10th House Quidditch: SLYTHERIN V GRYFFINDOR : 19th-23rd

(Slytherin Chaser)

Jessie smiled brightly as she walked her way onto the pitch… but wait! She was suddenly aware of how un-Slytherin smiling was! Quickly, she switched it to a sneer, hoping no one noticed. Mounting her broom, her sneer changed to smirk. She pushed her feet off the ground and felt herself spiraling upwards through the air. Jessie had not been on the pitch for a while, so finally flying again felt wonderful.

Looking around, she spotted a medium sized red ball being thrown into play- the quaffle. Forgetting everything she had just said to herself about it being un-Slytherin, she couldn’t help but smile brightly when she saw the quaffle. Jessie had had a special relationship with the quaffle throughout her time on the Slytherin Quidditch team. Some thought her mad, talking to a quaffle… but she felt her want to posses the quaffle would only help Slytherin.

Tracking where the quaffle was heading, Jessie grabbed hold of the front of her broom, wrapped her legs tightly around the end, and zoomed straight to the spot it should be… “Yes!” Jessie said to herself as she wrapped her fingers around the ball. “Quaffle-y! How have you been? It’s been a while hasn’t it?” She spoke to it. Than realizing that she had the quaffle, and no Gryffies had shown up yet, she could get a head start on the game.

“Ooooh-team!” Jessie called, looking around for her team mates.

-Slytherin Chaser and Captain-

Nancy walked out on the quidditch pitch with a smile. She missed playing and couldn’t wait to get back up in the air on her firebolt. She wasted no time getting ready. She mounted her broom quickly and kicked off from the ground, flying up into the cool night air. She inhaled the crispness of the night sky deeply, a smile on her red lips. Flying felt so great, so relaxing yet exciting.

She scanned the area up near the hoops with her deep green eyes and saw that Jessie, her Twinny and Cat were already up in the sky. Nancy watched closely, never taking her eyes off of her Twinny. She was quite unpredictable and you never knew what she was going to do with the quaffle.

She saw Cat grab the end of Twinny's broom and saw her begin to swing her around. Nancy laughed as she saw this. This was one of Jessie's favorite plays.

(Slytherin Beater and Co-captain)

Raistlin paced to the field in a bad mood. He mounted his broom holding his bat tightly and kicked the ground.

He watched his teammates

"Waht's up with all the spinning? Now I want to do it too"

Nancy was flying near him towards de gryff goals

"Here let me help you"

Raistlin grabed the end of nancy's broom, spin it round and round

"just another minute"

Finally he released her not sure if that was the right thing to do

"Anyway you owe me a wentworth miller in a towel. WHERE IS HE? i WANT HIM NOW!"

(Slytherin Chaser)

“Weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!” Jessie shouted, as she spun through the air. She loved this play, it was one of her favorites. As she spun around, her arms tightly wrapped around the quaffle, she spotted her twinny fly up to the pitch. A couple rotations later, she saw Raisty emerge onto the pitch also. 3 more rotations, and Nancy was spinning the same was she was.

Putting two and two together, she locked her eyes on Nancy, and wouldn’t let her head spin with the rest of her body, snapping it around when her chin was on her shoulder.

“Twinny!” She shouted when she snapped her neck for the third time. “Take good care of quaffle-y!” She held the quaffle out in front of her and one rotation later, tossed it straight to Nancy.

She quickly grabbed the front of her broom and tried to regain control over it. After pulling it to a halt, she quickly dove down low to get out of the way. “Go Nancy!” She cheered her on.

(Gryffindor Beater and Co-captain)

Amber rushed unto the pitch late, cursing under her breath when she saw about half of the Slytherin team was already there. As she heard the farmiliar sound of someone scoring she prayed that another Gryffindor was out on the pitch and she just didn't see them. Looking around, she realized that Nancy had been the one to score. She groaned and hopped unto her broom, zooming into the sky.

She caught sight of a nearby bludger, and looked around for the quaffle. There wasn't much she could do with a bludger if she didn't know who to hit it at, she caught up the bludger anyway. Trying to see who she had to hit it at.

"Where is everyone?!"

Aliza hurried onto the pitch to see that only Slytherins had arrived. She sighed at that and then saw that Nancy had scored a goal - not that it mattered. Members of both teams needed to be there for the match to begin. Aliza climbed on to her broom and did a quick lap of the pitch before swinging her bat around a bit to loosen up. Where was the rest of her team? Then Aliza saw Amber on the pitch - at least some one could be bothered to show up. "Hey Amber!" She yelled.

(Gryffindor Beater and Co-captain)

Amber smiled when she saw Aliza. Well now they only needed one more person and both sides would be evenly matched for now. Though, she'd much rather everyone got here, it'd make the game so much easier. After all until a chaser got there they couldn't score at all.

"Hey Aliza!" she yelled back. "Do you know where everyone else is?"

Gryffindor Beater

Aliza rolled her eyes at Amber. "No! But they'd better get here soon!" As a bludger approached the two of them Aliza hit it away. "So amby, whats the game plan?"

(Gryffindor Beater)

"Ummm..." Amber said cringing. "I thought you had one...." She said as she watched the other players zoom around. Trying to think up something quickly in case the time came that they needed one.

(SLyhterin Beater and Co-Captain)

Raistlin saw Amber and princess arriving in the field

"Ohhh party time!"

Raistlin chased after a buldger and hit it not to any of the gryffindor players but to the ground.

Raistlin grabbed his broom tightly and went after the bludger when him and the bludger were bleow the players Raistlin hit it upwards straight to amber!

(Gryffindor Beater)

Amber heard what Rai said and decided to keep an eye on him, already knowing he wanted to go after her. Honestly, if you were going to go after someone, you shouldn't tell them before the game. She rolled her eyes and sighed, she raised an eyebrow wondering what in the world he was doing hitting the bludger toward the ground.

She watched as he hit the bludger up toward her, and cursed under her breath again. She moved out of the way, and swung back her bat, hitting the bludger sideways toward a Slytherin chaser and smirked.

"Well that was a backfire on him."

(Slytherin Beater and Co-Captain)

Raistlin saw amber dodging the bludger but didn't lost his smile he had saw something amusing, the other bludger was passing near amber.

Raistlin shoot upwards catching the bludger near amber and hit it to her and almost hit her with the bat as they were so close.

"You know the beauty of this game is that there's more tha one bludger!"

Raistlin moved away fast from there before amber could react!

(Gryffindor Beater)

Amber was so shocked from nearly getting hit by the bat, that she forgot about the bludger momentarily. That moment was enough time for it to crash into her. She screamed both in pain and from the fall, cursing her luck and thinking of way's to kill Rai once this was over.

"HELP!!!!!!!"

{Slytherin Keeper-LATE}

"Ohnononono!!" Val shouted as she quickly leaped onto her broom and dashed off in the air, no time to do any hair fixing this morning! She was late-as usual- for the Quidditch match. "Sorrry!!!" she shouted through the air as she zoomed over to the goal posts.

"Okay!" she cried "I'm ready!"

She looked around the pitch. They had lost their last game because...well, no one was really doing anything. But, this time! They had to win. They couldn't let Slytherin lose their reputation! They had won the cup last year, and they were going to make it stay that way this year!

She fixed her hair into a ponytail and moved her bangs out of her eyes then peered around the pitch, looking for the quaffle.

{Slytherin Keeper}

Val tried to dive for the quaffle, but missed it, it went through the hoops. She swore quite loudly. Then did a mock friendly wave to June.

'Grr..Honestly....' she muttered under her breath. "I should be motivated to be better, to try and make up for my lateness!" Alright...I can do it...she flipped her ponytail then fixed her gaze on the Quaffle. Watching its every...little...tiny move! There was no way it was going to get past her again. Nuh uh.

She took her gaze off it for a second the look who had arrived from Gryffindor, and who Slytherin. It seemed people were less motivated to play these last few games...she shrugged and looked back at the Quaffle. 'Easier for us.' she thought.

(Slytherin Captain and Chaser)

Nancy watched as June came in and scored. A scowl spread across her features. She turned her broom and flew over towards Val, "don't worry about it, you're doing fine." She smiled at her and then quickly headed towards the middle of the pitch, her green eyes focused intently on the quaffle.

Once it was thrown back into play nancy flew as fast as she could towards it. She gripped her firebolt tightly with her legs and stretched her arms out in front of her. The quaffle landed in her hands and she tucked it under her right arm and placed her left hand on her broom.

As fast as she could she swung her broom back around, tipping to the right and rolling under so she was now flying sideways. She continued leaning to the right and within a few moments, she was now spiraling in a corkscrew fashion, picking up more and more speed as she headed towards the Gryffindor hoops.

She called out to Cat and Raisty, her trusty beaters. "Cover me my slippery friends." With a satisfied smirk on her red lips she continued making her way closer and closer to her target.

(Gryffindor Chaser)

June saw Nancy get the quaffle and was quickly on her tail. As Nancy spun and corkscrewed, June flew quickly to catch up with her. June heard Nancy's shout to Cat and Raisty, and she risked a quick glance around her to see if they were near. Noticing that they were coming closer, June counted under her breath as she flew fast alongside the Slytherin and carefully timed Nancy's revolutions in her corkscrew. Finally, after a few seconds, June reached out her hand and pushed the quaffle out of Nancy's arm. June smiled and as the quaffle dropped, she raced after it.

Thankfully, June caught the quaffle after she went into a steep dive turned to fly to the Slytherin goal posts, low in the air. To put off anyone following her (or any bludger, for that matter), June swerved and spun at random times, though always keeping the goalposts in her sight. When she reached them, June saw that Val was watching her every move. June really didn't want to do this to her friend, but Quidditch is Quidditch. "Sorry Val," June said with a grin and feinted three times before she threw the ball into the right goal hoop as she dived quickly down.

(Slytherin Captain and Chaser)

Nancy saw June heading towards her and she was quite shocked how easily June got the quaffle out of her hands considering the fast speed Nancy was flying at. She cursed and then watched as June headed towards the goals scoring without making really much of a play. Nancy smirked and then headed back out onto the middle of the pitch, saw the quaffle come into play and then swooped in on it, grabbing it and tucking in between her legs. She spun around and once more and headed towards the Gryffindor hoops.

She picked up speed as she flew going a bit faster with each few yards she covered. She looked around for one of her fellow chasers and seeing none in the area she continued her way onward. She liked making a few passes before scoring, showing off her teams excellent skills of teamwork.

(Gryffindor Seeker)

Cris came running towards the pitch. "Awww, stupid alarm clock... to let me oversleep... 2 days! That's a record even for me!", she thought angrily, but still somehow amused by her performance. But she barely had time to wonder whether she'd make it to the Guiness world book of records, when Madam Hooch popped her head into the locker room. "There you are! Onto your broom, now!"
"Errrr .. gomenasai...", Cris replied grinning apologetically.
"Cut the Japanese and hurry up!"
"Um, yes 'mam!"

She jumped onto her broom and flew up. Seeing that there weren't many Gryffindors on the pitch - but indeed too many Slytherins - she frowned. She didn't want to think about who would win in these conditions, so after quickly greeting the other players, she concentrated on making as much as possible out of her short time on the pitch.

While swooshing at high speed around the field, Cris saw Nancy's score with the corner of her eye. "We're behind with goals, aren't we?", she moaned to one of her fellow team-mates flying nearby. Inclining her head slightly to the left side - she was thinking! - she said this one overly intelligent thing: "I think we need some imagination to still win this...". Then she blinked and looked to the jury, thinking of some crazy plan .. it involved her houseelf and plastic food wrapping and... well.. but it probably was illegal. She sighed and zoomed away, flying higher. She hoped to have a better sight from here onto the whole pitch.

"Oh, there! What's that?", she said to herself, as a golden something glittered into her sight. She flew nearer and started wondering why the mysterious object didn't try to flee. That could only mean that... the snitch was drunk? Errrr... of course not! But maybe it wasn't the snitch! Definitely more probable. She was still intrigued - then she just realsed where the glitter was - in the spectators' stand! Annoyed, she pulled out her glasses from her pocket - and that was weird, she usually had no problems with identifying the snitch without glasses! What she recognised was just Luna Lovegood with another lion-shaped hat - that of course this time had a golden mane! She shook her head in disbelief before almost losing her temper. "Stupid hat!", she thought, "that's called 'confusing the seeker' and it should be against the rules!". She knew it probably was only going to get her in trouble if she flew up there and took Luna the hat off herself, so she shouted to Madam Hooch: "Referee, there's somebody confusing me over there!". Cris was indignated, really - she was late, they were losing and now this! - the last thing Gryffindor needed was for their Seeker to be confused by somebody in the crowd.
Madam Hooch looked up. "It's just a mascot.", she answered dully.
"But madam - ", Cris tried to explain, but was interrupted. "I referee the game, young miss, not what the crowd does - except if it's endangering the players - and it's not, in this case. You had better concentrate on the game too, if you don't want to miss the real snitch."
Cris sighed. There was obviously no way to argue with Madam Hooch and the only sensible thing to do at the moment was to fly on and forget anything had happened. Slightly sulking, she turned her broom around on the spot and resumed her search, keeping her glasses on, just for good measure.

[Slytherin Chaser]


Agatha was on the pitch in a flash as soon as she realized she was once again late. She flew up to the middle of the pitch where the quaffle was being thrown back in after yet another goal made by June. Agatha flew into position and as the quaffle was released, she darted straight for it. Caught off guard by her sudden appearance, she easily grabbed the ball and shot off straight to the Gryffindor goals. She had a lot to make up for an decided to start now. She was closing in on her destination and peered behind her and saw that everyone was still a ways behind her. She dove down to nearly the bottom of the three goals and started doing figure 8's in and out of all 3 of them, rising to the top as she went. Finally reaching the goals, she threw the quaffle over her head and gracefully whipped it into the highest middle goal with the back of her broomstick with ease. Hearing that bell sounding she threw her hands up and high-fived her teamates as they headed back to the middle of the pitch. She mouthed various sorries to her teammates for being late, but would totally make it up to them!

[Slytherin Chaser]


Agatha zoomed towards June as she flew towards the Slytherin hoops. Her speed was unreal. It was as though no matter what they did....they would never be able to stop her from scoring. Ever. Trying their best to reach her in time, you could hear a unanimous groan as they heard the the score bell ding yet again. As the Slytherin's headed back to the middle of the pitch they all gave a quick wink and a smirk for what was to come. Both teams surrounded the ref and with the blow of a whistle they were off like speeding bullets.

(Slytherin Captain and Chaser)

Nancy saw June score again and she headed towards the middle of the pitch. She saw Ame had arrived and she smiled at her. "Glad you made it!" She then turned her focus towards the now back in play quaffle and sped up to retrieve it. Wrapping her fingers around it tightly and tucking it under her left arm she flew quickly towards the Gryffindor hoops. She saw Ame flying along beside her and after a few moments Nancy focused her green gaze on her fellow chaser. "Here, you take this, you know you want it!" She laughed and then tossed the quaffle to Ame making sure that it was tightly in her grip.

"I'll fly along side you and guide you to the goals."

Ame glanced over at Nancy who now had the glorious ball of red. Her adrenanline was pumping sooo fast, she thought her veins would burst. She smiled as Nancy yelled over to her...in the next second she was craddling the quaffle herself, and ready to score again...she knew she couldn't do it alone, and she was glad her team mates were there to help out. Afterall...thats what quidditch is all about. Ame flew like she was being chased by a pack of wolves and was able to quickly dodge the bludgers flying all around. Up and down the went in their journey to the hoops. As they approached the goals, she slowed down a bit and looked over to Nancy for direction...they both saw that the goal keeper was preoccupied and didn't seem to notice them racing towards the goals...and she thought Nancy might want to make this goal since she had just scored the last, and she was in the mood to share.

(Slytherin Seeker)

"I'm late! I'm late! I'm late!" Seamus O'Riley was busy in the locker room, pulling his Quidditch robes over his head hastily, throwing on his pads as he pranced out the door with his Firebolt over his shoulder. They were playing Gryffindor...too bad Drake wasn't Seeker this season...he's pulverize him. He darted out onto the field and without even looking to see what was going on he threw his broom out infront of him and leaped on. In a flurry of emerald he was off.
"Where are you?" He muttered to himself as he whizzed around. He didn't even know what was going on in the game anymore, but as he took off around the Gyrffindorend of the Pitch he heard a roar from the Slytherin spectators. Nancy had just scored. He put on a grin and whizzed down the Pitch towards her, pulling ip beside her and giving her a wink. "Good job, darlin'. Sorry I'm late." He gave a mischievous raise of his brows and went into a dive towards the ground. Maybe he could confuse the other Seeker with his awesome fake-out abilities. Really he was just having some fun.
He pulled out of the dive just a foot above the ground and took off into the air again, past Madam Hooch and..oh? What's this? A glint of gold? IT WAS. There he saw the little devil of a ball, flitting around near the leg of Val, their Keeper. This was the perfect opportunity. He pulled his broom round to face the goal posts and licked his lips, keeping his eyes on the Snitch. He zoomed right towards Val and right before he would have hit her he pulled to the side, giving her wink as he zoomed aorund the first goal post. He carefully balanced himelf on his feet as he came around to the middle post, jumping off his broom and sending it through the second and landing back on it on the other side. Yeah. He was a show-off. He went into a dive and snatched the Snitch up from the air as it began to flit away, squirming in his hand all the while.
So it did pay off to be late after all. He came to a running stop on the ground, dropping his broom on the soft grass as he held up the little golden ball for everyone to see. Nancy couldn't be mad at him now!

(Slytherin Captain and Chaser)

Nancy smiled when she saw Seamus fly onto the pitch. He was quite late but after seeing his wink and heard his appology she decided not to yell at her husband. "Glad you're here Seamy, let's get this game wrapped up." She returned his wink and then flew around to the middle of the pitch watching Seamus intently.

After several fancy moves by the seeker, including jumping off of his broom she saw him catch the snitch. She gave out a loud cheer and then flew down to the ground and stood next to him, giving him a high five. "Talk about making a grand entrance." She smiled at him and winked once more. "Nice job."

Joining her fellow team mates, Ame congratulated Seamus on his spectacular catch! She high-fived and gave hugs to everyone on a game well played. This years team had been through quite the line up change, but they were stronger than ever! Quidditch cup here we come!!!
