and will end on Saturday 27th September - 5 days of rpg posting!

When you post - please put your position and team (eg. Gryffindor Beater) in brackets before you begin the RPG post - otherwise your post will be void of any points!

Weather: An unusual September heat wave has come to Hogwarts.

Remember to observe the new Quidditch rules: day one is for arriving to the pitch, after which the referee will post and the game can properly begin and chasers can no longer immediately state that they have scored. They must wait for the Keeper to post. See the howler in the main forum for more info.

Amy flew onto the pitch, wondering why no players had turned up yet.

"Oh well,"

She released the balls, and blew her whistle.

"Let the game begin!"

(Ravenclaw Beater)

(Sorry I wrote this really fast..lol)

Herby glanced outside and saw the sun shinning off in the distance.What a beautiful day. Grabbing her beaters bat and goggles she headed outside. Boy was she mistaken. The sun shinned down on her, hard. It felt as though her body was inching closer and closer towards the suns gravity.

Gah, this isn't fall weather! Walking as fast as she could, reaching the shady trees as she went. Upon reaching the pitch, Herby jumped and her broom in hopes getting a slight breeze to hit her.

It took Herby a few seconds to notice that she was the only one here. Hmm, interesting. Their probably enjoying the air con. Without notice the referee releases the balls. With that, herby took off like a flash heading towards a bludger.

Kim woke up to the song "I kissed a girl", by Katie Perry. She didn't always like the songs she woke up to, but she wouldn't trade her unique alarm clock for anything. Kim rolled out of bed and washed her face. SHe looked out the window of the tower she was in. It was very sunny. SHe looked at her clock. It was hot out.

She sighed and pulled on her clothes. She didn't wanna be late for their first match of the season, again. SHe put on her 'breathable' tennis shoes and headed down to the pitch.

Approaching the game sight, she could see only one player in the air, a Ravie. She smiled, at least they were on the upside of players. She ran into the locker rooms, grabbed her Firebolt, and hopped on her broom. SHe sped into the air, looking windswept.

SHe snatched the Quaffle out of the air and sped off towards the opposing hoops. SHe didn't remember who they were playing. Looking into the stands she rememberes they were playing the badgers- Hufflepuff. She nodded as if in approval.

Not knowing if it was completely fair, Kim threw the Quaffle directly towards the center hoop.

(RAVENCLAW BEATER)

"Excuse, excuse," muttered Elana as she kicked open the door to the Quidditch locker room. She quickly donned her Quidditch robes and slid off her flats, tennis being much better for staying on while flying around. "Muses, I need an excuse!" she called, half heartedly glancing at the ceiling to see if any of them would care to help her out. The truth was, she had simply forgotten to set her alarm and had woken up late and started her usual day until someone had pointed out that she should be on the pitch. She grabbed her broom and bat and sprinted out of the locker room into the warm autumn air.

Taking a look around above her, she saw that there were only two players - and both on her team! Well, that was good, at least. She kicked off and flew over to Kim, who had just thrown the Quaffle. Herby was chasing a Bludger; Elana kept her eyes open for the other in case she'd need it. Slowing to a stop at Kim's side, she said, "So sorry I'm late! I take it I didn't miss anything?"

(Ravenclaw Chaser)

Running down to the pitch Polly cursed herself under her breath she had forgotten about quidditch..again. She needed to get more organised with everything her school work just everything. Sighing she quickly pulled of her clothes and slipped into her quidditch uniform smiling at the new decoration she had done on it. Instead of simply saying Polly she had changed it to say Queen Polly with a small crown over the top of the 'Q'.

Grabbing her broom Polly dropped her clothes onto the ground and ran out onto the pitch looking up into the air Polly smiled to find that on the pitch was just Ravenclaws she knew her team were great but Polly really wanted to get some competition on with the Hufflepuffs she was in one of them moods.

Kicking of from the ground Polly did a few spinning turns in mid air spinning her broom round and round to warm up her muscles. She then looked around at the other players wondering what was happening in the game.

Polly giggled as she watched Kim launch a shot towards the Hufflepuff goals serves them right for not being here she smiled knowing full well that this must have happened to her team many times but enjoying the easy goal.

Matthew woke with a start, his alarm buzzed beside him making the clock vibrate across his bedside table. Matthew smiled glad that his alarm had woken him, he had a history of being late for important things. And this morning was very important indeed.

Matthew got up and pulled on his clothes, a red top and his jeans which lay at the bottom of his fourposter bed. He flicked his wand and his bed was made and the drapes tied back up perfectly again. A guy could get used this sort of life. Matthew left the Hufflepuff dormitory and walked down the staircase into the common room, he took one more look at the notice board just to check and see if he got the time and date right. he had, Good he thought, first game in half an hour.

Matthew sat at the table in the great hall nibbling on a piece of toast. he didn't see the captain for the team yet, nor was Miss. Etta at the top table with the rest of the teachers, Bobbette and Bobbina Matthew thought smiling. He must have looked pretty weird just looking at a piece of toast because people were giving him strange looks.

What seemed like a short time later Matthew was walking down the bank towards the qudditch pitch, he could hear people shouting and roaring already, but it must have just been the earlier people, a certsin groupo always came earlier to watch the school band play, Geeks he thought looking at his watch.

His heart skipped 30 beats, his face went purple, his eyes nearly froze over from not blinking enough. It was half past twelve, 'WHAT THE RUDDY HELL HAPPENED TO THE TIME.?' he yelled running down the rest of the bank.

Muttering long insulting words under his breath Matthew burst into the changing rooms, he pulled on his robes over his clothes and ran to get his broom from the cupoboard, the one thing that had changed that year, he know had the new Nimbus 2008, suposidly better than the Firebolt.But he wouldn't know, he hadn't had a o on it yet.

Flying out onto the pitch Matthew saw that four of the Ravenclaw players were already on, "Sugar lumps..." Matthew muttered under his breath. The balls had been released and he was glad that there was two chasers on their team for a little competition , but then anxious that there was two beaters, he was buggered until Etta came.

Looking at the posts Matthew saw that the ball was zooming towards them, "NO!" Matthew yelled out, this time he was going to help huffies win... Matthew rached the ball in the nick of time, or maybe not in time enough, just when he thought he'd got it it slipped from his fingertips, it was still heading towards the goals and there was nothing he could do about it.

(Hufflepuff Seeker and Co- Captain)

Skie bit her lip and rolled over in her sleep. “Stop speaking in Spanish you stupid guitar…” Growling, Skie pulled her covers over her head as the insistent guitar switched from Spanish to just plain old buzzing and ringing that sounded like… well, like an alarm clock. Flipping herself over in one solid motion, Skie buried herself under her pillow to try to shut out the sound. “FINE FINE FINE! I’ll wake up already!” Skie rolled over and onto the floor, and began to crawl on her hands and knees to find the alarm clock that was giving her so much trouble this morning. As she ran into her bed headfirst, Skie blinked and rubbed her brow angrily, muttering about waking up early. “Where are you, you nasty little piece of work? Why I oughta…” Skie found the alarm clock buzzing under a pile of clothes, where she had probably kicked it off tossing and turning in last night’s sleep. Checking the date on the alarm, Skie groaned and then went to check her planner. Blank. That’s odd… Skie thought to herself. I was sure there was SOMETHING that I needed to do today… Uh-oh… I’m getting old! Bemoaning her getting oldness, Skie slipped into her brother’s comfy shorts and Hufflepuff t-shirt and slid out the door and into the common room. Noticing how empty it was, Skie proceeded to plop herself down in her favorite cushy black armchair. “Is anybody here?” Skie’s only reply was silence. “Jeez… I wonder where everyone went…” Then Skie found her answer. Posted on a bulletin board in bold black and yellow lettering was ‘QUIDDITCH GAME AGAINST RAVENCLAW ON WEDNESDAY! BE THERE TO SUPPORT YOUR TEAM!’. Skie jumped up like she had been stung by a bee and screamed, “HOLY CROW!” Running out the door, Skie paused to ascertain that she was hardly wearing proper quidditch gear, thought for a second, grabbed her boots, and then disappeared quickly out of the room.

Hobbling down the stairs, Skie shoved her boots on and continued to hop down the stairs like a women possessed. “MOVE YOU SHORT PEOPLE!” As she gracelessly stumbled down the stairs screaming at whoever so much as looked at her, Skie could feel her temper reaching a boiling point and beginning to overflow. When she reached the bottom of the staircase, Skie felt it slide beneath her. “Oh no you-!” The staircase was beginning to move, and Skie still hadn’t reached her destination. “NO!” Yelling at the top of her lungs, Skie jumped off of the slowly gaining speed staircase and in a Matrix- esque motion did a forward roll onto the floor and stood, before dashing off towards the quidditch locker room. Stumbling forward, Skie finally reached the locker room and proceeded to slip into her robes. Trying to train herself into breathing more slowly, Skie grabbed Timothy and turned towards the pitch. Walking out onto the grass, Skie saw that there were already players on the pitch, AND the balls had been released.

“Oh hobgoblins.” Skie snarled under her breath when she saw that only one other Hufflepuff was on the pitch. Waving at Matthew, Hufflepuff's new chaser, Skie then turned her attention away from her teammate. Stretching out her arms, Skie then got back to business. The little Hufflepuff spitfire had a date with the golden snitch.

(Hufflepuff Beater and Captain)

Rose rolled around in her bed, smiling at her dream. "M...Mista J...." She grabbed a pillow and threw it across the room. "Mista J!" Suddenly, with a loud, obnoxious buzzing, her alarm clock rang and Rose woke with a slight yelp. She fumbled with the buttons until it turned off, then sighed and streached out on the bed. Her cat layed by her feet, purring happily with Rose's Joker plushie under his paws. Smiling, the little Huffie girl stroked his fur and rubbed her face against his. "Don't eat Mister J, Gator, or I'll just have to kill you." The cat turned over, completly ignoring her. Rose grabbed her shoes and hobbled to the girls room to get ready for her big Quidditch game.

After Rose was dressed and refreshed, she skipped over to the locker room to get her broom and gear on. She walked out onto the pitch before remembering she was a Beater this year, then quickly ran back in to grabbed a bloody, chipped bat. "Now, my friend, lets see how well you work." Swinging her leg over her broom, Rose flew up to join the others. There were a good handful of the Ravenclaws on the pitch, and the game was already in play. Daaaaarn, Rose thought, trying to figure out who had what and where the bludgers were. Sighing, she pulled out her wand and did a quick little spell. A long, yellow banner with HUFFIES spiraled across it in black zipped out, and with another flick of Rose's wand, flew over to the Ravenclaw stand and covered them all. She smiled. "And that's the team thats winning today. Don't you forget it!"

Rose then flew over to Mattew. "Hey Mat!" she called, eyeing Skie. "Your playing this match? Where's Etta?"

(Ravenclaw Seeker)

Elladora slowly blinked her eyes opened and yawned. It was awfully warm in her bed for a September at Hogwarts. She blinked to regain her vision and walked over to get dressed. She stopped in front of a mirror and started laughing at the complete mess her hair was in. She brushed through it lazily and then looked out the window. A lot of people were in the Quidditch Pitch already, flying around, in the stands… at a game… that she was supposed to be at…

“Crud!” Elladora yelled loudly, ripping through her hair quickly while changing into clothes that would be easy to take off later. Still putting her arms through her shirt, she sprinted down the stairs out to the Quidditch Pitch and into the locker room. Elladora put on her robes quickly glad that they were indeed the lightweight Seeker robes. Strapping on her knee pads and elbow pads, she one-handedly grabbed her dark-tinted goggles and slung them around her neck. She pulled a hair tie around her wrist and grabbed her Firebolt, rushing out onto the pitch.

Once Elladora had flown into the air, she began tying her unusually long hair into a ponytail and put her goggles on so she could see well. “Sorry I’m late guys,” Elladora called over to her fellow Ravenclaw teammates. “The one day I don’t set my alarm clock…” She looked around the field, glad that only three Hufflepuffs had arrived, but feeling a bit of competition with the other Seeker.

Elladora glanced at the stands and saw a Hufflepuff banner over the Ravenclaw side. She sighed, How childish... Silently, and barely tapping her wand, she Vanished it. Then she grinned, Kim had shot the Quaffle directly through the center hoop. Of course their Keeper was gone, but it felt good to have some points. Elladora began her duty as Seeker and began the search for the Snitch.

(Hufflepuff Beater)

Whilst the battle of Ravenclaw Vs Hufflepuff took place on the pitch, Etta was waging war against, Madame Pompfrey.

"I'm shine, lets sme gos," she protested trying to scramble of bed feeling as weak as a kitten. "I'll snet smy minons son yous!"

"Lie DOWN!" barked Madam P, struggling to force Etta back under the blanket. "You have the flu and if you set foot onto that pitch you'll get pneumonia!"

Etta rolled away from Madam P and out of the bed, she heaved herself to feet and started to run from the hospital wing.

"Already shad thats!" she called over her shoulder. "Yous don'ts gets sits twice."

Triumphant with her breakout attempt, Etta ran from the Hospital Wing and made as far as the court yard.

The sun was shining down on her blonde head, yet she was shivering with cold, sweat was already dripping down her forehead. Her aching limbs forced her to stop. Glancing down at her Badger jumper suit, Etta knew she'd never make it to the pitch running. Pulling out her wand Etta concentrated hard.

"ACCIO BROOMs" she said and sneezed loudly. Groaning Etta was soon buried under a pile of brooms and a small child. "Whos yous?" she asked the young boy who looked like a first year.

"Broom Broom Miss!" he squeaked and ran away fast.

"I onlys askeds his names," she muttered digging through the mountain of brooms and pulling out her own lobely firebolt.

Climbing onto her broom for dear life, Etta took off towards the pitch hoping Bobette had managed to retrieve her Beaters Bat from the HoH office. The broom ride took its time. leaving Etta to wonder if it was wise to let Bobette be in charge of Huffie House whilst she was ill.

"Ams HERE!" shouted Etta with a croak waving her arms as she flew over the stands filled with supporters. "sorrys ams lates."

"Bobette?" Etta shouted looking for her little badger friend who was having a cocktail party with the Slytherin supporters. "Bat. Now."

Once the Beater's Bat was firmly in her hands, Etta looked at the Ravenclaw Chasers and wondered who to hurt first.

Her mind was made up, Etta cast her eyes around for a Bludger and grinned when she saw one flying just behind her. Turning quick and fast, she chased down the Bludger and in one fluid motion performed the Huffle Shuffle sliding down slightly so she could perform the Rotating Power Beat , spinning herself round in a circle three times looking like a discus thrower, Etta unleashed the extra power onto the Bludger and sent it vibrating and shaking straight for Polly's right shoulder blade.

(Ravenclaw CHaser)

Kim smiled as she watched the stands fill up, along with the air. There seemed to be quite a few players. SHe knew of course, it wasn't the whole of both teams, it never was...

Polly had flown up, so did Elana and Ella. Matt, from Hufflepuff had shown up, so did a couple other Huffies. Ravenclaw was desperately needing their Keeper, but she hadn't shown up. Kim growled, looking over to the hoops. SHe squealed. It had gone in!!! She heard the inmistakable "ding!!!" that made it official. Kim whooped and retrieved the ball. SHe knew she still needed to play fair. Kim yelled for Matt's attention and threw him the ball. Kim knew that's what would happen if the Kepper was there, the ball would go to their team.

After tossing the ball, Kim sped up to mid-field and waited for Matt to pass by. She thought about this as the Muggle game soccer. Kim played this all the time, she was good at it. SHe imagined that Matt was trying to make a goal, and she was defense. SHe had to help her goalie, even though there wasn't one.

(Hufflepuff Keeper - Sorry I'm late, I HATE HOMEWORK!)

"Gerroffme..." Kate mumbled flapping her arms around like a lunatic, "Geroff me! GERROFFME!" She screamed, and sat bolt upright in bed. Sweat was pouring down her face. She had been having a nightmare about Bobbette and Bobbina attacking her for arriving late to the Quidditch game. "Phew! It was only a dream." She sighed. "There is no Bobbete or Bobbina attaking me and I am not late for Quidditch."

Looking around her dorm, Kate signed and turned towards the window. "Lovely, Heatwave still on. No chance of the ball slipping through my fingers in this weather!" She said to herself. Spotting the Quidditch pitch, Kate sighed again. Best get going! She thought to herself. Then, taking another look, Kate saw that people were actualy on the pitch already.

Kate ran over to her alarm clock. "NOOOOO! Im late! The game started hours ago!" Screeching as she ran around the room, Kate gathered up her things. "Boots, Gloves, Sun-Goggles, Robes, What else?" She looked around the room agian. "BROOM!" She cried, smaking herself around the face. "COME ON! YOU'RE LATE!" She screamed to herself.

Running down the dorm stairs 3 at a time, Kate sent 1st years ducking for cover. "Sorry!" She called over her sholder. Kate ran into the great hall, to see it completely empty other than a few straglers on their way to the match.

Reciving odd glances, Kate grabbed a slice of toast, wolfed it down and ran straight back out agian.

Deciding there would be no point in running, Kate hopped onto Broomy and flew over to the changing rooms, Pulling on her gear as she went.

Stopping only to pull on her robes, she ran out onto the pitch and leaped again onto Broomy.

Seeing Matthew, Skie, Rose and Etta out of the pitch, Kate flew over in their direction.

"Im sooooooo sorry I am late!" She cried to her team mates. "What have I missed!?" Not waiting for a reply, she looked up at the scoreboard. "POO! 10-0!" Cursing herself, she flew over to the goals. The ball was in Matthews hands at the moment, but as Kate knew, that could all change suddenly.

(Ravenclaw chaser)

'GO GO RAVENCLAWS GO GO!!!!!!!!!!' Polly screamed to get her team more spirted 'COME ON GUYS LETS WIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! RA...RA..RAVENCLAW' she screamed with her voice made loud my the use of a spell.

Looking around at her fellow team mates Polly saw that Kim was near their own goals so Polly desiced to fly towards the opposing goals incase Kim was to retireve the goal and make a long pass. The fire ball technique they had prepaired was one where if a quididtch player got the quaffle they would make a long pass and shoot before the other chasers had chance to get to them making it seem as though the ball was on fire. Though the two girls had yet to have time to put this certain move into play.

(Hufflepuff chaser.)

Matthew waited, his eyes almost closed, 'Ding!' the ball had zoomed in...
"GOD DAMMIT, YOU FILTHY FEINS!" he screamed at the top of his lungs.
He looked around suddenly aware of what he'd done, then as if by merical itself, Skie walked onto the pitch, looking a little messed up but still in good timing...

Matthew flew around the pitch once, before noticing that his lap made him miss the entrance of Rose, Etta and Kate...
"Oh mama, too hot? Too spicey?" Matthew giggled under his breath, he was now amused by the fact that they were loosing quidditch, he knew they'd be back on top form soon enough.

Matthew looked around to see a big quaffle flying his way...
"Oh damnations!" he screamed like a girl, catching the ball but struggling to keep it in his hands. He needed to get used to being a chaser, he still felt strange without his bat... the poor beloved bat...

Matthew's eyes narrowed as he sarcastically thanked Kim for the ball...
Crazy Badger Kick Matthew thought, smiling at his brilliant idea...
"Lets go barbie girl..." he sang on the way down the pitch...

Placing the quaffle between the nook of his leg and his foot Matthew did a backwards looptheloop, laughing as he kicked it towards the goals...
"Come on..."

(RAVENCLAW BEATER)

All of a sudden, there was an explosion of players - Polly, Matt, Skie, Rose, Ella and Etta had appeared! Elana grinned; now there was a game to play!

The bell dinged, signaling a successful goal for Ravenclaw. Beaming with pride, Elana called, "Great shot, Kim!" Laughing at Matt's exclamation, she said, "Language, Matthew! We bathe as much as you, and certainly aren't fiends!" The Ravenclaw Chaser, noting the absence of a Keeper, graciously threw the ball back into play. Matt caught the Quaffle and began racing towards the Ravenclaw goals as Elana took off after a Bludger. She couldn't just let him score the easy way! There was a Bludger zipping around at the base of the Raven goals, and so she tilted her broom downwards at a steep angle to catch it. As she neared it, she raised her bat and gave a swing, whacking it upwards. She followed it up, aiming to come back at playing level in time to stop Matt from shooting. However, it had taken longer to get the Bludger than she'd realized, as Matt had already thrown the Quaffle.

Scowling, Elana kept after the Bludger. She wouldn't use it now, but after the score was updated or, hopefully, not, she'd decide what to do with it. And so she zoomed off after it, keeping ears open for the ding.

(Hufflepuff Beater and Captain)

Rose frowned as she heard the ringing 'ding' stating that the Quaffle had gone in. And the points didn't go to Hufflepuff. She flipped over on her broom, scanning for the demonic little bludgers. She spotted one, but for some reason wasn't in the mood too knock it towards anyone. Letting out her breath slowly and wiping the sweat off her face, Rose took a quick lap around the pitch, sending small yellow sparks out of the end of her wand. They spiraled into the air like fireworks, crackling and sizziling. Standing up on her broom, while it was still zooming by the crowd with increadible speed, the Huffie Captain put her wand to her throat and muttered a spell. The next second her voice was trippled as she yelled over the cheering.

"GO HUFFIES, DO YOUR STUFF!
WE CAN SHAKE THEM, WE ARE TOUGH!
SCREAM REAL LOUD
ROCK THE CROWD!
SHAKE IT, MAKE IT, BAGERS FOR THE CUP!"

Rose smiled at the waves of yellow and black in the stands. Sitting back down on her broom, she cleared her mind and tried to get serious about the match. Soooo, Ravenclaw was ahead 10 to 0. No biggy. There Keeper still hadn't shown. Great. And now Kate was her. Even greater. And.....

"ETTA!" Rose saw her favorite Head of House flying up, and flew over beside her. "OhmygoshI'msogladtoseeyouI'mhappyyoushowedthisissogreatwearesogoingtowinis
anyoneelsecommingweneedatleastonemorechaseratleastbutIstillthinkwearesogoingtowinandI'magainsorryfornotbeingabletomakeittothelastgamebythewayhowdidwedo
cuzlikeI'msohypedandIknow-" Rose stopped and blinked, noticing Etta shiver, yet sweat was flowing down her face like a waterfall. "Um, Ettie? Are you ok? You look like some serious crap! Should I get Madam P?" Rose's expression was now concerned. She didn't want her 'overlord' to play if she was sick.

"Hey MATTHEW!!! Watch your langwage on the pitch! There's first years here!" She called angrily to the Huffie. When Rose turned back to Etta, the beater had already sought out a ball and sent it soaring over to Polly. She frowned. "Etta, please don't push yourself..."

{Ravenclaw Keeper}

Rigby tripped over her own feet in her haste to get out to the pitch. She managed to break her fall, but already she was off to a clumsy start.

Great, just great.

The hot air hit her hard, she was fed up with sunshine! What she wouldn't do for a nice cloudy, overcast day to match her mood. Looking up she saw a blur of activity. Everyone in the world seemed to be playing quidditch on her pitch today. Her bad mood increased as she flew to her goal posts. It was only her second game as keeper and she was already tardy. At least her teammates had stepped up, but it looked like Hufflepuff was out in force as well.

The warm air soon had both her hair and her uniform plastered to her skin. Rigby was soggy and in a bad mood, she just hoped she would make to the end of the game without being ejected for unsportsmanlike conduct. Today was not the day to tangle with the newly anointed Ravenclaw keeper.

(Hufflepuff Beater)

Etta frowned at Rose and i pointed to Elana and Polly of Ravenclaw.

"Hows useless cans sthey be? She ignores the sbludger abouts tos hits hers, ands shes snot botherings tos protec sher team mate," croaked Etta mid sniffles. Etta coughed and held a hand to her throbbing her. "Sno-ones comings."

Feeling increaisngly annoyed at the ignorance of the opposing team, Etta looked at her bat and it's forever staying stain of blood, Kate's blood. Feeling worse than ever, Etta hugged Rose and pointed at Kate, winked at her team and flew over to the Ravenclaw Keeper, she had nothing better to do whilst both Bludgers were in play.

"Skate," cried Etta with a sniffle as she flung herself into Kate's unexpecting arms. "I'ms sorrys your teams sblind."

Etta felt her nose twitch and grinned inwardly. Pulling her head away from Kate's arm, Etta looked at her friend. She held up her Beater's Bat with a weak smile.

"Looks sits still gots yours bloods," she croaked pointing to the blood that had dried into a crack of the bat. Etta sneezed and cough repeatedly without covering her nose and mouth. She looked at Kate angelicly. "Is gots thes flues hopes yous hads yours flu shots."

(Ravenclaw Chaser)

Kim scowled at Matt. SHe was trying to be sportslike, and here he was taking advantage of it. HE could have waited for her to get back in playing position....stupid little badger, she thought.

Kim raced up to Matt, but she was too late. He had already thrown the ball by the time she had caught up. SHe winced, looking at the ball which was spinning right towards the hoops. "way to have good sportsmanship, Mattie," she said sarcastically.

Kim hoped that the team wouuld hurry up and get on the pitch. Where was the team. There's no 'we' in team, but there should be...geez.

(Ravenclaw chaser)

Polly cursed herself for not being fast enough with the quaffle watching as it zoomed towards the goal in a sure hit she sighed exasperated.

Lowering her body down into a more aerodynamic position Polly flew across the pitch stopping to hover about 3/4 of the way waiting for the ball to come back in play.

(Ravenclaw Chaser)

Kim sat tensed up on her broom. SHe looked over at Polly and saw the dissapointment on her face, too. Kim glared at Matt, then the quaffle. As if, like that's gonna help, she thought.

Kim wondered if maybe a Bludger would pass by and knock the QUaffle off course. That'd be sick! thought Kim, but unlikely, probably.

(Hufflepuff Beater and Captain) Rose's heart dropped as she saw how much Etta was hurting inside. She wanted to tell her friend to go back to the Hospital Wing, get better, just wait until the next match. But she knew how much this meant to Etta, and how upset she herself would be if she was in the Head of House's position, so she just bit her lip and kept silent. Etta flew over to Kate, Rose wanted to fallow, but then had a second thought and decided to act Captainly for a moment. Rose flew over to Skie, Huffies Seeker and Co-Captain. “Skie luffy! Just in case you didn't know, the Ravvie's Seeker is on the pitch, so it's time to kick things up a notch. No pressure. Oh, and make sure you give Etta lotsa love.” Rose glanced over to see two Ravenclaw Chaser's ganging up in her badger. “Oh no you don't!” She flew over to the loose bludger, angry now, and with a loud 'bam' sent the demonic little ball flying towards Kim's left arm. “Don't touch the Quaffle.”

(Ravenclaw chaser)

"Watch out Kim!" Polly cried speeding across the pitch in a nose dive position. Upon reaching near the bludger it was a race between her and the bludger as she edged ever near Polly pulled her hands back double wrapped her legs around the broom and prepaired to perform the bludger bash.

Diving low Polly hit the bludger with the tip of her broom in an attempt to send it of course. Feeling the vibrations all across her broom Polly wobbled slightly loosing her grip on the broom she turned to watch Kim.

Would the bludger bash have worked or would Polly have knocked it into a more dead on aim? Only time would tell.

DING!!!

The ball went through the hoop, 10 all now, what a score. He was destined for this position. He looked around the pitch again, he was still a little dizzy from his spinning session, but he would gather himself up before the ball came back into play again.

Ravies didn't deserve the qudditch cup this year, it wouldn't be fair as they won the house cup last...

He smiled his evil grin as Rose sent the bludger straight towards Kimmy, she would be badly hurt, but who cares?

(Ravenclaw Chaser)

Kim heard Polly's warning, and saw her attempt to prevent the ball from hitting her- it was pointless. The ball spun a little bit but it straightened up and hit her left wrist. SHe heard the inmistakable crack and looked down to see blood and bone. Kim shuddered at the uglyness of it. There was no doubt that she broke it, and she had to finish the game still. Kim rolled her eyes and groaned in pain. SHe wrapped up her hand in her now stained robes.

Kim looked over to Rose, the Beater as if to say "happy now?". She would have to go to the hospital wing for this. SHe looked over to Polly. She was trying to help her. She wasn't mad at Polly, but she was in pain. Kim wondered where the Quaffle was when she heard the ding that meant it had just gone through the hoops.

Kim groaned. SHe could have tried to stop it, but she...she looked down at her arm. No she couldn't have stopped it. Her arm was useless. It'd be in a cast for at least 3 months...what a pain...literally.

Kim knew that she could last through the last bit of the match. SHe might be of less use, and in a lot more pain, but she could do it.

(Hufflepuff Seeker and Co Captain)

Skie was lost deep deep deep deep deep in her own mind, circling the maze and examining the little cracks and flaws with a practically toddler like fascination. Whoa... in her head, Skie was standing in a dome of darkness, surrounded by thousands of memories that she had but to ask for to gain access to them. Hey... what about that time... Skie pulled up a memory with the flick of her wrist. It was that once upon a time when she had first ridden on a broomstick. Thinking back to it, Skie suddenly watched the magic unfold and apex into... well, the first time she got up into the air, she flew up 20 meters and threw up on her brother. Laughing to herself inside her head, Skie was suddenly hit by a realization. She was playing a quidditch game. "WAH! AH!" Smacking herself HARD in the forehead, Skie merged from her inner conversation with a head groggy from to much self involvement. "Jeez!" Rubbing her eyes, Skie then bit her lip. The game was spinning around her like an out of control carousel, and Skie still hadn't even caught a glimpse of the snitch. "Darn all periods of inanimateness." Skie said with a nasty frown.

(Hufflepuff Beater and Captain) Rose kept her eyes on the bludger as danced towards Kim. Polly had tried to stop it, or send it in another direction, at least, but it was pointless. Only moments later, the demonic ball slammed into the Ravvie and crushed her hand like a peanut. Rose drew back and gasped. “Oh my gooderness, I didn't actually think it would hit her!” Feeling a bit guilty, the Huffie yelled over to Kim, “Um, I'm sorry! I mean, yay me, poor you.....ah......no hard feelings? It is a bloody sport, right?” Blushing, she turned her attention to Skie, who finally seemed to be trying to find the shiny Snitch. And the Ravenclaw Seeker didn't seem to have seen it yet ether, which was good. Then the 'ding' came and Rose WHOOPED as she saw that the score was now 10-10. “GOOOOO MATTHEW!!!” The wooooshing sound of a bludger came rushing at Rose from her left, and in a blind panic, she swung around and hit it hard. But her expression suddenly changed to horror as she saw it was heading towards Etta! She didn't mean for that to happen! Calling, screaming, Rose flew as fast as she could towards her fellow Beater. “ETTA BLUDGER DUCK!!!!!”

(Ravenclaw Chaser)

Kim looked over at Rose who was trying to be nice. She rolled her eyes and lifted her arm, "Really? Have you seen the ugly thing?!" After a moment Kim rolled her eyes again and said,"Yeah i guess. No hard feelings."

Kim saw Rose hit the Bludger towards her own team member! How horrid, she thought.

(Hufflepuff Beater)

Etta stared wide eyed at the bludger coming straight towards her, she let out a silent scream and gulped.

great now i've lost my voice, she thought watching her life flash before her ill eyes.

Suddenly Etta shook herself and looked down at the bat in her hand.

Your a bloomin Beater woman with a titanium coated bat, get a grip and hit!she shouted at herself.

Realising she didn't have enough time to ready an attack on the bludger, Etta knew she had to survive it first. Doing the Bludger Stand, she lifted her aching limbs up into a handstand, her eyes on the Bludger at all times, when it came close enough, she pushed off with all her remaining strength and let go of her broom, 'jumping' in the air slightly so the bludger could pass under her.

Dropping back down on to her broom, Etta turned herself around and narrowed her eyes. Kicking herself off, Etta flew after the bludger and waited to get closer.

Once close enough she performed the Rotating Power Beat once more, turning herself three times like a discus player, Etta swung hard into the Bludger and sent it pinging straight at Kim, and for added messeaure she let go of her bat wondering if Polly had a shield for this as well, as it was now winging its way directly at the back of Polly's skull.

(Ravenclaw Chaser)

Looking at Kim Polly thought of going to the professors stand to retrieve some medicine that could make Kims hand better but before she had started on that course Polly heard the tell tale whisp of a bludger.

Spinning round she saw a speeding bludger coming in a looping action towards her. Knowing it was going to hit the top half of her Polly used one of her old techniques the keepers spin where the keeper would do a back blip hitting the quaffle or in this case the bludger away from its target.

Concertrating on the right moment Polly moved when she felt the bluger hit the end of her broom. But a bludger unlike a quaffle has much more force behind it and so didn't zoom of into the air but zoomed straight into Pollys stomach.

Doubling over Polly felt the wind leave her as she gasped for breath tears of the shock and pain came to her eyes. 'Breathe Polly breathe' she told herself as the sick feeling came.
