| (Gryffindor Chaser and Co-Captain)
Cris had just woken up from a deep and long sleep - just the kind of sleep to recover from a terrible happening the day before. She thought back of her driving licence exam and shuddered. No, no - not a good thought to start the day, she reckoned and tried to put it to the back of her mind, when an owl flattered into th dorm and threw a folded piece of paper into her lap. "How was your exam? I hope you proved to be a real Schumacher out there!", the note read. Cris grumbled, picked a pen from her trunk and hastily scribbled her answer about the nasty inclined ground and the motor that stopped when she tried moving the car on it. Daaaarn, she thought, and it was usually such an easy exercise!
As she gave the owl her answer and shooed it away, she tried to shrug all unpleasant memories off her mind - now was Quidditch time - a time she usually associated with fun. She sighed, as the burden of guilt lay on her conscience. She had been a pretty inactive player and co-captain lately, and was afraid of how the team might react to her again. Looking into the mirror, she suddenly stopped combing her hair and said with a determined look on her face, "But I can do it. I'm gonna prove them their co-captain can be a lively Quidditch player again.". "Mmmmm, what... mommy, noooo, another five minutes... pweaase...", she heard someone mumble from under their blankets in the bed next to her. It was a sign that told her she'd better collect her things and get onto the Quidditch pitch before really waking someone up with her silly monologues.
Happier thoughts came to her once she was outside in the sun, but they went away as soon as she realised how burning hot and dry it actually was. It only took the five minutes' walk to the locker room to make her uncovered head throb. The sun was so strong, she didn't even feel like dressing in her bikini, as she was afraid of sunburn. She sat down on the bench in the locker room, enjoying the shade and cool - the locker room's air magical conditioning luckily did work, after all - and thinking. This time, they needed desert clothing to protect them from the strong sun, she thought. White cotton cloths would be perfect. And make sure they're wrapped around the head, too.
She dashed up the bedroom, grabbed as many bedsheets as she could get without waking up anyone, then worked at finding a way to bind them around herself. With the help of some pieces of thread lying around and some needles, she finally had what she'd wanted: a kind of dress covering her from head to knees - the arms and legs had to be relatively free for her to be able to fly properly. She put a red and gold ribbon around her right arm to mark her as a Gryffindor player and co-captain, took a sip of water from the jug on the table, and carefully laid a large heap of bedsheets in the middle of the room, visible to anyone who entered. Finally happy with her preparations, she took her broom and stepped outside.
"Uh? A pink castle? Where did that come from?", she asked herself, gazing intently towards the far end of the pitch. She rubbed her eyes, mounted her broom and flew towards it. It was gone - a Fata Morgana? Indeed, the weather conditions were perfect for that kind of illusion, and the magic in the air around Hogwarts probably meant that they were more probably than on muggle grounds - it seemed a game where a lot of attention was required was coming up. It also meant she would have to find a way to see despite of the strong sun - and the only thing she had so far was her hand, to cover her eyes from time to time. "Harsh conditions", she mused and almost wished they were playing in a snowstorm again.
She started slowly gliding around the pitch, to prevent wasting any energy before the game had even started.

Shadow Roth opened her eyes slowly and groaned silently as the morning sunlight assaulted her eyes. She signed rapidly above her for some one to close the curtains. (She was muted at some point along the RP.) Her twin, Raven, ripped the covers away, grinning madly as she always did on a quidditch morning. For some odd reason, she had never joined the team, but loved to wake her sister up early for a match. Shadow glanced at the clock on the table beside her bed. 7 AM, she had been allowed to sleep in today, she normally had to be dragged out of bed at 5 at the latest for quidditch. "QUIDDITCH DAY SHAE!" Shadow groaned silently again, hands over her ears. It was just one of those days when she really didn't want to get up in the morning, but Raven unfortunately dragged her to her feet and dumped her quidditch kit on the bed. Shadow blearily got dressed in her usual black gear, picking up her kit and wandering out of the door, heading down to the Great Hall for breakfast with Raven.
Shadow yawned, using a hand to cover her over-long canines as she poured some juice into a goblet. She looked up at the ceiling and saw a clear, deep blue sky. She smiled. Perfect. She chewed on a piece of toast, wondering which player she was going to target that day. Raven was trying to get her interested in talking about tactics. "Try and take out the seeker first, no the keeper... NO! The chasers... Nah, take out anyone, they're not allowed replacements, so the more you take out the easier it is for your teammates!" Shadow sighed, and signed for Raven to shut up. Finishing her toast, she walked outside, heading for the quidditch stands.
She stepped outside and immediately regretted the black cloak she was wearing. She felt like melting into a puddle on the ground, but doggedly kept moving to the Slytherin changing rooms. She sighed with relief at the air conditioned room, and dumped her kit on the bench. She silently sent a mental thanks to her sister as she saw the lightweight quidditch robes she had ordered a few weeks ago. She changed into them, putting extra strong sun cream on as well, tied her long hair in a tight plait, grabbed her firebolt and walked out onto the pitch. She then returned inside and rummaged around her locker until she found what she was looking for. She put on the sunglasses and walked back out, glad that she wasn't blinded. Looking up, she spotted a player in white, then noticing the red and gold ribbons on her arm and groaned inwardly. Griffies, great. she thought to herself. Mounting her broom, she began to warm up, even though she really didn't want to, but on the other hand, she didn't want to wake up sore the next morning. She sighed, feeling like she wanted to crawl back into bed again. Her broom started to drift to the right, getting dangerously close to the bleachers until Shadow managed to wake up and bank left. It had started the adrenalin rush she got during matches and felt awake, and ready to take on anything. She swung her bat in a circle, loosening her wrists. She looked around the stands and spotted Raven waving at her. She grinned and raised her bat in a joking salute before ignoring her sister, focusing her mind on the coming match.

"And we're back for the 21st Quidditch Match - Gryffindor vs. Slytherin!" shouted Elana into the mic. "And it's going to be a hot one - the game and the weather! I wouldn't want to be playing right now, but our teams won't disappoint us!" She pitied the players today; even in the shade of her commentator spot, it was sweltering. She had brought along some iced Chai tea, and the ice cubes were already almost all melted. At least that left the outside of it cool, she thought as she brought the glass to her mouth for a sip. Noticing a player exit the locker rooms clad in white, she raised her eyebrows. "What have we here?" she asked, confused until spotting the red and gold ribbons around Cris's arm. "It's Cris of Gryffindor, Chaser Captain, with the innovative attire! Beautiful idea, love, it's hot out here. Right after her we have Shadow of Slytherin, Beater, who has chosen light weight robes instead of the Gryffindor's creation. Welcome to the pitch, ladies!"

Violet turned in her bed, groaning a bit. She didn’t want to go to the match today, she was to tired. But, being the person she was, she stuffed her head into her pillow, that is, until she was awaken by Luthwing. “Ow, God.” She shouted, jumping up and grabbing her leg. Luthwing hissed, which she knew was a laugh and she glared at him. “I hate you right now.” She mumbled, while standing up to look at her leg. “You made me bleed!” She shouted, wiping the blood off with a shirt that belonged to someone else. Walking into the window, she took a shower and walked back into her room, looking for her robes. ‘It’s going to be burning up outside.’ She heard in her head. Looking at Luthwing, she narrowed her eyes. “Yes, I’m going to believe you.” She said, walking around her room. ‘Fine when you die from a heat stroke, don’t say I didn’t say so.’ He hissed. Violet rolled her eyes as he slithered back into his hole in the wall. Grabbing a pair of black cotton shorts and a dark green shirt, she tired her shoes and her firebolt. ‘If it’s not hot out there, someone gets killed.’ She thought, walking out of the common room.
“Here comes Peter Cottontail, hopping down the bunny trail!” She shouted, skipping along. As she walked by a mirror, she stopped, backing up. “I forgot about putting my heir up.” She hissed, parting her hair on one side. Making sure it was parted down the right, she made them into pigtails and started French braiding them. “There, now I cant get to hot.” She mumbled, starting to sing her song again, while skipping. She ignored the crazy looks she was getting and stuck her tongue out. “Your just jealous cause I’m better….hey, that sounded preppy.” She said, shrugging her shoulders and walking into the Great Hall for some toast and something to drink. “Hello, Goodbye.” She said, grabbing a first years toast and drink. “Yes!” She shouted, standing up. Violet looked back at her, raising an eye brow. “That was my food.” She told Violet. Violet laughed, walking back out of the Great Hall. “Key word…was.” She said, walking outside.
“Oh God.” She said, beginning to sweat. For once, Luthwing wasn’t lying to her. Well, he never lied to her. Violet pulled out her wand, trying to think of a charm to keep her cool. She highly doubt she would, but it was worth a try. “Hello Shadow.” She said, walking over to her. “One Gryffie? Typical.” She said, sitting down under the stands. She wondered if anyone else was coming today. Lately, anyone who played Slytherin, they never came to the games and it was really beginning to aggravate Violet. But she couldn’t make someone come if they didn’t want to. She was just tired of sitting at the goal post, doing nothing. Sighing, she tapped her leg, growing impatient.

Being late was seriously something Becca was good at. And pretty much the only thing. Again, she was late. She'd just gotten back on the team, and already she was screwing up. Just great. She rushed down to the pitch as fast as she possibly could. She wondered how the match was going so far....She got into her Quidditch robes quickly and ran back outside, mounting her broom and kicking off. She began to survey the scene, trying to figure what was going on.

Cat had woken up early as usual on game days and had hoped to be the first to arrive to the pitch to get some practice in first. Unfortunately, when she woke up a first year girl came was by her bed with a nervous look on her face. She raised an eyebrow in question at the girl before she began to state why exactly she was there.
“I…um,” she began with a uneasy voice that irritated Cat a bit due to her lack of patience. “I was told to…give you these notes.” She then handed over two notes.
Cat grumbled as she read them. Gemma and Jamoki couldn’t play today. “Great…just great,” she commented. When she looked up she saw the girl shaking slightly, probably afraid she’d start yelling due to the last minute notices. “Don’t worry girl, I am not going to go on a rampage; just a bit P.O.ed.”
She sighed again and waved off the girl, letting her know she could leave. She noticed her dormmate, Kaylee wasn't there and scratched her head. Where could she... she thought before remembering her wander off in the middle of the night. Maybe she was sleepwalking and didn't make it back... Sure that her friend was fine since this wasn't the first time, she went on to get into her quidditch robes and grab her gear. Before heading out she wrote a note a quick note for Kaylee.
Kay,
Gemma and Jamoki can't play so I have to go on a search for some chasers. See you at the game.
Your stressed friend and captain, Cat
P.S. Kill me now
After she finished writing it, she placed it on her friend's bed. She then left and knocked on her friend Jessie’s dorm door. After she got no reply she went onto Katherine’s dorm room and got no reply; at least from her. There was a few curse words shouted by her dorm mate though. She yelled at the dorm mate to ask Katherine to play chaser before looking for another person to play the other chaser.
No luck...No one seemed to be around to play. She groaned in frustration before giving up and heading out to the pitch. She saw Violet and Shadow already out there, along with two Gryffindors, Cris and Becca. She waved to her team mates and then gave a polite nod in greeting to the Gryffindors. And then, despite the fact they were on opposing teams, she flew up and crushed Becca with a hug.
She then sat on her broom straight and regained her composure. “Just haven’t seen you in a while Becca and wanted to say hello,” She said to her old friend before flying off to a good waiting spot for the balls release.

After releasing bludgers and snitch he grabbed the quaffle and flew up to meet the players that were already there. "Okay ladies and gen... ladies. Let the game begin" Raistlin threw the quaffle in the air, blew his whistle and got out of the way.

She barely sat there, hovering in the air, when she saw Raistlin show up on the field with the small wooden trunk containing the game’s balls. Getting an idea, she grinned as she waited for him to release bludgers and snitch and then throw up the Quaffle.
Ignoring the moving players around her, she sped towards her house mate. “Rai!” She shouted, hoping to get his attention. She slowed once she neared the ground and put on her best pleading look. “Can you do me a teensy-weensy favor?” She began with puppy dog eyes. “Is there any way you can be a chaser this game? Everyone else pretty much has other things they think are more important than quidditch.”

| (Referee going on Chaser) Raistlin heard cat's plea and groaned. Chaser was his least favourite position of all but he knew she wouldn't ask if she didn't really need it. "Fine, I'll do it let me just warn one of the other referees" Taking out his wand Raistlin made a swirling followed by a descendent movement, a green light emerged and shot towards the castle. "There another referee should come soon. Now I need a differne outfit." With another movement of his wand his referee clothes changed into proudly green Quidditch robes. "Now I'm ready. Let's amake some kittens cry." | |

Cat grinned and pumped a fist in the air in victory when Raistlin agreed and then changed his referee clothes into green Quidditch robes.
“Thanks Rai!” She exclaimed and would have probably hugged him if not for the fact that it was Raistlin and well he just was not the kind of person you’d describe as huggable...even if rumor had it that his soul was a butterfly.
She then realized his comment about making kittens cry and gave him an unserious glare. “You should be careful of your words…” She said before jokingly hissing. She then chuckled and flew up back into game area.
Once at a good height, she let her eyes look after that snitch that had wandered around while she had talked to Rai.

Katherine ran onto the pitch, just a little too late for the start of the game. She kicked off hard, and flew into the air as fast as she could. "Hey Cat. Oh, this is exciting." she said, keeping her eyes open wide, and alert to look for bludgers, and more importantly, the quaffle.

Bella ran onto the pitch, late. She quickly entered the locker room and changed into her quidditch robes before grabbing her bat and Nimbus 2001. Once on the pitch, Bella flew into the air. The heat was really starting to get to her. Bella gave a quick, apologetic smile to wards Cat, this was her way of saying 'Sorry im late'. She waved hello to Violet, her rat before searching for bludgers. Bella was glad Shadow was able to play this game so they had two beaters! Bella was still looking for bludgers when she noticed Rai. Rai in a quidditch uniform? Bella noticed he was playing Chaser and smiled. Those gryfendors were in trouble, alot of trouble. Bella finally found a bludger, by smashing headlong into it. Luckily she had drastically slowed her pace while watching Rai so she hadnt been going fast when she crashed. Bella swung her bat in a backwards swing and smashed the bludger and Becca, one of the Gryfie chasers. Hopefully this would increase the chance of Rai securing the quaffle early on in the game... like right now he could grab it! "Stupid alarm clock!" Pamela shouted as she found herself yet again demolishing one with her handy hammer, this time not so serenely. "You're supposed to go off at the time I set you for! Not an hour late!" After a few more swings with the hammer, Pamela was satisfied that her alarm clock would never again disappoint her. She really should have been made a beater. She was plenty violent for it. After a bit, Pamela sighed. Yet again, she was late. New people on the team and I can't even make a good impression! To make matters worse, she had a feeling today was going to be very hot. Just in case, she grabbed some of her sun-block. As she walked down the stairs to the common room, she rubbed some on her nose, shoulders, and the helix of her ears. The rest of her body didn't usually burn too easily, so she wasn't too worried about that.
After taking a shortcut, getting lost for twenty minutes, and getting remarkably snarky with a painting that had gotten a bit too cheeky with Pamela for her taste, she finally made it to the locker room. Already, she was sweating rather profusely. There's no way I'm going to make it through this in this bloody uniform. As she was getting her stuff organized, Pamela noticed a stack of what appeared to be bed linens in the middle of the room. This struck her as particularly odd. She wondered for a moment if she had stepped through an improbability field, but decided that A. she'd been reading too much Hitchhiker's Guide and B. there would be other odd things around if she had stepped into such a field. Then she came up with the idea to turn one into some sort of cooler and more protective uniform. In fact, she mused, this is probably what they were there for in the first place. She did some quick work with one of the sheets and finally managed to fashion what she thought was a pretty nice toga-esque robe. Before putting it on, she added some scarlet and gold stripes to the bottom to prevent confusion and threw her surname on for good measure.
After changing out of her soaked quidditch robe, Pamela made her way out to the pitch. Immediately, she felt as if all moisture had been zapped from her body. It was so hot and dry, Pamela was surprised not to see a tumbleweed roll past her as she mounted her broom. At least it wasn't humid, though. Pamela actually quite enjoyed dry heat. She took off into the air and, after waving a quick hello to Becca, she did a quick head count. There were already six Slytherin on the field. This was not a shocker; Pamela knew that they'd assembled a very impressive team this term. What did surprise her, though, was seeing Rai in quidditch robes. She'd never played a game with him present. The balls had clearly been released. Pamela called out to her captain, "I'm so sorry I'm late Cris!" Then she began a search for the snitch. She wanted to play exceptionally well to make up for her tardiness. Not long after she began circling the pitch, she saw what she was looking for. There was the snitch, hovering lazily near the ground.
Pamela immediately tilted her broom into a Desert Dive. Really it was no different from a standard dive, but Pamela liked giving cooler names to basic moves, and she thought this would be appropriate. Before long, she was mere inches from the snitch. Filled with a large amount of shock at how quickly she'd spotted it, Pamela reached out to snatch it. She was even more surprised when she opened her hand and there was nothing there. After a moment of puzzlement, Pamela let out a humourless chuckle. Clearly, the snitch had been an illusion brought on by the extreme weather conditions. Well, this should be fun. That was her thought as she made the ascent, rather sheepishly, back to normal height. Then she resumed the search, praying that she wouldn't see any more mirages throughout the match.

Moving around still half asleep Kaylee continued to squirm and roll around, trying to find a comfortable position. The more she started to wake up, the more uncomfortable she found that she was. Still groggy she deducted that she was cold, her bed was far too hard and uncomfortable and her pillow had somehow vacated the premises.
Finally deciding to open her eyes she sat up slightly and rubbed her face and eyes for a moment before actually taking a look around. When she finally opened her eyes she was baffled and slightly offset by the fact that something large white and made out of a glass like substance was directly in her face. At first she wasn’t really sure what she should be more worried about, the fact that for the 5th time this year she’d woken up in a strange place or the fact that she had no idea once again where she was.
Moving around carefully trying to make sure she didn’t hit her head on anything Kay finally sat up all the way to see that the large white object was in fact a toilet. “Well that’s just great, last time it was in the dirt in the tunnel and this time it’s on the bathroom floor. Looks like I’m going for the who can pass out in the grossest place award this year.” Shaking her head a few times she tried to remember what had happened the night before and why on earth she was passed out in the bathroom of all places.
Thinking she could remember going to bed, in her normal bed with Cat and Gemma both sleeping as well. Biting her bottom lip she tried to think if she’d had any weird dreams or woken up in the middle of the night and just didn’t recollect it at the moment. Just when she was going to label herself an avid sleep walker she started to remember waking up in the middle of the night and not feeling to good. After that point she didn’t really need to figure out why she was in the bathroom, or how she got there.
Scratching her head for a moment she shivered at the thought of how gross the floor was and decided that since she was already there she might as well take a quick shower. Jumping in she just stood there for a moment enjoying the heat of the water. Letting out a small noise of happiness she quickly washed up and instantly started to feel better about her day. Grabbing one of the public use towels from the shelf she shuddered slightly at the thought of using one, but then reminded herself that it was better than walking around smelling of the bathroom floor.
Picking up all of her belongings she held her towel up and around her with one hand and carried her belongings around with the other. Opening the door was a slight challenge but she managed to do it for once without losing something. Peering around the corners she made sure no one was around to see her before taking off back towards her room to get dressed. As soon as she was inside of her room she couldn’t help but let out a breath of relief from between her teeth, which made a noise resembling a snake hissing.
Looking around the room she found it rather odd that both Cat and Gemma were gone. Standing in the middle of the room for a moment she suddenly remembered that Gemma had said something about being gone on vacation for the match. But she was slightly stumped as to where in the work Cat was, after all she wasn’t the type to just up and disappear. Scrunching up her nose for a moment she thought about walking over to Cats belongings to see if there was any clue as to where she was off too, but then Kay noticed a piece of parchment laying on her own bed.
Moving quickly she made her way over to her own bed and belongings only to notice that the note was indeed from Cat. After all she could recognize her chicken scratch anywhere. For a split second she thought about getting dress first and then reading the note, but her curiosity got the better of her. Setting her stuff on her bed she swiftly picked it up she skimmed it once for any important words and found a few so then she decided that it deserved a full read through. ” Kay, Gemma and Jamoki can't play so I have to go on a search for some chasers. See you at the game. Your stressed friend and captain, Cat
P.S. Kill me now” At first she was sort of confused, after all why did it matter that Gemma and Jamoki couldn’t play quidditch, it wasn’t like there was a match or anything. Then it hit her like a ton of bricks, and her towel fell to the floor in shock. It took her a moment to notice the breeze and how cold the room had suddenly grown before she let out a small giggle of embarrassment, even though no one else was in the room, she quickly picked her towel back up and then proceeded to run around the room getting ready like a mad man.
Throwing on all of the necessary stuff, including her now lucky batman pajamas she quickly pulled her hair into her normal pigtails and casted the spell to keep each hair in place. Quickly Kay shoved both of her feet into her boots and ran over to her bed stand to fill as many pockets as she could with sweets. Then not so much as thinking about anything else she bolted out of the door, not even bothering to look at a clock to check how late she was.
Running past the great hall she couldn’t help but notice the rumbling in her stomach. “It will just have to wait until after the game.” She mumbled to herself as she bolted out of the front doors and started across the lawn to the locker rooms. As she ran along she reached into one of her pockets and pulled out a few candy items and then decided that maybe a snickers would tide her over, at least for the duration of the match.
Shoving the entirety of the snickers bar into her mouth she started to chew it down just as she reached and entered the door to the locker room. Still moving at a fast pace she quickly pulled on her pads and protective gear along with her robes. Finally swallowing the last of the candy she stretched slightly before grabbing gadget out of the cubby and giving him the ritual pat and kiss before running through the door and onto the pitch.
Looking around the pitch she could see that it looked like everyone from her team was on the pitch. This thought caused her to pause for a moment and wonder who the other two players were, after all Gemma wasn’t around. Clicking her tongue on the roof of her mouth for a moment she decided that three chasers were better than two, even if she most likely hadn’t practiced with either of the players. When her eye’s made their way around the pitch another time she noted that there were currently only 3 Gryffie players on the pitch.
“Well at least I’m not the last person to show up…” She mumbled to herself as she mounted her broom and kicked off hard sending her flying into the air. As she climbed in altitudes she couldn’t help but notice the fact that the match had already started, especially when she heard the resounding crack of a beaters bat hitting a bludger. Wincing slightly she hoped that it wasn’t headed towards her, after all that would be her bad luck.
Once she was at a normal height she looked around and almost fell off of her broom when she noticed Rai in uniform. For a moment she just sort of hovered there, not really able to react in any way. Then it finally hit her and she couldn’t help but let out a small noise of happiness. After all Rai was one of the first people she’d ever played quidditch with, and she also could remember his sharp tongue and hilarious banter.
Sitting a little straighter on her broom she offered him a smile and wave before turning her attentions on Cat. “Sorry I was so late; I woke up on the bathroom floor of all places.” Offering her an apologetic smile Kay knew she’d have to explain later. But now was not the time for long explanations or warm greetings, no it was time to play the game, and with the advantage currently in their corner they needed to move quickly. Quickly she looked around the pitch and offered a small smile and a nod to everyone else on the pitch as she scanned everyone and everything for that beautiful red ball.

As her eyes scanned the area, she noticed a green spec approaching the field. As the spec rose in the air, she noticed it was Katherine, a sign that that other Slytherin had notified her that she would be playing. She smiled at her teammate and nodded in response to her saying that this would be exciting. Not much later, Bella arrived with an apologetic smile referring to her late entrance into the game, which Cat also nodded in reply to.
She then noticed her final teammate arrive and she grinned. “Sorry I was so late; I woke up on the bathroom floor of all places,” she heard her friend speak before she gave an apologetic smile like Bella had.
Cat chuckled and replied, “So that’s where you were. I knew you’d show up eventually…like a trained pet, you always find your way home.” She giggled before being serious and saying, “Okay, it is game time. You can explain later and I can laugh at you, but now it’s time for me to find the snitch and you to get the…wait a minute did anyone grab the Quaffle?”
Her eyes scanned the field before she saw a red ball falling slowly. Thank god it has a charm to slow it, she thought before pointing it out to Kaylee. “Fetch!” She said with an enthusiastic grin.
After she pointed that out, Cat let her eyes scan the field once more for the snitch. As her eyes wandered, she saw a bludger heading towards Becca, probably hit towards her by Bella, and winced slightly at the remembrance of the pain those things cause and the fact that her friend was going to get hit. Sadly, she didn’t say anything due to the fact that her friend was on the other team and continued to scan the field.
She then noticed Pamela had arrived, though by the looks of it she’d been there a while and she hadn’t noticed. Happy to have her opponent on the field and not aware of the snitch’s location also, she smiled to herself and continued to search the field.
She saw a student in the stands with a nice smoothie and she realized how dehydrated she was. It was hot and dry today, but she had tried not thinking of it. Obviously she failed and now was painfully aware. She groaned and wiped a bead of sweat that was making its way down the face. As she did this she realized her forehead had already been sweaty for a while and scrunched her nose of it disgust. Man did she hate to sweat. Yeah she was part of a sport, and captain at that, but that still didn’t mean she liked that stuff.
She sighed and tried to keep her mind off the heat and back on the snitch. Then she saw it…the goat. Her eyes widened and her jaw dropped in shock. It took a while before she was able to shout out, “GOAT!!” This got a few odd looks and she responded by pointing at it. She then realized that it must be a mirage because goats don’t wear top hats and tap dance.
She shook her head and the hallucination went away. She sighed again, and went back to her hunt of the walnut-sized ball. She was really getting distracted today. Stupid heat, she thought as she looked over the field.

| Stand-In Referee Rigby ran out onto the field, then quickly ran back to the tunnel when she realized her referee robes were on backwards. By the time she got her outfit sorted out, she was out of breath and drenched in sweat. She couldn't remember a warmer quidditch season. Trying to save her energy she hopped on her broom and flew back onto the pitch. At least she had remember to bring a water bottle with her this time. No doubt she was going to need it. "Okay, I'm here. Continue doing whatever you were doing!" she called out to the players. Not that anyone paid her any attention. No one paid attention to the ref unless it was to make a death threat against them for a bad call. Sighing, Rigby just focused on paying attention to the game and staying out of the path of bludgers, snitches and quaffles. Hopefully it would at least be an entertaining game. | |

Shadow, who had been lost in her mind, finally managed to shake herself out of it and flew around; looking for a suitable bludger and target. It had been too long since she had heard a good 'crunch' as someone's head met the pain of a bludger attack from the back. She thought about the last time she had managed to hit some one and cringed. Team training isn't the best time to practise your aiming on the captain of the team.
She shook herself out of that train of thought, trying to ignore the illusions before her eyes. SHe swung her bat around until she saw a bludger, in perfect line with the Gryffie keeper. She flew towards it, leaning low over her broom and appreciating the coolness of the wind on her face. She reached it and took aim before slamming her bat into the bludger, sending it speeding towards the keeper.

Izzy tossed and turned in bed for a while, trying to open her eyes, when she suddenly fell out of her bed with a very graceful plop! Eyes flying open she desperately tried to adjust to the streams of sunlight coming through the windows. Izzy smacked her hand over eyes and then nervously peeked out behind her hand to look at her clock. "SHOOT!" she exclaimed, and began running around like a chicken with its head cut off. Going to a two day horseback riding competition from 5 am to 10 pm was probably not the best idea. she muttered grinning wryly. Finally finding her way to the dorm room door she scrambled out and flopped down the stairs. With her eyes adjusted to the bright sunlight, she thought about how great it would be to live in Forks, Washington right about now. Izzy breathed in the smell of the locker rooms admiring them for a couple minutes, she hadn't missed them terribly, and suddenly realized how much more she missed her beater's bat. Izzy tore the locker room apart looking for her bat and came across her uniform.
Might as well put this on while I am looking. She said rather sullenly. Quickly dressing in her Quidditch robes. Bending down to pick up her gloves she spied her bat in a lonely corner covered in dust. Izzy dived for her bat like a demented person. With a look that could kill she deftly declared (to absolutely nobody) that she would kill the person who so rudely threw her poor baby into such a horrid place.
She carefully cleaned and shined her bat before she realized she was getting even further behind. Grabbing her Cleansweep, she flew (literally) out of the locker rooms and onto the pitch. Unfortunately she didn't realize how much brighter it was outside and practically fell off her broom because of her fast pace and lack of sight. Adjusting, yet again, she grinned insanely as she warmed up as she looped and zig zagged across the pitch. Shouting to no one in particular she exclaimed, Better watch out I've got a few new tricks I learned from Joker, who is amazing! Settling down she started to watch the game and though she was happy she wasn't the last Gryffie to show up she hoped a few more would come. Deciding to stir up some fun Izzy began looking for a bludger when she realized that there was a Slytherin beater who just hit one. Watching the bludger's path she realized that it was headed straight for the Gryffindor keeper, flying like a bullet she came up alongside the bludger, stopped and swung with full force at the bludger and sent it straight back towards the Slytherin beater. Let the fun begin! she said with an evil cackle.

So wrapped up in the excitement of the game, Elana had forgotten about her commentating duties. After being reminded of that by a professor shouting that she really should start commentating, she smiled sheepishly and grabbed the mic. Going off of memory, she said, "Quick recap of who's here and what's going on, okay? Violet, the Slytherin Keeper, arrived and is guarding those goals! There has been no attempt to score over there, even though we now have a few Gryffies on the pitch. Becca, Gryffindor Chaser, is one of them. Next there was Cat, Cappie and Seeker for Slytherin. Rai released the balls as our Ref, but was quickly changed into a Slytherin Chaser because of the lack of players. After that, Katharine, Chaser for Slytherin, arrived, quickly followed by Bella, a Slytherin Beater. Bella lost no time in finding a Bludger - but somehow I don't thinking a bonk to the head was quite what she had imagined. Finally another Gryffie came, Seeker Pamela, who was followed onto the pitch by Slytherin Chaser Captain Kaylee. Due to the heat, there has been some hallucinating - one by Cat of Slytherin, who claimed to have seen a goat. At least, I think she was hallucinating..." Elana trailed off, shading her eyes and scanning the pitch for a lost goat. Not finding any, she shrugged and returned to the mic. "Anyway, Ravenclaw's Kate is filling in as a Ref, so don't make any wrong moves, players! Slytherin Beater Shadow sent a Bludger at the Gryffindor Keeper, but it was deflected by the Izzy, Gryffindor Beater, as soon as she arrived. The Bludger is now heading back at Shadow - will we have our first trip to the Hospital Wing this game, or will she send it?" She exhaled slowly and leaned back under the shade, hoping she had gotten everything.

Shadow had been starting to look for another bludger when she heard the telltale 'crack' and whistle of a speeding bludger. She turned round, but too late as the bludger collided with her chest. She was thrown off her broom with the force, her mouth open in a silent scream and her eyes wide with fear, she started to fall through the air. Of all the times to be mute... She thought angrily to herself as she realised that the other Slytherins were engrossed in their task. She drew her wand, summoning her broom as a last resort. She grabbed it with one hand managing to get airbourne again a few meters from the ground. She put a hand on her chest where the bludger had hit her and felt tears of pain springing to her eyes as she coughed violently. After a few extremely painful breaths, she dived down, grabbing her fallen bat and flew back up into the air, looking around for the bludger. She couldn't, and wouldn't let the pain stop her from playing her best. She winced at the sound of ominous cracking from her ribcage and pangs of pain, but ignored it, gritting her teeth and scanning the field, also ignoring the blood on her hand where she had touched her ribs.

Still hovering in the air and scanning the pitch she started to hum the batman tune loudly. After all it did help her concentrate and keep her mind focused on the task at hand, which was what again?
Looking for the quaffle you moron, now keep looking, it can’t be far.
As Kay continued to scan the pitch her eyes wandered over to her Nut, wondering what exactly she was going on about. All she could really make out was that it had something to do with a goat. Shaking her head back and forth for a moment she resumed humming her song, after all she didn’t want to become too distracted in the small things, at least not this match.
Scanning the pitch she thought she caught site of something red for a moment but then as soon as she turned her attention back towards it she realized that it must have been something in her imagination. Using one hand she pulled up the edge of her robe to quickly wipe some of the sweat off that had been gathering on her face. “Why does it have to be so gross and hot out today? I mean I already see stuff as it is, I don’t need the heat increasing my delusions.” Mumbling out loud to herself she shook her head back and forth before resuming humming her song.
Not really paying much attention she thought that she’d heard Cat yell something at her but didn’t pay it much mind. But something told her to turn and try to decipher what she was talking about. Still humming she couldn’t really hear what she was saying and she knew she should probably stop and listen but she was at her favorite part of the song, and she didn’t want to miss it. In between hums she heard, “Fetch!” and saw Cat pointing towards something heading down and towards the ground.
What is with this fetch nonsense, what does she think I am a dog? I mean really, I’m not a dog, actually I’m far from it. Trained monkey, maybe, but a dog defiantly not. Besides if I was a dog I don’t think her and I would get along to well….
Thinking to herself she finally turned her gaze away from Cat who was pointing at something and looking like she was on the verge of being delusional and followed Cats finger to see what she was pointing towards. Letting out a slight gasp she finally saw what her friend, wifey and Captain had been pointing towards. Letting out an exasperated, “SHOOT!” she leaned down on her broom and took off instinctively diving for the quaffle.
Moving swiftly she found herself coming up on that beautiful red ball in no time at all, reaching one hand out as she neared her goal she couldn’t help but notice how close to the ground she was getting. Buckling down once again she sucked in a quick breath and grabbed the quaffle and then pulled up hard on her broom. At first she thought she was home free like she’d been so many times before. That was until she felt her back hit the ground. Now she didn’t hit to hard, but hard enough to knock the wind out of her for a moment.
Slightly shocked and offset by the confusion she stayed there, lying on the ground for a moment and tried to piece things together. Turning her head she couldn’t help but let out a slight smile at the fact that even though she’d fallen and taken a pretty good hit she still remained in possession of that beautiful red ball. Slowly she sat up and shook her head a few times before standing up slowly, making sure she wasn’t injured or anything from the impact. But to her surprise she felt fine, and it didn’t seem like she’d caused herself any damage.
Mounting her broom again quickly she kicked off and let out a little giggle of embarrassment. After all it wasn’t every day that she fell like that, in front of a crowd of her peers none the less. Tucking the quaffle in close to her body she decided that it would be best to just try to score while she could. Moving swiftly she made her way around the pitch, watching for any interference but so far there didn’t seem to be any.
Flying along like she was the only person on the pitch she buckled down once again on her broom. In a last minute thought she decided that she’d add a little flair to her flying. Letting out another soft giggle she buckled down and leaned slightly to the left causing her to continue to fly straight but to do spins in the air as she went along. This was a move she’d fondly dubbed Crazy Cartwheel Still spinning, more and more quickly as she went along she finally stopped herself when she was close enough to the goal to throw it in safely.
But her move did have its drawbacks, she had to sit there for a moment and let her vision and brain catch up with the fact that she was no longer spinning. After a moment her vision had righted itself enough to let her close one eye and see the middle hoop clearly. Pulling her arm straight back she held the quaffle in hand. Once she was cocked back as far as she could she flung her arm forward quickly, sending the quaffle flying straight towards the middle of the center hoop.

Pamela was flying around somewhere near the Gryffie posts looking for the snitch, when she heard the dull thud that meant a bludger had found a victim. She looked around to make sure it wasn't one of her teammates. She realized fairly quickly that it was, in fact, a Slytherin beater. At first, Pamela breathed an instinctive sigh of relief. It would have been quite distressing to lose one of the four present Gryffies. That sigh was quickly replaced by a slight gasp when she realized that Shadow was in a fair bit of pain. Pamela knew, though, that Shadow was tough. She was a beater for crying out loud; she'd have to be a little more hardcore than other players. "Are you going to be alright?" she called out, just to make sure, before resuming her search.
Shortly after Shadow's hit, Pamela noticed that Kaylee had fallen. It wasn't a major fall, and she seemed to be fine. Pamela was still concerned, though, of course. She liked Kaylee, even if she was in the so-called rival house. Hoping that both girls would be fine, Pamela decided it would be prudent to start watching out for herself. She didn't want another incident like what happened a game or two ago. Her ankle throbbed a bit just at the thought of it. She'd taken very few hits in her short career, and she wanted to keep it that way. To help ensure her safety, Pamela continued her search employing the Cautious Coyote manuever. This merely meant that she moved around the pitch in a slow circle, frequently checking every direction for bludgers as well as the snitch. It should probably be called the Paranoid Coyote, but Pamela was a sucker for a good alliteration.

Katherine watched Kay grab the quaffle, fall, and get back up. She watched her speed down the pitch to the goals, and throw. Now all she had to do was intercept it when it was thrown back to the players. She bent low on her broom, ready to speed in front of whatever Gryffindor it was thrown to... come on, make it in! Once it was in, it would be her chance...

"I am soooo late!!" she muttered furiously.
Demi was not a morning person and she let the world know it. It had taken the efforts of three girls to get her awake and ready for her first quidittch game. Not to say she was embarrassed for having not remembered, but for her to be late to her first ever game was downright unacceptable. Demi adored the game and practiced whenever she had the chance. She nearly screamed with delight when she saw her name posted on the final listing for the Gryffindor Team Beater.
She rushed through the fairly empty halls of Hogwarts, not even bothering to dodge the wandering ghouls. The fact that no one was around made her kick herself even more. That meant the game had already started and if she wasn't mistaken, it was against their rivals - the slytherins.
"Do they have to schedule these games so early? I mean, really." she complained.
Demi was still slightly tired, but she was sure that would wear off as soon as she hit the skies. Taking her Comet Sweep she started in a run and swung a leg over the broom before speeding off into the field. Beather's bat in hand she swung it around, testing it and trying to find her balance on the broom with the added weight.
Katherine, a slytherin chaser sped by her towards the goal posts, quaffle in hand and ready to launch through the hoops. Demi looked around, spying a bludger coming at her. She smirked, raising her bat and with a loud CRACK it made impact and the bludger bounced off towards the unsuspecting Katherine.

| (Slytherin Chaser) Raistlin which so far had been in a state of transe - his experiments lately were having weird side effects - woke just in time to see the Quaffle get in followed by the 'ding' sound. A roar from the Slytherin stands told him that all was fine as he quickly regain conscienceness and awareness. "Good. We seem to be doing good." he muttered to himself. The Quaffle was threw back in the game and it took Raistlin a bit before he realised it was his duty to go for it. "It's so not in my blood being a chaser" he groaned while stretching flat in his froom as he shot upwards to the quaffle. He reached the place in an instant and grabbed the quaffle with both hands, it felt weird in his hans, too big, too slippery... soon enough he did let the quaffle fall. "This is going to be fun..." he shouted at cat in a sarcastic tone as he dove to catch the dreaded red ball. Once back in possession of the quaffle he didn't lost time this time and sped towards the Gryffindor posts. When he was a distance that would be enough to threw the quaffle he got ready to threw it but changed mind at the last minute. "Kay you do it!" he shouted as he threw the quaffle towards the unaware player. His aim was still not very good by his calculations the ball would pass at least a meter to the right of Kay. "Hmm. Playing something for the first time in a real game is not doing wonders for me..." Raistlin counted on the Kay's skills to catch the quaffle. | |

Pamela was quite annoyed to hear the bell that meant Slytherin had scored. "Come on, Gryffindor," she muttered to herself. Pamela really wanted her team to do well this time around. She knew they were probably the underdog in the race for the house cup, but Pamela wanted to at least help keep them out of last place. That fact made her job even more important; she needed to find the snitch and soon. However, her eyes were drying out, making it near impossible to hold open. She tried to will her tear ducts to kick in, but to no avail. Usually it wasn't that difficult for her, but the air was just too dry.
She was also beginning to feel the tightness on the bridge of her nose that meant she was starting to burn. Lovely. As she flew around looking for her dear friend, Pamela started to get a fair bit grumbly. Between the inevitable sunburn, dry eyes, her empty stomach (she'd completely skipped breakfast), and Slytherin's success level this time around, things just seemed to be going from bad to worse. Pamela wasn't usually quite this negative; generally she could find good in any situations, but lately she'd been having troubles with that. Out of nowhere she got a sudden urge to look behind her. She was currently flying near the Slytherin goals, facing them.
When she looked back, she saw something that made her heart leap. There, in the center, was the snitch. It appeared to actually have been pursuing her. Rolling her eyes, she adjusted her course to backtrack toward the snitch. When she was about halfway to the snitch, it shot upward. It was heading high above the hoops. When she found herself beneath it, Pamela directed her broom upward in a Lion out of a Cannon manuever. She felt herself nearly unseated from the abruptness at it all, but she managed to stay on her broom. She wasn't going straight upward, but nearly so. She was at just a slight angle. At the speed she was going, she created a decent breeze even though the wind seemed to be non-existant. Now she just had to pray that no bludgers came her way and the other seeker didn't beat her to the snitch.

| [Slytherin Captain & Seeker]
As she looked around, the heat began to get to her. As she flew at a slow pace, letting her eyes search the area around her, she saw more than her fair share of mirages. After the tap-dancing goat she had seen a deer on Kaylee’s head, a bench full of balloons in the Gryffindor stands, Raistlin with a tiara, and a gigantic bottle of cider. The latter she had flown straight to due to the heat getting her and wanting something to drink. Of course it ran and she couldn’t reach it. This did cause commotion thinking she may have seen the snitch, but then they realized she was chasing air, which she soon did too.
After what seemed like forever, she saw the walnut-sized golden ball. Unfortunately, a spider monkey on a broom caught it and started running off it. Kaylee’s invisible spider monkey stole my snitch, she thought, having lost her logic once again that day. She zoomed after it and once she caught up with it she preformed a Speedy Tornado, which consisted of her spinning around the monkey attempting to confuse it or make it faint in dizziness. After a few seconds of it, it finally hit her. Kaylee’s spider monkey can’t be seen, she realized and once again discovered she’d been hit with another mirage. After this game I am going to swim in the Lake, giant squid or not.
She was now nearby the Slytherin goals and almost at the point of giving up playing due to insanity. That is until she noticed a nearby Pamela shooting up towards a golden ball. This time she was sure it was the snitch due to Pamela seeing it to and shot up after it also. She neared it, though Pamela was about as close if not more. The snitch then made a quick turn behind them and Cat pulled a Batty Turnover, which was called this because of the fact it was probably batty to attempt to do a half back flip on a broom and then continue to fly upside down.
She felt the blood rushing through her head as she hung upside down and sped towards the golden ball. Not bothering to look behind her to see if Pamela was anywhere close, Cat reached out her hand to reach the ball. It was still inches from her and she strained to get it. She licked her dry, chap lips as she put all her concentration on getting the ball. And then she caught it!
She grinned and foolishly moved on her broom in a way that caused her broom to start heading towards the ground. She tried her best to steer her broom upward so she didn’t crash. After a few troublesome seconds, she succeeded and flashed everyone a sheepish grin as she held the snitch in the air so everyone got a look.

| {Slytherin Beater}
Now that Shadow had managed to breathe again, she started to look around, breaking herself out of the kind of shock/trance she had been in. Her eyes darted around the pitch, her hand gripping the bat tightly. She was in no mood to mess around any more, nor to play nice. It was time to satisfy her thirst for revenge.
There was a resonating crack, which was normally made by a bludger being hit. Her eyes scanned the field before picking out the small dark blur heading for a chaser on her team. She crouched low over her broom, urging it to go faster as she sped towards her teammate. She swung to a halt and swung her bat with full force, hitting the bludger back at the beater. She had aimed for Demi deliberately, in no mood to let one of the opposing beaters try to hit one of her friends and get away with it. She used that tactic often enough, calling it the Rebound. The grim and stony expression on her face explained her feelings enough. Her ribs cracked again as she moved, sending her into spasms. She clenched her fists around her broom before flying off again, eyes scanning the field again for another dark blur.

| [Slytherin Chaser] Katherine heard the ding of the bell as Kaylee scored the first time, then watched Rai get and drop the ball. "I should be helping" she thought. She watched Rai throw the quaffel to Kaylee, but knew it was going to be off. She sped behind her, ready to catch it if she needed to. If Kaylee missed, she would get it... | |

| (Gryffindor Chaser)
The game was almost over, Erika couldnt belive what was happening. She raced up into the air to get into the game. Her Nimbus-Two-Thousand wasnt the best broom anymore but it was still fast. She flew threw the sky and as the Quaffle she swooped down and performed the move the Lions Pride to hide the ball. Most Chasers used the move to hide the ball under there arm away from sight. They would "prowl" towards the rings to score.
She knew she was late and shouted out to possition herself with the others on the team. "Pam!!" Erika shouted to get the attention of the searching Seeker. "Demi!!!" again she shouted to the Beater as she flew on torwards the Rings. Maybe she seemed like she was holding the Quaffle and the others knew. She stoped before she entered the Keeper's ring. If she entired she had to have the Quaffle. Everyone would just know, she stopped for a breather and to stop like to was looking and thinking of a stratigy.
Again like always there was never enough players on the Gyffindor Team. That was how they lost the last game because help-less as she was Erika was the only one against five very compeditive Hufflepuff players out to win. The only one playing other than Erika was Pam and she was a Seeker. A Seeker was no help until they spot the Snitch and fly after it. At least she had Demi to help. June was the Co-Captain and Beater and now Gyffindor had one other. Cris was the other Chaser and really the one player that was missing was a Keeper. Gryffindor's luck...
Erika focussed on the game to be played. It was blairing hot today on the Quidditch Pitch. It hurt to open your eyes to watch for a Quaffle, let alone Pam. She had to look for the Snitch and watch it as she moved fast on her broom to catch it. She waited for the right momment to kick into action, fly threw the air, and throw the Quaffle with trumendous force to go threw the hoop.
