Bella's got a bomb proof car, she's already broken the news of her engagement, and the wedding almost upon us. So what do you think? Did Renee's reaction to the engagement, and Billy and Charlie's falling out over Jacob surprise you?

Let's see, do we need spoiler tags for everything? I'm guessing since this is a Breaking Dawn thread, anyone coming in here is expecting to be royally spoiled if they haven't read the book yet. Buuut...
I actually really liked this chapter. It really helped to build up the excitement of the book release and to the rest of the book as your reading it. Compared to the first three books' first chapters, i'd call this a bit boring, but I did start laughing really hard when she found out the car Edward had gotten her had missle-proof glass. xD
hehe Her happy place was pretty hilarious also.

| Hmm I dont know whether spoilers are necessary as people coming in here should realise that everyones talking about it but for now maybe we should just in case - Spoiler:
The first part of this chapter I thought was a little long and drawn out though it did seem to be a catch-up chapter for the most part which was good as I hadnt had time to re-read the last book again before this came out.
I loved the missile proof glass car that Edward got Bella and her reaction was great.

| I just started reading through it. I did love - Spoiler:
the missile-proof car. I think there was a bit of a joke behind it for Edward, but more toward his tendency to over react. It was a bit boring, but not as bad as "The Other Minister" in HBP. I don't even read that chapter anymore. Yeah, this chapter was pretty good as catch-up chapters go.

I wasn't THAT surprised by Charlie's reaction - he's Charlie, afterall! :D But I WAS kinda surprised how Renee took it... okay, so I didn't expect her to be all "WHAT ARE YOU DOING, GIRL!?!?!?", but the way she actually took it, shocked me... a bit. I expected her to be a bit unsure of it, and be all "...but are you sure, Bella?" xD
Oh! And the dudes who wanted to take a picture of Bella's car was funny :D
