JUDGES THREAD : Round 1 - Pride

To judges:

Each participant needs to be marked out of 50 for their entry. How you mark them is up to you. Look at creativity, individuality and style as well as relevance, clothing and hair choice and background etc.

For each person put their mark out of 50 for this category and write a few things on what you thought was good and what could be improved (ie: what they lost marks for)

Scores will go up when each judge has marked each participant. Scores will be an average of all three scores.

I am awarding full marks for your model as you have thought out this category well, from background to facial expression and cothing. The pose is also perfect! Well done

violetriddle - 45
It is a very good entry for this category. I have taken marks off for the facial expession as to me it doesnt seem to express pride, more so dreamy.

Elana - 25
I feel bad for marking low as it is a good try though I felt that she didnt really show pride as well as she could. It is a good shot of the model, and a good pose though, perhaps consider background and clothing more carefully, though score obviously depends on what the other judges give as well.

streams of silver - 40
It helped with the write up as it helped me to understand what part of pride you were aiming for - something which other models might consider for future photoshots. The pose is very good, as is the lighting of the sunlight. It is well thought out, though facial expression lets your model down slightly.

ag167 - 25
The same with your model that applied to Elana's model. Her facial expression is very good for this category, though cothing and background need perhaps more thought.

polly - 38
This is a good choice in pride and is shown very well, though lack of background does not do the model justice Im afraid. The pose is great as is facial expression and good support from write up.

Herbaceoustraitorous - 43
Again, a great choice in a prideful situation, though background lets model down slightly. Good pose and facial expression, though, and supported by short write up.

skyla0305 - 45
Like Herby's model, it is a great choice which is supported by a wel thought out clothing range suitable for a models photoshoot. Background is lively and suitable in colour and perfect for magazine shot.

Belldandy - 28
The pose is great but the background is very limited and has let your model down. The use of prop is a nice touch though scenary is empty. Facial expression is great.

The models pose is great, though without write-up it is difficult to see the pride within the model - perhaps something to think about next round. The hairstyle perhaps needs a bit more thougt and background is great, though again could help if supported by write-up

jamierox11 - 42
A good example for what a short write-up does. This has helped me see what your mode is showing and this is supported nicely by both colour and outfit. Background is very suitable as shown from write up. Pose is great, though facial expression perhaps needs some thought

Ellemanae - 39
Write-up support this model very well, and pose is great as is facial expression. Clothes are a slight let down for her and background could be improved upon, though a good try.

A very good pose and write-up aids score. Facial expression nearly there, though model is let down by lack of background.

Good pose and facial expression to match, though as you can probably see, Im one for backgrounds, and so this model is let down by lack of background. Prop is not necessary in this instance I dont feel. Clothes are well thought out as is tiarra.

Just_Ginny - 50
The write-up is great - it really helps understand how much thought went into this photoshoot. There is not much to say other than what you have already said about your model. Great first photoshoot!

Rigby Dumbledore - 35
Models choice in clothes are great, though pose slightly off putting to the category. Choice in background is a good choice, though perhaps prop work may have helped. Facial expression good. Write-up may help for future rounds.

Shausto-la - 47
This is a really well thought out shot. Background, pose, facial expression and props are good. One small let down are choice in clothes as it seems model is wearing jeans - something which doesnt go overly well with sporting look.

Gemma_Cullen-Malfoy - 44
Pose, facial expression and clothing a great choice as is background and style of shot, though perhaps a small write-up may have boosted points.

KatieBellaTrix: 44
A score of 44 for you. Whilst the dress is lovely and the red shows your Gryffindor pride, I believe the crown to be passé and slightly OTT, darling. The blue background complements the theme, and your facial expression in this pose is practically perfect!

violetriddle: 39
What a lovely dress! However full marks have not been awarded, because I believe this outfit and pose shows not a sin but a virtue, that of purity, which is not pride. Your facial expression could have been a bit more pouty.

Elana: 33
A moderate mark for this model. I cannot award higher because I do not believe this truly reflects Pride. What it does show, however, is pride in ones appearance and as it is a lovely outfit I cannot bring myself to award lower than 33.

Alas, if it had not been for the write up I would not have seen anything resembling pride in this outfit. It's perfectly quaint, and that's nice, but quaint ain't gonna win you the contest, dear.

Darling, if this is meant to show pride then I'm the Queen of England! Three words for you: slovenly, slovenly, slovenly! Or perhaps I should say one word repeated three times...anyway, this outfit does not appeal to me whatsoever. You are redeemed by your slightly pouty expression and your backdrop.

This is a fashion contest, not a trip to the beach! The pride aspect of this outfit is nicely represented by the Union Flag, and the coiffed hair and glasses show some attempt at accessorising. More effort needed.

Face paint is so last year, dear. Army chic is on its way up, and the pride shown for the troops is evident. The backdrop could be more fitting, but the overall effect is good. Nice hair, by the way.

Again, the pride for the troops is evident and army chic is always a good look. Face paint, not so good, and the garish hat lets the outfit down. Lovely choice of backdrop, though.

Belldandy: 25
A very cute outfit and nice facial expression. Pouty is good when it comes to pride. You're let down by your plain background, and there seems to be very little reference made to pride.

Lovely outfit, if a little emo-ish for my tastes. Cute hair, cute smile and cute cat. Where's the pride, though? Nice background.

A little too much block colour, here - mixing colours and trying new things is always good. The facial expression is perfect - prideful and environmentally friendly, what more could we ask for?

It was all going so well...great hair, great facial expression, good top, nice layering on the bottom half...then those boots. Can we say trashy? The background and colour scheme as well as the short explanation have upped your score.

Fantastic pose and use of props, but the baby-girl pink let you down. This outfit is just a little too high school cheerleader to be fashion forward.

This outfit is nice. But nice is such a bland word, isn't it? And this outfit is just a little too bland. Show some individuality, show some pride! Great hair, and the tiara's a nice touch but a bit of background dressing wouldn't go amiss.

Great hair and top - but the skirt and boots fall short. Your backdrop is just a little too busy, but your adoring fans and the smug expression on your face demonstrate your pride to a T.

Banana yellow - odd choice, but it seems to work. Hair's a little flat and your pose looks stiff - try looking a little more natural next time.

Skinny jeans and a tight tee-shirt - always a good choice. The side-ponytail is unusual, but you pull it off. The medal is a little bling-bling, but the pride in your sports achievements is clear to see.

Hmmm... bold choice for a dress. Not everyone can wear vivid red and get away with it and I'm afraid but your model is too much of an angel to wear that dress with dignity it deserves. Still I give you points for having the courage to try such dress. The crown is simply classy, background fits perfectly the mood.

Looove the pose. The facial though my only thoughts are that the model must have been suffering from constipation. Seriously pride in being a Raven? Points for trying to get away with it though.

Ahhh Cavalli! Hot! Gorgeous outfit and someone didn't hold back in the jewelry! Unfortunatly the model isn't the most fortunate choice, those big sad eyes look more like they're about to let the waterfall free than a proud look.
