actually think you guys are doing a great job.. so I hope that it sounded like I wanted it to. All I was saying was that I think it could be expanded.

i would like to see that bit of the forum grow too, maybe too hard and too time consuming but im sure loads more people could become involved, i wouldn't mind either lol

I can say that it is something we are activley working on. And while it could still be a while, we are trying to figure something out.

This is currently being worked on by staff members, however it is likely that any changes will not begin until the next HE term.
