GYMNASTICS : Part 2/6

Welcome to the gymnastics 2nd part of the HE Olympics!

Instructions

There
are 6 parts to the gymnastics which you must complete all of them. Each
part involves only a little work and all points will be added up
throughout to determine medal winners when gymnastics close.

Parts 1-5 are scheduled upon the calendar. Part 6 is open from now until close of part 5.

Please note that only those signed up can participate. Those who do not complete all parts may still enter some though will not be considered for medals, only recieve points per part. You must do all parts to be considered for medals!

Part 1 : Uneven Bars

Uneven Bars - You must create a 100 word drabble
showing off your talents on two bars which are at two different levels
above your head. Just dont fall!

Rigby hit the spring board, sailing over the low bar, latching onto the high. She performed a pak salto with a full twist, transitioning from high to low, back to high. Her heart thrummed as she did the first of three releases, flying higher each time. She could hear the crowd gasp as she caught the bar once, twice, three times!. Rigby built up speed for her release skill. Three and half twists in the air, she hit the mat, feet firmly in place. She smiled triumphantly, and gave the victory sign to a roaring crowd, celebrating her incredible routine.

The springboard rockets Samantha to the high bar. She swings around and gains momentum. She sails from high to low with a Bhardwaj Salto. Transition complete, she stands on the low bar and leaps for the high. Swinging around to get the correct speed, she releases and does a front flip through the air, catching the bar from a reverse angle. She does a few pirouettes; and then some giant swings to prepare herself for the dismount. Gaining force with every turn she releases, performs a double back, and lands precisely on the mat. Smiling happily, she salutes the judges.

Run, jump, grab, spin ,spin, spin, drop, grab, spin, spin, hold, double back flip land. Run, jump, grab, spin ,spin, spin, drop, grab, spin, spin, hold, double back flip land. Polly replayed the sequence again and again in her head in order to make sure that it was stuck there. Breathing hard Polly began to do the stretches pulling her muscles into positions that made others wince she prepared herself mentally and physically. Hearing her name called out Polly stood on the line raised her arm and Run, jump, grab, spin ,spin, spin, drop, grab, spin, spin, hold, double back flip land.

Shadow assessed the bars before taking her run up, leaping from the springboard up onto the bars, doing a neat handstand on the lower bar. She allowed herself to crumple, doing a forward roll around the bar to gain momentum before vaulting up onto the higher bar, managing to roll around it before 'standing' up straight in a handstand again. Concentrating, she vaulted off the higher bar, turned an axle, grabbing the lower bar. She turned a backwards roll before vaulting off the lower bar and turning a backflip, landing perfectly on the mat. She saluted the judge and left the mat.

Feet together, just keep breathing, Elana reminded herself, turning to the uneven bars. She swiftly ran and jumped up to shortly grab the low bar, only using it to give her something to push off of to get to the high bar. Her hands locked on the high bar and she swung around it, legs stretching to splits. Keeping up her momentum, she brought her feet back together and crossed the space between the high and low bar with a spin. She swung around the low bar once before letting go and, with a tucked summersault, landed on the mat.

UB - Uneven Bars

Outfit:

Raistlin rose to the low bar with a Glide swing followed by a Kip drawing awe exclamations from the audience as the Uneven Bars is a woman’s Olympics event but he was moving, swinging , flipping with the same flexibility as women, helped by the fact he wasn’t very tall or muscled but healthily fit. Continuing with a Cast handstand he arched his body in a way no body should arch causing some people to rub their own muscles thinking they couldn’t do that. Finally he landed firmly on the mat performing a Flyaway. Not smiling as usual he greeted the judges and left with the crowd cheering.

Herby waited for the right moment, and jumped from the spring board. She flew as high as she could before reaching for her first bar. Gripping it she flipped around it, her hand spinning around the bar at full tilt. Spinning to the front she switches hands and sores to the top bar. Releasing herself, Herby dropped to the lower bar. Another hand switch to help spin her around in the correct direction. Soaring around the bar twice, Herby released herself and did a double front flip before landing on the mat. Steadying herself, she raised her arms and smiled.

She catapulted off the springboard, twisted in midflight, hands gripped high bar.
L-Grip, slight pain, she swung twice, thrice, let go. Stretched her body, layed-out forward salto. Regular grip.
Release: check.

Forward Giant facing low bar, unclasp at the bottom, layout with half turn,
caught low bar, body stretched into handstand, a vertical line, Piroette to face higher bar.
Free hip, never touching, let go, flew back - another half turn - caught the high bar above her head.
Transitions: check.

Another Forward Giant, let go under the bar, layout somersault,
landing stuck perfectly, arms stretched high, smile.
Dismount: check.

Shausto felt her body rush through the air after a simple mount. Her hand reached out to grasp the higher bar as momentum swung her forward and back again. Her arms strained to pull her body up and into a series of turns, going into a headstand and back giant. She let go to do a geinger, looking down for the bar after the flyaway ½ turn, then continuing into a forward giant. A straddle back handstand took her to the lower bar with another forward giant before she let go in a flyaway, landing her feet on the mat with a tiny step, hoping it would be enough.

Sweat beaded Mel’s brow. Circling the bar, she set up her move – she elevated herself into a handstand, pirouetting in the next second, loosing her nerve.

Breathing deeply, keeping cool as she maneuvered herself into a cast, Mel pushed off the bar with her hips, lifting into a handstand. Next moment she swung back around, and lifted her hips once more to straddle the rearward swing, facing the lower bar. With a final breath, her arms shaking, Mel moved into an overshoot, catching the lower bar, and released the bar into a backward salto, feeling her heart beat as the moment sunk in – she’d done it!

Alice jumped of the springboard and firmly grasped the lower bar. She swung high and released, performing a summersault in midair before grabbing hold of the higher bar. Alice swung around the higher bar. Release, flip, catch repeated three times. Alice carefully placed her feet on the bars, stretched out in straddle position as she continued to spin around the bar. She sprang off the bar, flipping and twisting in midair before catching herself on the lower bar not a split second later. She gracefully swung for the last time, performing a backflip before neatly landing on the mat. With a small salute to the judges, Alice left the arena.

Fixing her grips, Jenn hopped onto the springboard to get to the higher bar 8 feet overhead. As Jenn did a couple of German Giant swings to build up the momentum, she quickly let go of the bar to perform her first release. Feeling the wind whip in her face as she performed a Tkatchev skill.

Releasing the high bar, she hurled her body to the lower bar to make the transition Pak Salto style. As sweat started to gather in her hands, Jenn used the Shaposhnikova to transition back to the high bar. Swiftly into a Hristkieva release, she prepared her dismount and hit her dismount. A front flyaway.

(110 nearly didn't make it! lol)

This event is now closed. Your scores are below. The third round will be up in the next week. Those who did not complete this round may still complete in other rounds for points though can not be considered for medals.
